good video review .Trompe l'oeil and Onsu have good houses, I recommend Apple fall and Scarlet Creative , another store called Varonis since I consider that they have the best SL skybox. But everything is a question of taste :)
Hey, I love Apple Fall for many of my Second Life decorations. I haven't heard of Scarlet Creative or Varonis, so I will definitely check them out. But I totally agree, everyone has different tastes!
Yes, those are good creators. I have many houses from them. I prefer light li and good texture houses what i can mod myself. IF you dont play family rpg in SL you actually dont need very big house/skybox and usually those are with very high li too so you need lot of prims on your land to decorate them and surrounding nicely. What kind house to get is up to your SL needs, for what you want use it. IF you just use it for changing and sometimes spending some time with friends then it is best to have simple house with just few or one big room. Bigger rooms with higher ceilings are good for camming and doesnt throw your cam thru walls. But at end - people have different tastes and needs and in SL there is house for everyone....and if you cant find one - you can build one itself.
Hey! I totally agree with you, sometimes I fancy a big mansion and other times I like decorating smaller homes to make feel more cozy and homely. And you’re so right, the best part of SL is you can buy or build whatever you fancy at any time!

You can pronounce #2 "Trompe Loy" and it still won't be exactly right, but much closer to the way it's said in French.
Can you show us some SL home stores that are higher in price as well as quality. Maybe some beach homes or traditional mansions

Hey! You should just be able to left click on the box and click 'Rez' - Hopefully you have already managed to get it sorted :)
With roost homes I have to put down an invisible prim to rezz things. Does anyone else have that problem?
Hey Shelly - Oh no, I can't say I have that problem! Could it be the land you are placing it on, or has it happened at multiple places? Sometimes second life can be a pain for rezzing objects!
@@castillogaming2691 it's only with roost homes! I moved and it's the same problem. I have many other homes by various creators and I've never had any problem, ever!!!! What can I do?
@@shellylafata-davis1272 I'd try dropping them a message on SL and see if they can suggest anything (they may even send you the homes again). When I have rezz issues, I just drag the stuff onto other furniture to rezz rather than the floor and then move it! Not ideal, but it normally works :)
@@castillogaming2691 I contacted Roost. They told me to rezz an invisible prim etc.
I think for what I pay for these houses I shouldn't have to do anything special to them. What do you think I should do?

Hey Truth. There are a few options!
The first is to upgrade your account to premium for $9.99/month or $99 for the year. With this, you can get a 1024sqm land for the year, and $300L a week for the entire year!
The other option is to rent some land privately. You can either search inworld for land (e.g. land for rent $300/$400/$500 per week) or head to ths website for an estate agent I have used before: www.anshex.com/ - where on the left hand side it gives you the option to filter the land by price.

Or you can rent a homestead land anywhere per week. This is the option that most ppl chose to go with bc it’s cheaper and you can get more land to rezz your house for more prims.
This posting should be titles Affordable starter homes bc there are way better home creators on SECONDLIFE. However these are great one stop shop locations to grab a well done affordable home.
so basically when i buy it its my house? i dont have to pay linden every week for it?

It is very true there are many very beautiful homes in SL. Sadly for me 99% of them I can not use/live in because there is so much camera clipping that a single walk through leaves me feeling nauseated and a bit dizzy. Most I have to flee out as quickly as possible because of this clipping. The clipping is caused because the walls are too close together, the ceilings are too low and the rooms are far too small. Fortunately I have never experienced this with any of the Kaya Angel homes and a couple of the Unsu homes. The Hollywood House and the Monterey Skybox and Eggplant Skybox are perfect for me. The skyboxes are resizable and I always stretch them to their max level which makes large rooms into palace size rooms. Yes it adds to the prim count but I'm willing to make that sacrifice in order to have a home I can comfortably live in. My current home is the Monterey Skybox sized to it's max level and it feels more like a modest size mansion with very large rooms.
