I have not tried adding fertilizer while rooting cuttings, the same with insecticide. Since your medium is sterile, Yes you need to fertilize when new growth appears. Use mild NPK fertilizer to avoid burning the young roots. Triple 20 NPK seems to me to be too strong for cuttings just starting to take root but if you have positive result with it then it's okay. I use an EC meter and dilute the 20-20-20 to an EC of 2.0 (1000ppm = 1 part fertilizer to 1000 parts water = a 0.1% solution .) The 20-20-20 is sterile but it can cause algae to grow which may cause rot so I will use only water like you advise until I see leaves growing then use the 2.0 Ec solution of 20-20-20 .I use it on pepper seedlings and it does not burn their roots but if this batch fails I will try another batch using an Ec of 1.0 @@LateGrower

Depende sa bilis ng paglaki. Pag lumabas na ang ugat sa ilalim ay pwede na ilipat sa lupa.
