Good advice. Very well analysed. Your retirement, medical care and education of your children is taken care by the govt. Plus if you love vacations & adventure no better place than Europe. Enjoy life.
Medical care is cheeper in India compared to those European countries, children education is free in govt. schools not in private schools, same as in India. In these countries you need to pay atleast 40-50% of your salary in as tax😂 don't think the facilities are free. Leave about buying a property, renting also very expensive. Hello Akshat, Really enjoy your LinkedIn & UA-cam snippets. Really insightful. Keep 'em coming. Also, as someone working in the USA, I absolutely relate with the point of 'belongingness'. Everything might be perfect here, but I still miss Delhi; the street food, metro, people, local haunts etc. I know many people in India might think I am absurd, but these feelings only emanate once you are far far away from home.
I studied in Belgium and got a job in Germany, since i knew German. Learning local language, really helps :) Germany, Netherlands and Belgium have good opportunities. You could also travel to all 27 EU countries without any trouble. For example, in Germany, you get a PR within 3 years, if your salary is above a specific limit..! There are job vacancies in Europe in almost every profession you can think of. We just need to learn the local language, that's it!
Even if you learn German you won't be able to hold a conversation like the native speakers! I mean you just did a course and they grew up here, getting that level of fluency takes like at least 10 years. I know people who have been living in Germany since last 15 years and still struggle when it comes to speaking in a group where everyone is a native speaker. Not to mention that there is a lot of "Umgangssprache" words which are used and you can't know all of them. It's a very long process and might take half of your life. The only people who would enjoy are your kids, because for them it would lot easier and also to make friends with people. The feeling of belongingness is never there, you are just a cog in the entire wheel, the only people with whom you can hang out with is other fellow Indians, even if you can speak C2 level German. Then comes the taxes part and I can go on and on, but it's of no use :) Also if you are getting married in the future, I assume you're marrying someone from India, then your spouse also have to learn the language and maybe they don't have the interest "oder keine Lust", then it would really get very lonely for them! Moreover, your kids will grow up learning only German and not much English, which will confine them only to Germany. All I want to say is that people should know the big picture before making any decisions as those decisions are gonna influence not only theirs but also other people's lives who would be dependent on them.
Very well said! These are also some of the aspects which one should be aware of, before making any decisions. But frankly speaking, i also wasn't aware of these negative aspects and simply took the decision to move abroad, and looking back 8 years, i don't regret them at all. Although the points you mentioned above are all correct, living in any country outside our home-country has its own challenges, it's all about how we find our way out of it. Taxes, yes they are high, but as Akshat says in his videos, when you are in a higher income bracket in India, you pay high taxes too, but do we get good health care, infrastructure and social security facilities in our country? we get all these facilities here. Even living and earning here for 5-10 years of our life, will give us that financial push and a good career growth, to go back to India and work at a higher post in any company or work on our own startup, and contribute to the growth of our country by being a job creator :) I have friends who speak really great German and have integrated into the society very well, and also friends who, decided to move back to India permanently, because of the points you rightly mentioned above. So I think it is definitely worth taking that risk to study abroad, find a job to recover all that education money within two years, and then make a decision whether to stay longer or to go back to India. In both the cases we are not losing anything, just gaining :)

Hey Akshat, thanks for the wonderful video. It would be really helpful if you could create a video on professional careers and lifestyles from PPP perspective in countries such as Canada and NZ, where majority of the Indians migrate. Throw some light on different industries to work in these countries and how big are industries like MC, IB etc
Sir, I am an BBA+ MBA graduate & there is huge difference in work life balance india vs abroad. Even, passing from Top B schools won't give positive work environment here. This is my personal experience while working in mnc.
Don’t compare earnings. Compare how much you can save abroad versus how much you can save in India. The difference is startling. You can save Twenty to thirty times more abroad. I am talking from my own experience of working overseas. We Indians are great savers.
The market is getting really interesting lately, but don't know how to go about it since i heard it comes with losses just like what is happening now with me
Your video is good. But I also wanted to know from a perspective of raising kids abroad. Eg. the positives and negatives of raising kids with US based education and culture. Will kids and grandkids turn out to be more americanised? This is a major factor in deciding shifting abroad I feel .
Hey Akshat pleasure to have people like you on youtube who are so bright and full of knowledge.. I was wondering if could you do a video of buying and selling NFTS.
Working abroad is awesome if you are working in Middle East. No income tax, even US stock market income is not taxed. High quality of life. And india is few hours away. Lots of Indians are there in Middle East.
Got to know about Banoffee pie today. An English dessert pie made from bananas, cream and a thick caramel sauce, combined either on a buttery biscuit base or one made from crumbled biscuits and butter.
Two questions if that can be processed approx, 1.can you please estimate range of purchasing power parity and salary equivalence . 2.can we get abroad jobs from India?? Like salary of abroad by living in India.
I don't agree with your idea of PPP. Goods and services of the same quality are approx 5X more expensive in the US than in India. This applies to taxi fares, haircuts, real estate, or a restaurant meal. Now the specific example of a pastry you gave applies only to branded items originating from abroad. For example, iPhones, luxury cars etc cost roughly the same anywhere in the world because their point of intellectual origin is in US/Germany/ etc. Now of course, the pastry you ate was made in India by Indian raw materials, but most of its cost is towards the brand royalty that's to be repatriated abroad to its country of origin. This fee will be the same in India, Japan, Vietnam or Egypt. And so will your bill in all these countries.
iPhones don’t cost the same in India & US. India has a higher tax rate on imported items and you actual end up paying up to 25-30k more on the newer iPhones. And the amount goes up for pricier items.
@@swastikrajghosh minus local taxes and international shipping, iPhones, Gucci bags and Tesalas will cost almost the same anywhere in the world because their point of manufacture/ intellectual origin is a single place in the US or EU. On the other hand, a leather bag crafted in Rajasthan, Bangladesh or Texas will all vary widely in cost. That's due to PPP.
@@abhishekinfra Comparing a luxury/high price item with a low price local product is not an Apples to Apples comparison. If you want to compare with Rajasthani bags, compare it with something made by Native Americans or some traditional handcrafted Japanese stuffs.
@@swastikrajghosh the point was that Akshat was dismissing the concept of PPP by comparing the cost of a BRANDED pastry he ate in India and Singapore. That's not right. Branded items -- even non-luxury ones, like a pastry -- will cost almost the same globally, less local taxes and shipping. As I said earlier, ordinary restaurant meals, cinema tickets or taxi rides are the true indicators of PPP --- same quality of service, but varying widely in absolute dollar cost.
@@abhishekinfra and he even ignored health care and taxes bruh taxes in Germany is like 35 to 40 percent 😅 but why did he ignore this point one can not simply ignore living expenses and taxes and healthcare
Hello sir ! Just a shoutout to your videos and content . I should say that the videos are worth so much and to share such great topics of discussion on a public platform like UA-cam is really generous . I hope this meteoric rise of yours continues ! Good luck !
Hi Akshat - really good video, you also consider the Ppp post tax. I think that also plays a difference. You should also mention that savings in absolute terms have its Advantages as well. A frugal lifestyle in the US/ Middle East markets - you could end up with usd 50k savings per annum. In about 5 years that accumulates to 2 cr (without investing). With a salary of 28L pre tax in India, it take much more. Quality of life is also major factor why people move abroad. Keep up the good work! Cheers
Akshat had covered this in one of his videos. CFA is like an add-on. It can't replace MBA which is a full time course. He had also suggested that MBA from good colleges abroad will lead to frontend jobs while the one from India will lead to backend jobs
Hi, being in Swiss and France for last 10 years, first as PhD student in Physics and then later on as Postdoctoral fellow in CERN, I can tell you that, apart from the very nice points Akshat mentioned, there are some other practical points : 1. If you want to live abroad, get ready to do all the daily chores by yourself. It's very expensive to hire house help. 2. Learn driving. It's a must. When you come outside, try to get international license or atleast indian license so that you can exchange it when you reach there. 3. Be open to people, join expat groups.. involve yourself in local activities etc. For people who studies science (specially Physics) and wants to come abroad, I can share my experiences. Let me know. Ciao. 😊
@@srareviews9647 not really. People in Europe are quite tolerant, specially in countries like Germany and France. Only thing is, if you will learn German they will love you more 😊
@@srareviews9647 Canada is also good. People are very cooperative there. Some places in UK and Australia can be difficult to live. But big places like London, Sydney and Melbourne are still good. Honestly, if you want are a science student then try for US, Europe or Canada.
No one can explain perfectly the pros and cons of living in developed countries. You should spare at least 2 years of your lifetime and experience. I bet you will be enlightned for sure.
Everything happens the way you described it except for the 'I'll come back' part. Sad, but true. It rarely happens. Only a few people like you come back to India. For the others, the rut of office and green card queue goes on for years and before they realise it, they are in their 40s and 50s. It's really hard to shift their entire life and kids to a different country at that age.
Industry and the demand for the same in economy also depends A simple example is in areas like electrician, plumbing and skilled trades have lower pay scale here, but the same who are hustling in developed nations can earn almost equivalent to these top end professional careers. (Though the earning growth in future might be debatable)
Hi Akshat, I have a very important question for you, If you can please answer. I am a software professional who just started last year. I am 23 years old and already making 6 figures per month. I enjoy my work and also love swing trading studying stocks and investing myself instead of just blindly putting money into just index funds(I put money also in index funds but i love pickng stocks on my own (I only put in large cap as i am not experienced enough to identify small cap value stocks), ). Now lot of people tell me that i should not pick stocks on my own because no matter how much i learn to study financial statements and statistics i cannot compete with other people who are actively involved in this buisness. So according to you should an engineering professional spend a little bit of his/her time in studying and picking stocks or do you beleive i should just give and and invest in index Funds and forget about making money by picking stocks on my own. Thanks a lot if you could answer.
hey i'm not pro as akshat but my two cents : you can do swing trading but try to allocate only 5-10% of your portfolio for this and put the rest in index funds ,over time if you see yourself making consistent profits you can gradually increase your allocation for swing trading .you can do anything you set your mind to ,no matter what anyone says just try managing your risks properly ,good luck
I feel you don't need to compete with others when it's about learning, choosing and investing in stock market or for things in general. Every investor has their own method of evaluating and researching. I still do my own research even if big investors have invested in a company because sometimes even their bets can take unexpected turns. If the world worked on the point you mentioned then no businessmen would dare to enter any industry just because someone has already existed. What matters is how ones does it differently and effectively.

I know the so called national media doesn’t say anything . They’re either bribed bullied or blackmailed… but the hindutva extremism is peaking and it’s scary ..
IMO Canada is a good place to work and earn the PR situation their is wayy better than the world, go study and work in the US for 3 or 6 yrs then move to Canada 😂
There is oppurtunity costs involved in decisions. Going abroad is ok. But expenses are very high. Standard of living is also very high. But once you make a decision its very difficult to come back. You will be in a devils advocate position. For eg: canada. 3-5 years will be required for a person to simply come to PR after studies. This comes around 40 lakhs -2 crores. If you plan to settle abroad its a good decision. But please dont waste huge money on fancy education for the sake of getting a degree. Any man can acquire knowledge through reading and experiences. Indian education is still good.

It would be really helpful if you could create a video on professional careers and lifestyles from PPP perspective in countries such as Canada and NZ, where majority of the Indians migrate. Throw some light on different industries to work in these countries and how big are industries like MC, IB etc
Yes, a video on this would be great!
Thanks for sharing, on a lighter note: every gujju and southindian boys desperation to settle down in the USA does not beat the negatives...
Sir, I am an BBA+ MBA graduate & there is huge difference in work life balance india vs abroad. Even, passing from Top B schools won't give positive work environment here. This is my personal experience while working in mnc.
join some easy going MNC like TCS, Wipro if u are in IT, they provide much better work-life balance.
Which top tier B School are you talking about ?
You are a great personality Sir 💯
Honest advise mate. Do what you are good at. And of course we like you a lot and your insight. Keep away from topics which aren't your core competence
Waiting for your video and finally 😀
Don’t compare earnings. Compare how much you can save abroad versus how much you can save in India. The difference is startling. You can save Twenty to thirty times more abroad. I am talking from my own experience of working overseas. We Indians are great savers.
Hey Akshat rightly said.Keep it up.
keep buying and investing in stock or crypto and in the end you will enjoy your rewards. Soon BITCOIN $70K - $10K
The market is getting really interesting lately, but don't know how to go about it since i heard it comes with losses just like what is happening now with me
Investing bitcoin has been a lucrative way of making money, Expert Mrs Sallie Kathy been the one trading for me and it's been great
Other crypto might not survive this long run but Bitcoin is here stay, I encourage the use of expert to count less lose
Bitcoin is on it's way to the moon, no regret trading for some time now
To the best of my knowledge I will advise newbies to trade with an Expert who understands the market with the wave to avoid losses
First comment today. U are really doing a great job Akshat. All the best dude
Hey! Good clarity given. Thanks
God bless you for sharing your knowledge and experience 👍
Got to know about Banoffee pie today. An English dessert pie made from bananas, cream and a thick caramel sauce, combined either on a buttery biscuit base or one made from crumbled biscuits and butter.
Two questions if that can be processed approx,
1.can you please estimate range of purchasing power parity and salary equivalence .
Please upgrade your mic. Content is good and right to the point
Cheers
Can completing all level of CFA get us into top front end jobs of finance without doing an MBA?
YES
@@mahadevisutar1436 okay, thank you, akshat sir are you of the same opinion?
Akshat had covered this in one of his videos. CFA is like an add-on. It can't replace MBA which is a full time course. He had also suggested that MBA from good colleges abroad will lead to frontend jobs while the one from India will lead to backend jobs
@@karnsingh7041 okay thanks man
Hey Abhigyan, which level candidate are you now.
If Level 1 or 2, its a good idea to continue it with MBA.

Is it really Akshat Srivastava ?
Hi, being in Swiss and France for last 10 years, first as PhD student in Physics and then later on as Postdoctoral fellow in CERN, I can tell you that, apart from the very nice points Akshat mentioned, there are some other practical points :
Ciao. 😊
You ever had any racist or anti-indian encounter till now? I am planning my studies in Germany next year.
@@srareviews9647 not really. People in Europe are quite tolerant, specially in countries like Germany and France. Only thing is, if you will learn German they will love you more 😊
@@ArunKumar-eg7vx That's exactly why i am choosing Europe!! I have canada, UK and Australia also in mind...let's see which one is best💯
@@srareviews9647 Canada is also good. People are very cooperative there. Some places in UK and Australia can be difficult to live. But big places like London, Sydney and Melbourne are still good. Honestly, if you want are a science student then try for US, Europe or Canada.
Nice shave. Looking smart Akshat
Really like the humble starting tone Hi everyone 🤗

Everything happens the way you described it except for the 'I'll come back' part. Sad, but true. It rarely happens. Only a few people like you come back to India. For the others, the rut of office and green card queue goes on for years and before they realise it, they are in their 40s and 50s. It's really hard to shift their entire life and kids to a different country at that age.
The goal is to enjoy a open society rest they can do anything.

Hi! it would be great if you could make a video that sheds light on a career in Law abroad for Indian law graduates/lawyers, specific to UK.
Hi Akshat, good content :) 👍
You're welcome 🙂
Make a video on how much you can save working abroad
Worth it
Why are you using all these filters on your video?! Just let it be a simple & clear video
Our india is best rather than foreign slavery 😀
What slave ? You can do business in foreign countries too and can be doing job in India too. Slave is a derogatory word
Industry and the demand for the same in economy also depends
A simple example is in areas like electrician, plumbing and skilled trades have lower pay scale here, but the same who are hustling in developed nations can earn almost equivalent to these top end professional careers. (Though the earning growth in future might be debatable)
Hi Akshat, Please upload video about rights issue and also on Srilanka's economic crisis
Akshat, please make more videos on MBA abroad.
Hi Akshat,
I have a very important question for you, If you can please answer.

Summary on YT
I feel you don't need to compete with others when it's about learning, choosing and investing in stock market or for things in general. Every investor has their own method of evaluating and researching. I still do my own research even if big investors have invested in a company because sometimes even their bets can take unexpected turns. If the world worked on the point you mentioned then no businessmen would dare to enter any industry just because someone has already existed. What matters is how ones does it differently and effectively.
Why are we only taking consulting companies? Tech companies pay more than consulting companies
I have seen many people going to the UK after working in India for a few years with sponsorship visa.
Hey Akshat.. kudos for such knowledgeable sessions.. May u plz suggest some SIP's we should invest in.. looking to invest 5000 per month for next 10-15 years..
Hi Akshat, would really appreciate a video on building profile for MBA abroad for Engineering Students in India.
Why do you want to do MBA after engineering. Go for MS.
Now that's a banoffee pie worth travelling for! 🙂
That desert looked yummy.
What do you think about abroad vs Indian argument in terms of health careers?
If someone has four to five years of experience and then wants to study abroad for MS (NOT MBA) is it a late decision?
No, you can still pursue MS, only thing you have refresh your under graduate courses
@@arjunramesh6638 Tech has more value than management now
This video is goin' to break a lot of hearts😂😂
If someone is working 40 lacs per annum in india , how much should be expected atleast if he is looking for job in USA or European countries ?
Did he talk about high income tax when working in foreign countries. Also, healthcare is extensive to say the least.
True.. in Germany tax is around 45% that is crazy..
I feel awkward watching this channel for free. Hence would be taking up Akshat's paid course which is starting in Oct end! :)
Hi Hitesh, 'Cigarette Smoking is Injurious to Life' is written on the packet still people smoke. In short, we know what is good and bad for us, but, we never care and cater time for that, In this digital era you almost learn everything from the internet as long as you manage your time efficiently. Anyways all the best for your Paid learning.
Everything is true man, but I think you missed the key point which forces many like me to leave india and it has got nothing to do with money… we’re literally scared to live in a place like India nowadays.. I know the so called national media doesn’t say anything . They’re either bribed bullied or blackmailed… but the hindutva extremism is peaking and it’s scary ..
Hindutva is our identity..man it is hindustan
hey akshat can you make a video about legal issues or document we need to work on while working abroad or remote working abroad

How to compare salary what we gets in India and how much it has to be in abroad? I saw in 1 video there is some calculation to be done

Hi Akshat what about Japan?
There are fallacies in the subtitle in the video.
On a side note, Newyork apples here cost 350/kg, and to buy 10 apples you need to shell off anywhere between 500-600.
