Thank you so much for watching my videos!!🥺 I try my best to make videos that help others in any way✨ That’s so exciting!! I wish you all the luck on your journey with your pup💖🌸❤️
So cool watching other SD teams train! ^^ My dog and I are somewhat new to our journey, so I've been trying to learn as much as I can from other people!
Luring with treats help a lot with getting them into a black block! Before that though I would do some rear end awareness as this helps them learn to pivot/swing their rear end behind you. I also used a wall or would do it with my back to my bed frame so he would understand that he needs to be parallel to me. Dpt definitely takes some time for them to understand duration, Atlas is relatively good at this now! Funny enough his block task needs some duration work now, he slowly moves forward over time and gets more and more out of place. I hope that helped some some!❤️✨
@@helperpupatlas7377 yes that did help, staying parallel to me if the biggest thing she had a hard time with she’ll go behind me and I do use treat or kibble the Lure but then part of her body will turn so I think I’ll try using the wall or the bed as you suggested. That is funny that now he’s better at the DPT duration but needs to work on the block. I guess there’s always something thing to work on
@@helperpupatlas7377 and the fact that he is an adolescent if something that you mentioned which is important for you to keep in mind also. Some of the behavior is to think he could grow out of both of practice and just time getting older
Exactly! I have such a hard time remembering that myself and it only makes sense that somethings will need to be revisited. I also find it funny how now he needs more work on block than dpt, when he used to be so good about block. Training is an ongoing thing for sure!
@@helperpupatlas7377 it definitely makes sense that the dogs like humans would need to revisit certain things to remember them more they learn the more they have to remember the more they have to review and I found the same thing with my dog will work on one thing and when she gets good at that there’s something else we have to revisit but I guess that’s just the nature of training
Duration is a toughie for DPT, I’m still working on that with my Service Golden In Training. Glad to see I’m not the only one!
yeah, I get that too
I’m getting my own puppy to train soon and I love watching teams train ✨✨ Atlas is also adorable, gotta love goldens ❤️❤️

My SD also have trouble holding duration of DPT or in front. Do you have any advice on teaching back block we are still working on that
