Ty for going over the bridge just to give us an update on the good 'old Morrestown mall. It used to be really hopping back years ago.. My grands still like to go to Willow Grove & Cherry Hill mall too. A great Sat get-a-way outing... I'm surprised you didn't bump into mall-cop..lol. Great video. Malls are fading away so quickly now...😢
My local closing mall is Exton Square. I used to go there all the time when it was so popular with so many stores and now it turned into a hospital and a macys is still there. The rest of the mall is trashed.
Gen X'er here. When I was growing up the Cherry Hill Mall and Moorestown Mall were the places to hang out. Many fond memories. Unfortunately, malls are a dying breed around the whole country.
I grew up going to this mall, I remember going there as a young boy and there used to be duck ponds going down the center of the corridors with foot bridges going over top of the water to get from one side to the other. Great times!
I remember them but I am pretty sure that was the Cherry Hill Mall. When you make that L turn and the Grille is in the middle. The stream and ducks were the whole length down the middle.
@@robthefiveo It was a long time ago, but the fact that we both have fond memories of it and are talking about it all these years later in 2024, just goes to show how wonderful those times in our younger years that we lived in were, and it is so nice to reminisce with someone who had the same experience.
I remember as a kid going to the mall and the K-Mart across Route 38. Long before Walmart took over. KMart and Kiddie City at the airport circle were the best for toys 😂
Online shopping like ebay, etsy, and amazon have really impacted a lot of malls. Malls are still good for the movie theaters, food court, trying on clothing and mall walking. Mall price are generally expensive which is probably no doubt keeping alot of people away from shopping at malls.
Mall prices back then were crazy in the old days.. and thee early days of the internet, you could buy things very cheap of the same brands online.. Not like now tho, lot of the brands have more like a monopoly on all the "online" stores, which kinda ruins the online part, unless its cheaper chinese knock offs. While malls need to make a profit and raise cost of goods very high. And lot of the malls are sometimes very far away, especially in rural ares, malls to me was a luxury trip, as it was far away trip; while Amazon came along, ebay, etc, came along, i got to enjoy new things at my door step without wasting time of traveling soo far.
I'm really glad that the Cherry Hill Mall is doing well because I used to go there with my Late Dad, my Mom, and my Brother as well🤗🤗🤗💖💖💖!!!! And I do remember playing Pac-Man and Ms Pac-Man for a quarter a game!! These days I tend to go to the malls on occasion with my Boyfriend and we like to play the claw machines and we both won a stuffed animal (when my boyfriend wins at the claw machine he always gives me the stuffed animal) few times😃😃!!! And as far as the Morrestown Mall is concerned, it doesn't look as dead as some malls I've seen on UA-cam!!! And I so agree that if a Dave & buster or Chuck e cheese's gets a place at the Moorestown Mall then definitely it'll make a comeback 😃😃👍👍👍!!!! However, I hate to see medical facilities take over malls because it takes away from the✨ fun and the magic ✨of the malls I so remember from my Childhood🤗🤗🤗. Thanks for sharing the Morrestown Mall with us 😃😃😃😃👍👍👍👍👍and 🙏🙏 I pray that Morrestown Mall makes a come back 🙏🙏✨💖👍!!!
You’re so funny and entertaining Philly captain -the jokes about planet fitness giving you bagels and pizza that’s hilarious --that’s why I can’t wait for the next Vlog of yours happy new year and howdy from southeast Virginia😂
There are going to be apartments around there some One of the real reason why the malls do not do well is because of the other shopping centers. Nixon Drive next to the Moorestown Mall and The Garden State Park Shopping area where the Garden State Park Race Track used to be in Cherry Hill.
It seems dead to me. I occasionally go there on a Friday afternoon after lunch and no one is there. I used to buy used CDs at the FYE in there, but it’s mostly DVDs now.
I always thought this mall was not as good as Cherry Hill and Deptford even 20 years ago. Definitely an Apple 🍎 💻 store would help these out dated malls. 🛍️
Five bucks! Remember when you could play a video game for a quarter - if you were really good at pacman you could play it all day long on a single quarter
I used to work at the KMart across the road from there back in the late 70s. Funny thing is that I don't remember really shopping in this mall. Always seemed to go to Cherry Hill Mall

It was definitely Moorestown Mall, but I know what you are referring to at Cherry Mall.
Guess I should have googled it before posting. You are correct. But great memories from both malls.

Hey PHILLY CAPTAIN, great video and tour revisiting Moorestown Mall-NJ..Great Christmas decorations and more..Enjoy the Wkd & TOODLES...
The Moorestown Mall used to have many stores. They had a Gap, Strawbridges etc. Where Cooper is now was Sears.

The founder of the Victor Talking Machine Company, Eldridge Johnson, who held the trademark for their Nipper dog logo lived in Moorestown.

The Deptford Mall, amazingly, is still busy. Last time I was at MM was when Jose Garces had “ Distrito”. Their fish tacos were really good.
Turn 7 is owned by the former owner at Foremans Mills.

Hermans Sports FTW
I remember going to the Boscov's as a teenager and waiting in line for tickets because they had a ticketmaster location in there
Capt, I use to work there
This was a bad mall for a good twenty years. They would offer us crazy deals to rent from them.
I gotta disagree. I went to PF for a year and dropped from 237 down to 195 and had some nice muscle gains to show for it and that was in my early 40s.
It seems dead to me. I occasionally go there on a Friday afternoon after lunch and no one is there. I used to buy used CDs at the FYE in there, but it’s mostly DVDs now.
Do you ever take Rick the puppy to the mall? For a picture with Santa
Place is done !
I love this mall. Much rather go here than Cherry Hill. Not the big crowds or the ghetto atmosphere that Cherry Hill mall attracts.

Hello Captain just wondering if you know what the secret is victoria's secret

Where is the Let's Watch People Fall?
Any pa driver heading here stay out of the left lane
Why do you keep blowing off the food courts last 2 mall videos you just blew on by lol I wanna know what's there
