I like your weathered freight cars.
I have an older conventional version of the NW2 in the Southern road name, also made by MTH. It's a great running engine. I ordered one with sound, but received one without sound. I should have returned it, but I didn't, so that's on me now. I won't blame MTH for my laziness. Now it's in my pile to sell because I have transitioned to all Legacy controlled scale engines, except for a few early 70's semi-scale MPC sets that have sentimental value, and which ironically don't run half as good as my NW2. If I run the NW2 with my semi-scale it looks huge. The damaged paint on Eric's model actually looked good to me. I thought it was very realistic looking.

I like the Paint less areas on the panels as it relates to the real seams
I don't know about you guys, but I'd love to see a review of Chessie (the cat). Maybe see some footage of it on the layout too.

He's probably having trouble programming Chessie into the remote.
dunno what gauge that model would be but it is a live model but the emissions might be a problem in an enclosed space
Very nice units, I love the Chessie System paint scheme, its so sharp.
The owner of the train store near my house have a cat named Hudson because the guy used to work for the D&H Railroad. Thought it something some people might find interesting.
Thats cool, whatever happened to the Delaware and hudson I was told it was bought by Canadian national.

Sweet review Eric! The NW2 is probably one of my favorite road switchers built buy EMD besides the GP7. MTH did great on this model I’ve gotta say. The only thing is about the MTH models is that when they start to move they lurch towards a bit. Still very nice though!

Nice! I really wish MTH would make non powered units that do something ie, operating couplers. A suggestion, lower the volume of the music at the end credits, it's overpowering for the outtakes.

Love this set, the paint looks really great, other then the decal flaw, but like you said, once you have it weather, it will really look great and that decal flaw will add some realism. Thanks for sharing.

Good idea using the faulty lettering on the locomotives as a weathering opportunity for said locomotives.
I’m thinking of getting two of these switchers and possibly converting one to a powered calf.

I am having trouble with running mth trains with my lionel cw 80 transformer. The mth train stall on the end of the track section. Can you tell me what the problem could be.
New to the hobby.. could you install a remote coupling to the dummy calf?

@@felixthetrainfan4819 He very clearly says in the video that there is no smoke unit. Which is why you don't see any smoke.
