I bought my shield about a year and a half ago and I bought it from a firearm dealer in town and I ended up paying like 500 for it. I wish I would've waited, that's a pretty sweet deal!
The Shield is a better gun than the G43. I picked up my second from PSA. $215 after rebate is a smoking deal. There are shops in town still selling Shields for $409.
Most of the shops near me had them for $330 a few weeks back but I think the distributor pricing may have gone up a bit as shops seem to have marked them back up to $370. I still can't believe I got 2 extra 8 round mags for $235 total after rebate
I just bought a Taurus PT709 Slim. I handled 3 single stack subcompacts at my local shop, they were the Ruger LC9S, the Shield, and the Taurus PT709. The LC9S was too much, all I'm gonna say about that. The Shield was extremely tight, the slide release, the safety, and racking the slide, all super stiff and tight. The Taurus was perfect, it fit better in my hands, has a nice manual safety and it is not stiff and hard to rack the slide. On top of all that, it was in awesome shape and $200. Its my EDC now.
Taurus is a weird company. They make decent guns but they seem to cut corners on QC so they seem to get quite a few lemons and have had issues with guns going off from shaking or being dropped. They will stand behind their guns but I try not to buy taurus unless there is a super good deal as I hate having to be QC and see if a gun works out of the box. If buying a taurus I always like to hand pick from the guns the shop has as sometimes you can find obvious issues just by looking. I have an old PO-Surp model 82 revolver that is a nice S&W model 10 clone that shoots very nice. And my Rossi 62 and 92 rifles have been super for the money.
You said the name of the website too quickly that you bought your MP Shield. Please send me the company you bought yours through. Also, if I buy the gun through PSA do you still get the 2 extra 8 round clips?
I do not know where your from but your t shirt GREASY TONY'S Was a cheese steak place downtown new brunswick, n.j. that was there for over 40 years until they rebuilt the town. We used to go there after the bars would close or before we went drinking or just on an everyday block your arteries junket. The subs were great!!! And yes they had a pan with extra grease if you wanted. OH MAN I MISS THAT PLACE. Then there was white rose in highland park to which was sold and now sucks. Great vid, I am going to buy a hi-point in 45 and their carbine in 45 so I have the same ammo. They have been tested to the hilt and will shoot as long as you use good ammo. And always keep em clean boys & girls.
We can't buy hand guns in my state without special permits. I wish you would find some good deals on long guns. I like to have a similar auto shot gun withan 18" or barrel. Or a double barrel shot gun with an 18" barrel. Thanks for sharing your video.
Walmart has some dirt cheap prices on Hatfield Shotguns. They are made by Khan in Turkey IIRC I have a single shot ua-cam.com/video/j-SDsilAV8s/v-deo.html And Khan made my Mossberg Maverick O/U ua-cam.com/video/6y_ADUO4Wpg/v-deo.html The semi is $2-300, I thing the O/U is longer than 18" so you may be better served with a steoger condor.
My first pistol was a Hipoint in 40 S&W . May consider one in .45 ACP. I prefer pocket pistols in 9mm. My fingers are small enough that I do not need a pinky extension. I reload for 9mm too!
Hi-points are not the worst gun for the money as they do go bang but they are made to meet that $180 price point. For the money a shield is a steal at ~$200. Same capacity as the Hi-point but smaller and lighter and about the same or less recoil due to having a lockup vs blowback action.
The hi point slide kicks like a mule, but it works every time. For $50 more you can get a taurus pt111 g2. Its a damn amazing handgun for the price and could easily go for double the price it is
Sccy has a horrible trigger I gave it away to a guy I know that lives in HUD housing he can’t afford anything but now at least he has a pistol and a box and a half of ammunition
Still can't figure out how they can afford to sell them this cheap. In an effort to add to the savings I made my first Kydex holster for the shield. I spent about $30 on kydex and $20 building a press but I have enough material to make 20 holsters
The only feed issues I had was using .38 105grn SWCs, and the shield actually ran them better than my other 9mms. Haven't seen any mag related failures yet
After getting an Academy to price match PSA, my S&W Shield 9 after rebate is going to be $200 I do hate missing out on the Hi Point deal Cabelas had for 2 days, a Hi Point C9 with a hard case and a Kershaw Hi Point edition knife for $99 !!!! I'm kicking myself everyday.
The Hi-point is only worth $99. and between the 2 the shield offers a much better gun that is smaller and lighter and holds the same number of rounds. You did well.
I was so confused when I saw the Hi-Point come out with a title like "Best....9mm Pistol Deal". I was wondering how the word "Best" was EVER used to describe a Hi-Point :'D
True, Hipoint isn't a refined gun. But they are reliable. Like an AK vs an AR, each has its application. Refinement isnt the end all to effectiveness. Cadillacs and Lincolnshire are nice, but I wouldn't use one to haul firewood.
Just found out the highpoint carbine 9 mm was used in the columbine shootings. Kinda changed my opinion on highpoint in a big way. It did a lot of the killing.
@@Darkpara1 you hear wrong.. load the mags tap them on your hand make sure rounds are in mag properly and no failures on mine.. true only 250 rounds so far but dead nuts accurate.. 100% reliable with 8 round mags.. 10 round mags I had a couple of rounds I had to bump the slide to go Into battery.. and fun to shoot.. 15 to 20 yards and 9 inch steel plates go ding every time.. I have other more expensive but it's a close tie between the c9 and my 19x as far as joy to shoot .. both are accurate and reliable.. is the glock worth another 400.. time will tell..
B.s. I have one and have fired 250 rounds even hollow points.. with the 8 round mags 100% I have more expensive guns but bought this to see first hand if the people on here were honest.. nope.. I'm even going to buy a second to see if the first is a fluke..
Mights well carry a black powder pistol 😂 the chances of it working are about the same. Every time ive ever seen someone bring out a hipoint to shoot. It jams constantly. Stove pipes.. Failures to load the round in the chamber... Ive even seen them spud load rounds b4. It would shoot 2 no problem. 3rd would get stuck in the barrel no matter what. Thank god being owned by a smart human he knew it. Otherwise boom! 4th round would turn it into a claymore hhaaha. Even the carbines are shit... They are all hardly a firearm id ever trust to save my life. My glock will actually hit a target. Ive yet to see someone shoot a nice group with one yet. Like this guy.... You got lucky. Bc for everyone of your guns from hi-point that works. 75% dont! Or start to then fail. If they were reliable safe guns id be the biggest fan. But it is not that
I bought my shield about a year and a half ago and I bought it from a firearm dealer in town and I ended up paying like 500 for it. I wish I would've waited, that's a pretty sweet deal!
I ended up getting my shield for $264.......... was $299 with free shipping, $40 transfer fee from FFL and got the $75 rebate.

Gun&ShotTV i saved up the money to order a g43........ When it arrived it was 2 shields. Go figure.

Awesome price as I would love to own one but don't care for the CA model...you can't beat it for the quality...Good info and vid...Good stuff...
The CA roster is such a joke. Hopefully that gets overturned somehow in the future.

Just can't really carry one without a back brace.

Thanks for watching
My friend got a Hipoint. I chose a G2C. We are both happy...
I wouldn't stand in front of my highpoint
I'd get a taurus pt111 g2 for $200. Or Sccy. They don't even use high points in the ghetto anymore lol.
The Shield is a very good value for $200
Sccy has a horrible trigger I gave it away to a guy I know that lives in HUD housing he can’t afford anything but now at least he has a pistol and a box and a half of ammunition
I like my Glock 43, to each his own.
+Mike Carroll like I said I would have went with the 43 but they are double the price shields were selling for
That is a great deal
Still can't figure out how they can afford to sell them this cheap. In an effort to add to the savings I made my first Kydex holster for the shield. I spent about $30 on kydex and $20 building a press but I have enough material to make 20 holsters
are you going to sell them?
I think I spent $400 on mine, love that little gun. The 8 round mags feel better than the 7 rounder, but I have big hands.
The only feed issues I had was using .38 105grn SWCs, and the shield actually ran them better than my other 9mms. Haven't seen any mag related failures yet
? Do u have any guns for $40
Baby X you could make a simple shotgun out of some pipes.
For $250 you can get a Taurus pt111 g2. And for $300 you could get a S&W SD9VE. Either of them guns are better then that lump of shit high point

Blazini1980 a2 wow now im kicking myself. I would have definitely paid for it.

A gun is a gun. Just because a Dodge charger was used to run over a crowd doesn't reflect on the vehicle itself.
Man you spread stupid far and wide
Would they have been less dead if bombed like in boston.. or shot with anything else.. nope.. go spread your b.s. somewhere else
I think I'd be better off slapping an attacker with ten $20 bills than I am with a Hi-point to defend myself
But like I explain in the video, the Shield is a great gun for Hi-point money
Yee of little faith. I've not had one failure with my junk Hi Point 45, can't speak for the 9mm though, I hear it's shit.
I bought a hi point 9 mm several years ago for $70. It is heavy, not good looking. But, it always works. It sits under the seat of my pickup for years
@@Darkpara1 you hear wrong.. load the mags tap them on your hand make sure rounds are in mag properly and no failures on mine.. true only 250 rounds so far but dead nuts accurate.. 100% reliable with 8 round mags.. 10 round mags I had a couple of rounds I had to bump the slide to go Into battery.. and fun to shoot.. 15 to 20 yards and 9 inch steel plates go ding every time.. Made outta cast iron.. jams about every other shot

U got one of the lucky ones! 1/25 i figure
And considering i got my Wife's S&W glock clone for $200 .. Ya my opinion stands. Dont put your life in the hands of something so low quality.
