The fourth leg is sleep. If you don't sleep well you will have trouble with muscle protein synthesis as this is the time when your body will release most of the human growth hormone. That's when you actually rebuild muscle mass.
I wasn't trying to lose weight at all, but when I stopped drinking alcohol I immediately ended up in calorie deficit and it happened anyway. Only swimming 3 times a week, pushing myself with some fast intervals and aiming for 1km to 1.5km per session which isn't that much, but over a period of about 3 months the 5kg of extra weight I was carrying around evaporated. All of this seems to line up with what Fares is saying. Now I have to buy new pants cos none of mine fit properly anymore. Cheers from New Zealand.
Im gaining so much strength n muscles!! Was able to do bulgarian squats afyer 2 minths of moderately consistent swimming! And yes thevscale is not changing. Its amazing. Im not up to 1k yet it knocks me out for the night when i do but the initial 500m was a challenge at firstb😂 im 44 cut me slack guys n gals
Having had back surgery, I have to stick to crawl and backstroke, and shorter times plus the only equipment that doesn't cause grievous bodily harm is the hand paddle. Such a pity I can't use flippers and buoys but such is life!
I built muscle over two years of swimming but still didn’t get very strong. Always this rubbery lactic acid buildup feeling making my muscles feel useless from the start of any workout.
I wish you would lose the background sound. The music is terribly distracting - I would much rather concentrate on what you have to say.
It's cheesy
Swimming has significantly changed my health lab numbers.

500 calories per day is a pretty big chunk. However, if you break it up into 250 burn, and 250 diet, it is far more simple to achieve.
that’s why i love swimming
Swimming is life ❤

Hey Joy I can help you out
TRUE! 👍
I swim 3 to 4 times a week for 30 mins and love it. However, if I go to gym and do only 5 min of treadmill I am exhausted. Is that normal?
