- You guys remember when Aphmau made roleplays? Yeah me neither.
Dreams of Estorra was so cool when it first came out! I wish it lasted longer and could've been one of the main series alonside Mystreet and Minecraft Diaries.

I think Jess lost motivation for this series because a LOT of people were comparing it to Sword Art Online :[
That could be a reason. But I think it was mainly because her team were the one's making these episodes at around episode 8? I could be wrong though. Thanks for watching the video!
I wish people would stop comparing media like those people were doing. Like yes they are similar themes, but she has her own point of view and the fact that the NPC were actually AI or actual human was an AMAZING twist on her part. Thats why I loved this series so much and seeing the downfall made me so sad.

To be very honest, my inner demons was my personal all time favorite. The plot, characters, humor was amazing. It's sad that it probably won't be touched on again, and it was left on a hug cliff-hanger.
Something stuck in my head all these years later is Ava threatening the Daemos Gang with the power of “Cray-O-La” I think it was mainly the way she said it but man I was so excited to see where they would take Season 2.
Oh and Lorelai was a darling.
Honestly, lots of people say MID was their favourite, ofc ur opinion, but I don’t know how you like it more than such amazing series’s like mcd and MS
@@Snowleaf______________________ I think it's part nostalgia since it was basically the last role play she did and we never got season 2. It had fun new characters that were interesting and what felt like real stakes. Part of it might be just that slicer of hope that MID season 2 would bring the rps back.
I think there was even a season two planned but it was never brought on or anything it was just left and abandoned
I’m gonna probably get a lot of heat for saying this but the gacha Community is kind of starting to feel that fantasy ask five that I’ve been missing like there’s a series called the element protectors for example that you should really check out it’s like that fantasy ask about that I’ve been missing from ahp and self Because the jokes are really funny the characters extremely well written and also my favourite character in the whole series phoenix flare who am I opinion is the most well written character in the whole series because her backstory is very disturbing and also her character development is undeniable because like when I first started out with a series I always thought that the character of Phoenix was just going to be the typical mean girl but now they expand upon her character and now she’s starting to be one of my favourites
DoE was the only roleplay other than MCD that I could binge watch and fully enjoy without wanting to skip to a different part
It deserved better :(
Jess seems to make really strong story beginnings before slowly moving on too soon
My understanding, Aphmau Fantasy was managed by Max and Will after Jess couldn't find the time to manage those RPs, because MyStreet became a much larger project. So she assigned those two to manage the channel, the RPs, everything. However, I think because MyStreet was still becoming an even bigger project, Max and Will had to change priorities to help with that RP instead, so the time and effort to make these RPs wasn't a thing, so I can see them trying to make filler episodes to at least keep the RP alive.
However, after the Blu Jay Studios drama, with Max quitting, and everyone else being laid off. DoE lost it's main cast VA's with Kristina (Rune), Will (Braxton) and Castor (Owen).
DoE was such an amazing RP and it was truly going somewhere. I'm just sad it died off the way it did. But with nobody to manage it anymore, it was going to happen sadly. I'm also upset that she privated the videos and rebranded the channel, it feels like she wanted to hide those RPs, but those RPs also deserve attention.

That actually makes sense. Will did a lot of animation work, seen in swords, creatures/animals, and ears+tails. Max and Ross are big Runescape fans. I assume that most people involved are familiar with "chose your own adventure" type of game. With the whole voice actors leaving was more or less was a finishing blow.
@@ShinoriDelfrim A few years ago, Bluejay Studios was just a general bad working environment with the treatment of its staff. Practically all the people involved with the production got fired after talking about the situation, and some others left or just weren’t contacted at all (which is around the time usually prominent characters who appeared in the roleplay stories and mini game videos suddenly disappeared like Dottie and Rune who were voiced by Kristina, Daniel who was voiced by Ross, Castor, Will who did a bunch of the models and animations, other concept artists, etc.). There was a lot that went down, but you can hardly find those tweets of back then because they were deleted over fear of being sued by Bluejay(?) for talking about their treatment.
If Aphmau does have the resources to do two channel again, I feel like her plan going into it should be keeping the content on the main channel the same to keep view up and she loves what she is doing there, but she should make her Aphmau stories the more serious story telling bc that is what she loved to do and maybe still does (I have no idea). This way she has two channel that cover two different age ranges. Minecraft Diaries, Mystreet, and Dreams of Estorra would be the main focus on the stories channel.
Honestly, the orphan reveal should have been shown as the character breaking down from the pressure of being on her own. Seems like it’d be more emotional like that

I really liked that old roleplay Aphmau made called "Minecraft Diaries"...but unfortunally it ended with a cliff-hanger , and after that she tried to remade the series...but it ended must earlier than the original.
It always depressed me when I saw a new episode and it didn't progress really anything then seemingly got dropped
id really love to hear your thoughts on mcd as a whole and the downfall of it! season 1 was fantastic and season 2 was.. okay? i still to this day feel like aaron completely changed the story in a negative way
Im glad I'm not the only one who thinks Aaron was the downfall of Mcd don't get me wrongs its amazing but Aaron really had no reason to be in the story he probably would of worked if he put into the story earlier for example maybe being a travel buddy with Dante but still being mysterious or just not have Aaron be in the series at all they had this whole hype for garmau or laurmau but just made a switch for no reason if she wanted Jason to voice a character he could of voice Garroth or Laurance so the story made sense
@@erickacruz5882 The thing was that he was introduced into the party at a nice point (shortly after Dante became a part of their crew). He just never interacted with anyone until like a third into s2, which was likely why it felt like there was hardly much substance. And when we did go into and explore his character, he only interacted with Aphmau (who was essentially a proxy for his dead wife) and Lilith (who was also basically a replacement for his dead son). He’d make small quips here and there when other characters would talk, but never actually bonded or tried to talk to the others other than the Aphmau, as well as he didn’t really,,, get involved in the plot in general. In my me,pries, I think he only actually got involved in the plot when he became a love interest (which was horrible timing wise since their relationship revelation in general was a shock even to the few shippers at the time via her sudden pregnancy). The plot changed from a lore based story with Aaron as his own character, to gradually a story shifting to Aphmau’s relationship with Aaron and how that impacted (and changed) the lore.
Thank you for this. I really loved this series almost as much as much older Aphmau series, and someone going over it made me so happy. Thank you much love
I dont know if you know or have done a review on this series yet, but if you have time I totally recommend doing a review of my inner demons by Aphmau. I loved the series and it ended in a cliffhanger due to covid.

I think I get what happens when you die in-game. No matter what, once you die you can no longer play the game for 5 years. I haven't watched the series in forever but I do remember that this is what I guessed/put together of what would happen. Either that or I mixed it up with some other game or memory

@@WriteItOut DoE was definitely my favorite thing I worked on during my time there so I'm really glad to see people still giving it love after all these years. Once in a while I go watch it again haha.
There's a lot of love for this series and everyone still talks about how amazing it was and there's plenty of others who are taking massive inspiration from it and making their own story.
I'm glad you remember it fondly and still go back to revisit it. That's makes people like me very happy.

Oh my god, this seems so cool. I'm so sad something this dope failed. Its like vr mixed with skyrim mixed with your typical 8-bit rpg. And those loading screens of each character are so good, I love Owen's in particular, I just like marksmans
Ha, I remember coming home from school in 6th grade and being so excited to get to watch the new episode of Dreams of Estorra, but my mom said I had to finish my homework first, and I was genuinely so upset
I remember when it first came out, my biggest reason for not watching it was because I didn't like that it wasn't 'real' fantasy like MCD.
I was a dumb kid.
Honestly I loved DoE and just now figured out that it came back. I'm kind of happy I stopped watching once the hiatus started because it left me thinking about how much I loved the first episodes. If you haven't already, I would love to see a video on My Inner Demons!

Yeah requiring her stories to always have an edgy Aaron character kinda held her back. Aphmau would change just have the same name story to story but Aaron would always stay Aaron. Not having Aaron was why my inner demons was so good imo.

Loved her roleplays, wasnt really apart of my childhood but I really enjoyed them, however when she stopped and started making... APHMAU IS PREGNANT IN MINECRAFT, I just stopped my support for her. She and other youtubers have gone down "the deep end" where all they do is try to follow the algorithm and create nothing but fast paced cringe content thats also clickbait.

Hello, just a fool but, am I the only one who's getting Sword Art Online vibes? The concept of the story arc given here has really shown some element that might've been inspired from SAO. Though, just like SAO... Some arcs within the story gets weaker... Though some seasons of SAO were improving!
SAO and DoE have really similar premises, and in both shows if you only watched the first 6 episodes you would think they were really good. But I think that's where the similarities end.

To me it was really bad. I did not like it at all. It wasn't written very well in my opinion
