This man is a legend. After world Beatbox camp 2017 I was blessed to have a long talk with him about the early days of Beatbox in the New York scene. It was the most interesting history lesson I’ve had. Respect to the roots ( see what I did there? ) 😇

Can't believe this guy still has it. I remember when a beat over singing was revolutionary. Every technique you see today is just an evolution of what this man created. Unreal. I wish the crowd were more hype. This dude is like 50 years old and can still hang. The 4 Elements is still one of the nastiest beatbox performances/recordings of all time. And no I didn't just google him - he was my hero when i was like 14 back in the mid 2000's.
I use to listen to the 4 elements everyday as a kid, and its what got me into beatboxing.
He's a legend he bringed us to a different level
He deserves all the respect he can get

I got the chills listening to this! Just shows you how it is not about what you do, it's how you do it. Beatbox has evolved and changed a lot, but I think it is important every once in a while to go back to the roots and remember that beatbox was not created as a competition of who can make a crazier sound, but as another form of art and expressing yourself and your feelings. Beatbox is a part of hip hop and always will be, beatbox is music, feel it!
Those who disliked this probably don't have respect to the beatbox legend.

Beardyman just takes beatboxing to another level. Don't really care about beatboxing much, but for a beatboxing legend, this is quite irritating to hear.
Yeah, y'all don't understand, this was the style in the 80s. Beatbox wasn't as technical back then, so his sounds are more power based. You can't compare Rahzel to modern beatboxers, it's like a whole different thing

No doubt its the godfather of all BeatBox culture, back in the days he was my idol in beatbox and in 2003-2004 taking first places in Latvia, he is still the most crispy sounded beatbox guy, yes he might not be able to do all those fast beats, but his vibe and rhythm is the best out there, those young beatboxers are far far away from him. Peace and word for my man Rahzel.!

This old school beat box is so much better than today's dubstep'ish and endless inward bass filled imitation of beatbox. Some of today's beatboxers are super skilled but nothing will make you rock your head to the beat like old school beatbox.

The same way, some people prefer lyrical/melodic beatbox, while others prefer technical beatbox.
Some people vibe more with hip-hop-style performances while others much prefer EDM-style ones.

I am quite new in bbx and video from 2005 and this performance are still the same. and annoyning for me. I am about 40y old and I hated bbx just because the way these people did it decades ago. now I am happy with such a progress and this "kings" are just oldtime fetishes (mohamad urban included and he is better the this).

I love that the community respects the people like Rahzel who got a lot of us who are like 25 and older into beatboxing.
I had that Rahzel album he did in 2000 and heard if your mother only knew. And that was what got me to learn to beat box. I remember practicing that routine for so long. And almost won my high school talent show doing all Rahzel beats haha

I don't think we would have the beatbox scene/community as we know it without Rahzel. He's the tree from which every branch grew.
This is what I call a real innovative pro beatboxer legend. This guy's style is so diverse and vibrant. He has it on all levels, unlike Skiller who only does fast phtk tshk churrrr kptsfhkcwskpsoskskshssh bulshit stuff, that lacks style, depth and variety. Being beatbox champion doesn't mean you have to be the fastest in one style - Drum 'N Bass, break beats and so on. This guy is a legend with a reason. He can do many instruments by mounth and is creative unlike some dudes who are repeatable and style limited, cause of out of reach. Rahzel is an epitome of what a real beatboxer should be.There is a reason why Bjork hired him to participate in her Medulla album. It's not enough just being fast and flashy with your mouth. You gotta be creative and talanted.
