    Hi my name is Phil I started on the footplate in 1961 at Edgeley shed and i have fired 45596 a number of times plus a number of other engines I did 50 yrs on footplate I finished my time out at Longsight as a driver in 2011 Regards Phil.

      @philipholt9112 That's awesome 👌 Do love my LMS locos. I am currently a cleaner at BY MPD, hoping to work my way up through the ranks. I go out occasionally when invited and I must say, firing is lovely, and quite rewarding.

      @@SVRSteam HI. I was a cleaner for the first six months and passed out as a fireman.I enjoyed my time on the footplate in the end i finished driving the big i finished up driving the bigger trains Regards Phil.

      @philipholt9112 So you worked your way up through pilot duties, freights, local passengers and onto the semi stopping and expresses

    If because 15xx BR (W) Hawksworth Class late design similar than 9400 sharing same boiler, colossally heavy for size restricted route ability for London wheelbases speed higher passenger services

      @@williamtacey7770 They did indeed. Including shunting ECS around Paddington and banking a couple of trains up the banks.
