I was born in 72 so I’ve been fortunate enough to witness the Habs win some cups. The ones I remember best are 86 and 93 of course. This is the best brand of hockey they’ve played since the 93 playoffs by far, every line is contributing. Enjoy it my friend and let’s hope they win 4 more games!

Back in ‘17 my dad fulfilled a longtime dream to see our beloved Kings face the Habs in Montreal. He was so impressed by not only the class and hospitality of the Hab fans but also the respect shown for “The Star Spangled Banner” and the gusto and passion displayed for “O Canada.” Even through you broke our hearts in ‘93 we are definitely rooting for Les Canadiens. I remember this feeling in 07 for my ducks, since then they haven’t been able to make a consistent run to the cup, I went to Montreal in 2016 for a Gm against the flyers, the fans were so kind to me, truly the best fans in the world are Canadians, on top of that I’ve never said so many banners in one building. I have adopted the habs as my backup team since then

After having the deadliest 1st wave in Canada, after being the only province to have a curfew that lasted months, we deserved this… on la St-Jean Baptiste to top it off. My throat hurts right now, so happy!!!!
As a life long Habs fan, I vividly remember 86 and 93, and if I'm honest, I took it for granted that Mtl. would always be in the mix and I never imagined how wrong I could be. The serendipity of success in these playoffs is unprecedented. I had no expectations and my highest hope was for the Habs to play well enough to be competitive and not get embarrassed. Win or lose, I cannot be disappointed, because this team to man, has played hard every minute, and Carey Price has a well deserved chance to win a Cup. I'm humbled and very appreciative of the well wishes and support I'm seeing from fans of other teams. That, more than anything else, tells me how special these playoffs are.

This MTL team was outskilled by every team they faced. But this kind of hard work and courage cannot be stop by talent alone.

So. The Red Wings have 11 cups and the Maple Leafs have 13. The Leafs won all of their cups before 1967 (and during 1967) so too bad for them. The Red Wings won 4 times after 1967.
So if we put two and two together, we can see that the Montreal Canadians won more cups after 1967 than any other team and won more cups before 1967 than any other team. So yeah. A shitload of cups. Even if we removed everything that happened before 1967, Montreal would still be the franchise with the most stanley cup wins to this day.

As a Leafs fan, it was a pretty devastating series loss to Montreal and I was pretty salty after. This Montreal team has won me over though and I've put the rivalry aside. Caufield is a talented kid. They're showing how to play playoff hockey. Impressive stuff. Montreal vs. Tampa would be so gross but Islanders are a solid team as well. Can't believe I'm saying this but Go Montreal! Get that Cup

@@SamGautreau7 MTL is still the worst team left. Just got hot at the right time. No hate just a fact, on paper they're horrible. People would be dumb to pick MTL in any match-up.

2018: The cinderella story foiled by Ovie's shining moment
2019: A legendary choke job against the Sharks. 3-1 series lead blown. 4 PP goals against in a 5 minute powerplay in Game 7.
2020: The Canucks and Demko slowly destroys the confidence of Vegas, almost choking 3-1 lead AGAIN. Then the Stars feasted on the easy prey, reminding them of another hot goaltender
2021: Carey Price steals the show. Defensive game leaving Vegas players frustrated and angry with themselves. Suffers another series clinching OT dagger.
I've never had a single team I cheer for but I always cheer for the team(s) that have players. After the regular season I can't say I was really that impressed with the Habs and didn't think they'd even get far in the playoffs but after watching them play in the playoffs you just can't help but love them. Every single guy gives their all every single night, they play for the team with a heart I don't think anybody else has shown this post season. I really hope this is your year, Allez Montreal!
