I visit The Met and MoMA periodically just to view the Pollocks. Upon first gaze, they physically and literally take my breath away. They are, after all, Jackson Pollocks. Your Performance Art was brilliant and beautifully done.
Of course, no one paints the Pollock did. And he broke the mold about paint applied to canvas. It was a happy accident and yes, there was balance but there were some “splotchy” concentrations sometimes. What I never understood about Pollocks was why the colors were relatively neutral and to my eye boring. But his genius was breaking the mold for abstract are. In the same way, many artists paint in impressionistic style, only Monet paints Monet, only Renoir paints Renoir, but millions paint in the French Impressionistic style. I think it’s wonderful we get to use his technique while still being uniquely ourselves. And this artist - the Pollock shoes were brilliant. I may copy:)
So the short answer is no, you couldn't. Pollock's paintings had even coverage all the way across the work, and there were no "clumps" of colour the way you have on the right-hand side, or relative bald spots like on the left end (except for another isolated clump of black at the bottom). There was a rhythmic aspect you didn't capture. For example, the white spatters you have on the top layer are not placed in a balanced way - you've got a bunch of those in almost in a line a third of the way across the painting from the left. Pollock didn't cluster the elements like that.
I was very impressed with your final product. I use a similar approach with paint sticks, but I definitely like the way you layered it. All the best, Coty

TrixM oh shit the fuck up 😂😂😂😂😂
Wow you're a blast at parties I bet.
idk looks the same to me
Trix is right. It’s these subtle differences that make a genuine Pollock a Pollock.
To the question of “ Can you paint like Pollack?”, the answer is Yes.
“Can you paint a Jackson Pollack?” The answer is No.
Sorry Man Bun. You are no Jackson Pollock. Dont quit your day job.
It's the conception!

Love it! What kind of paint were you using and what were the dimensions? Really awesome job, loved the video.
Pollock paint with his soul, you are copy the technic. But you don't can copy his soul, so all here is only an ilusion.
DOPE!!!!!
Why are you touching
Diga qual a medida
🤴🏾 I made my own version of a Pollock. I don't have millions of disposable income for one
the takeaway should be that anyone can make anything
its not a good metric for judging art
No specific metaphors.
Artist never cares about scraping all his clothes or shoes! lol
In this day and age, you can identify as Jackson. So, yes. Anyone can do one of his "paintings". Smh.
Anyone can do that
That is the question at hand. Thanks for watching!
