- U.S. Marines and Sailors, together with Republic of Korea Marines, conduct trainings in South Korea. U.S. and ROK Marine forces are undergoing the Korean Marine Exchange Program 17-11, in order to increase interoperability and combined capabilities of the ROK and U.S. Marine Corps forces.

Korean Soldiers are so quick. More so than a lot of American troops they seem very light on their feet and far snappier. Part of me thinks we put too much time into training muscles over motor skills, and after researching Korean training I think it shows.
Everything has trade offs. Bigger stronger men can carry more rounds, heavier equipment, and subdue subjects easier in cqb. But as we saw with lone survivor, having a lot of muscle and weight will really slow you down in the face of a much more fleet of foot enemy.
US Marines carry much more and heavier equipment than the Korean Marines, the Koreans can easily Maneuver and Freely move around their designated field easily because they literally don't carry alot and are less stronger than the US Marines who has to carry more than 52 kilograms of equipment.
The Marines are usually specialized and doctrinating the tactics of taking more than just 5 bullets to the chest, in simple terms. its about drive its about power, we stay hungry we devour, put in the work put in the hours and take whats ours.
They have the M27 IAR which I consider to be a Battle Rifle (imo) you can see how much efforts of attachments they put the accessories into, even has a Bipod for Standard Riflemen capabilities lol!
High IQ helps too. We beat lol the Chinese, Japanese in the game of Go (incomparably more complex version of chess).

Their combat loads are lighter, notice how ty ty aren’t wearing sapi plates? They just carry a vest, ammo, weapon, and other mission essential equipment.

S Korean government must focus on defending itself without interference from Washington. Military alliance with the US has weaken defense for S Korea which it need its own nuclear weapons and submarines. Washington prohibit S Korea from having its own nuclear weapons and missiles weaken its own defense. This is fundamental basic need of defense for S Korea surrounded by hostile nations. It's same reason why the US is keeping nuclear weapons.

My father is a Korean war veteran, he had a young Korean national come up to him a couple weeks ago and thank him for freeing his country. It really touched him, he has so many terrible memories but always speaks very highly of the Korean people, even in the North, saying most of the average people only wanted to live their lives in peace, not partake in war against the south. He also speaks very highly of his ROK marine colleagues who were battle buddies and interpreters. He really appreciated the message of thanks, I think it helped to see a younger person who still respects and appreciates the history and outcome of that conflict.

Huge respect to our American allies. I served in the Korean army 2006 ~ 2008, and i had the privilege and honor of joint military training with US army guys. Ever so professional on the field, and yet so down to earth and chill during off time. I would gladly fight with them on the battle field

The U.S. military is not stationed in South Korea and Japan because of North Korea. They are stationed to monitor China and Russia. The United States is here for its own Profit. No one believes that they will protect. Korea is completely different from Taiwan, which is small and weak. We have already always prepared for self-defense since the 1960s. In the Vietnam War, the ROK army operated completely independently and even protected the U.S. military

USMC MARPAT perfectly melt in rough mountain terrain of Korean terrain. One of my university junior served for ROKMC landing infantry unit. During miles gear real combat training, he said USMC looked like a ghost. Ironically ROKMC tiger stripe uniform is designed to boost moral but effectiveness is not really good in our own terrain.
When i served in the korean army, i had an opportunity to meet some of the us army guys stationed here. Awesome guys. I would gladly stand next to them in the war. Thanks for your service

I can only imagine how bloody it can get if it were a real combat zone. CQB is no joke and neither is fighting out in an open field. Things can go side ways in a flash.
USMC will ignore and look down on our Marine from behind that we are poorly armed with less individual protective gears and optical devices. Not only USMC but U.S. Army soldiers also are war veterans so our troops look like a part time job workers to their owns.

Granted I haven't done a whole lot of shooting since I'm from Down Under so access to firearms is restricted, but effective are iron sights? I don't understand why nations don't just invest in weapon systems that allow EVERY member of their section or platoon to be at least armed with a basic RDS.
