- Hello Everyone!
It's our last week in the Dominican Republic and we're finishing up some last minute projects before we head back to The Bahamas and then back to Florida. We meet some other fellow sailors you may recognize, Sailing Zola, and head back to the 27 Waterfalls to try out a more difficult waterfall course and have a blast!! We had a fun local group during the hike and it was a great time. Stay tuned for next week when we sail back the The Bahamas and some crazy stuff goes down...

Cool! It's Thursday! Time for maintenance on your boat's engine! Both of you ladies have good mechanical smarts so shouldn't be a problem.
Looks like a well-stocked market in the DR there, plenty of good grinds for later! Wasn't aware of propane usage there, learn something new all the time.
Oops, keys got locked in the rental car? Argh! Glad you all got out for yet another adventure, that's what it's all about!

Someday just like yoga paints thongs will fall into the hands of the morbidly obese then I will tend to agree with you. There is nothing prettier than a soft curves of a woman, it has nothing to do with lust so everything isn't dirty unless you choose to make it.

Beautiful out there. The people are so friendly. I used to sail all over the Atlantic, Caribbean and Indian Ocean aboard 2 bad ass aircraft carriers, jfk CV-67 and Dwight D Eisenhower CVN-69 . 😆 Be safe always, Dan
Another groovy sailing adventure from the Far Side. Cool you hooked up with Banner and Nelly; fun young people. They could properly use some world sailing help from you two experienced sailors.

In my opinion a pump out is ok now and again but they cant get to the sludge that can collect in the sump, cheers.
You're supposed to clean it with flushing oil.

Safe travels
Ladies if the oil dipstick tube goes all the way to the bottom of the pan you can use it as your suction tube instead of the thin plastic. Will speed up the suction considerably.

@@SailingTheFarSide Not sure the destination really matters as long as you enjoy the journey.
You can get a 12 volt oil pump extractor or one that is powered by a drill motor. Amazon has a selection, much easier then the manual pump. Keep your oil clean and stay with the Rotella oil for the greatest longevity.
You can mix oil from different vendors as long as the API ratings are the same. Of course any engine oil in an emergency.
You 2 rock, but time for a new intro
I have one of those and once a vacuum is created it just continues to suck out the oil. No additional pumping required.

OKI know this is an old video but just in case you read this they make little pumps like that you can buy them off a eBay and they work off a 12 V instead of all that hand Pumping

One thing I would definitely NOT recommend is for you all to be sitting in the Car while it is being filled up with Propane.
I was a Firefighter many years ago and I still to this day even when filling the car up with Petrol make sure NOBODY is sitting in that Car.
I have seen what can happen when Fuel fires start from Petrol and Diesel and LPG ( propane ) and by far LPG is the quickest when something goes wrong.
Just a heads up on your Safety really as would hate myself for not warning you and I wouldn’t want anything to happen to any of you beautiful young women ( Fire ain’t pretty in enclosed spaces ! ).

Yah we thought it was odd, fueling with propane, how safe could that be. We couldn't get out of the car though...

Never understand why somebody thinks , when they have a diesel motor, and they have to get rid of their old oil .....all you have to do with your old oil is stran it through filters and put it in your fuel tank.... I mean one gallon of oil strains through a filter in your tank of 30 gallons of diesel fuel will never notice at all it will just burn with the fuel

From my dad “I did dump the old oil from Far Side it the fuel tank for awhile. But the oil would clog up the fuel filters. Never had much luck with that.”
@@SailingTheFarSide Coffee filters 2 coffee filters you poured a fuel through that or the oil through that before it goes to your fuel tag it makes intrivable filters for getting this slug out of the oil too and can't be recycled without all that garbage in it if you just pour straight into your full fuel tank you're gonna have garbage If you filter it 1st it will work
