This found-footage film was made for Chrome by the late, great Ian L. Turner, my partner in Old Straight Track Studios. Wonderful to see it again after all these years. He also made the film for Meet You In the Subway, also here on UA-cam. Enjoy!
Thanks for the info. Love the Inworlds EP and this video is fantastic. I first saw Chrome's videos 30 years ago, but there was so little information back then behind who made things or how it all was put together. Everything Chrome was shrouded in mystery back then. Such a phenomenal band. I'd like to see other work by Mr. Turner, if available.
Man, this is crazy. I had JUST got my drivers license and was in my teens when Chrome got on my radar via KDVS at UC Davis. A friend named Mike, Geeze-Louise, 1982 got the recording of Dangerzone got on my radar. Helios needed some gear that I was able to help with. I remember driving and hanging with Helios in S.F. and drinking under age at a bar in the Height. What I can remember of this anyways. Glad to see this video AND song on UA-cam. Before MTV when the movement was RAW. AWESOME!
Nice! Sounds like you got the original Subterranean Records edition box-set. Take real good care of that. I paid $50.00 for mine during the 90's. I used to have some of those same recordings released as individual Dossier Records, GMBH editions back in the 80's. But, unfortumately I really had to sell them, as I had needed the money at the time. I do not know off hand exactly which editions are rarest, nowadays. Back then during the late 80's, the box-set edition was the rarest and therefore the most collectible of the two editions. However, I would imagine that it is probably the other way around nowadays, with the German import editions now gradually becoming the rarest and most collectible editions, probably simply on account of the rather exquisite Dada-ist collage cover art, squarely framed by a simple and plain white backdrop. I just loved the fine and sleak lustre and european aesthetic design and layout on those (some pressed in clear, clear red or clear yellow vinyl). It was as though you were getting a whole series of individual chapters as in a larger and more voluminous body of work.
David Moon: You are a fortunate fellow. That box set was in my vinyl collection until 2004, and I finally sold it ( an offer I couldn't refuse ) so, take good care of it. I got mine back in '84. Nobody else sounds like Chrome. Totally unique, though many have tried to copy them. RIP Damon.
i never thought chrome would have videos! Hail youtube! I wonder if the Ramones were fans. They have a song called danger zone that came out years later on Mondo Bizarro that sounds different but has the same words in the chorus.

Creed really developped his own style and sound. Great song and one of my favorite in that era.

I've always wondered that as well. I know that Damon, at least, was a Ramones fan.
Thank you,Helios.
Creed back then had non-pumped up guitar sound which is great, later on he tried to make more aggressive sound which is bad.
This is the song that introduced me to Chrome and Helios Creed. Still a classic, and one of my fav.
Argh ! It is made out of this world, definitely
Hey, Lana. LANA! LAAAANAAAA!!!!!!

The dangerzone xelont
Chrome always reminds me of a cross between John Foxx’s “Metamatic” album and The Normal’s “TV OD/Warm Leatherette” single!
