Man you should be a teacher. The way you explained everything is phenomenal. Great work and thank you.I will be giving you a lot of subscribers. This is the type of video I was looking for.
Excellent video. Thank you. QUESTION: Since the transfer of the property must be done in the local Turkish currency, would it be okay if someone uses REMITLY to send money from Canada/US to Turkey? Once the money is transferred, it will be picked up in Turkey in the local Turkish currency, which can then be deposited into the Turkish bank account. The reason why I am asking is that REMITLY offers extremely competitive exchange rates, while banks usually charge a lot of money in fees to exchange currency from dollars to liras. Thank you for your reply.
Good question, you can transfer it in USD/EUR/GBP from your account to your Turkish account which can also have these foreign currencies open. This way you won't lose out on exchange fees. Then when you're ready to purchase you can exchange the funds from foreign currency to TL right before you make the purchase.
Dear Sir, Please refer to the above-mentioned subject I need to check that there is no loan or no outstanding dues or no mortgage against my property which I purchased recently in Yalova, Turkey. So, you are kindly requested to advise me that how can I check all these issues and oblige. Regards
Great video very informative. I was wondering if you had ever done a video about the homeschool process in Turkey? I thought it wasn’t allowed but if you have more info that would be great!
Thank you very much for the video, there's lots of useful info property buyers need to know. I was wondering if a deposit is paid after property appraisal? Thank you!
You can arrange it to be paid after also, but better to reserve the property with a deposit on condition of appraisal going through in your favor. This way you get your deposit back if anything comes out in appraisal which you didn't expect. If you don't reserve the property there is risk someone will pick it up before you, while waiting on appraisal. If you're willing to take that risk then no issues, get the appraisal before any deposit is also possible.
really helpful materials, thanks so much. I have one question regarding to the money, if I already have money in lira in my turkish bank account, which means I dont need to exchange foreign currency to lira, how do I obtain this exchange certificate from the bank?
How did you get the TL in your account? You'll have to show some info regarding that and it becomes more of an exception. Will have to discuss this seperately offline. Please message me wa.me/+905369565130

When in doubt I'd advise you to use the taputakas system to be honest. If they are your lawyers they should assist you with using this system. It's rare for locals to use it but foreigners are using it when they want to feel more secure.

If someone is looking to get a tax number to set up a bank account to save money to buy a property in Turkey but hasn’t decided where he wants to buy the property, what should he do first? My understanding is that you have to get the tax number from the area you plan to live in. Thank you
Not necessary, from anywhere is fine. You'll need to get tax number and bank account also. It is difficult now to get on your own the bank account - better to contact an established firm (like us) to get help on this.
There is a very small percentage of foreigners buying property when you look at the overall Turkey numbers it is less than 3%. This number is a bit higher for Antalya about 12% and Istanbul at about 7%. So yes this will effect markets like Antalya and Istanbul, however we are seeing an overall increase across Turkey in property prices.
