Fun fact: bubble tape also used to have a sort of controversial packaging, being that it wasn't always in its current dispenser and used to come in a tin which made it resemble a tin of chewing tobacco, putting it on par with gum cigarettes and big league chew in that manner of speaking.
Also I used to take bites out of bubble tape back in the late '80s way before the internet was ever a thing in my brain. I did so simply because it would turn that roll of tape into a bunch of normal sticks of gum, end of story.

If you're looking for long-lasting gum that retains flavor, I personally recommend Trident Vibes. For me, that gum can last for an hour or two and I somehow manage to have enough to last me one or two months, Of course, I only take about one piece a day but still.
Honestly ngl I expect to see juicy fruit gum cause I chew it every Sunday for about 1 hour and it literally devolved

Every time I see Ollie I'm always FLOORED by how incredibly literate and well-spoken he is. He genuinely speaks with better articulation and vocabulary at 5 than my brother did at 12.
Edit: Sorry to my brother lol, he was just a late bloomer to talking and still has slightly slurred speech (I think it comes from my parents being immigrants). But he has plenty of vocabulary for sure!... as long as you're talking to him about Roblox and Pokemon.

Random fact related to 15:48, the sugar substitute xylitol is toxic to dogs and can even be fatal to them. Some peanut butters, an oft recommended dog treat, can have xylitol in them. So, check the packaging before sharing with your beloved doggy best friend!
I support everyone who’ll make sure this info gets out. Let me add the bit that you a good amount of American milk(baker’s chocolate is more potent) chocolate to even hurt a big dog, but the equivalent is a small pack of sugar free gum.
The sad stories I’ve heard of dogs sneaking into purses/candy bags and eating just enough sugar free gum to die hurts me. Or the kind people who just wanted to buy healthier food for their puppies just to lose them.

Coming back to this video after a stick of Trident Spearmint lasted for over 20 minutes. I couldn't remember if it was tested.
Turns out, there's a technique to savoring the flavor just like there is with bubble blowing.
If you wanna make your flavor last a while longer, like double or more the amount of time seen here, focus on just relaxing when you chew, don't over chew, and keep your gum in your mouth, the denser your gum is in your mouth, like in a little ball, the less surface area it has for the flavor to be dissolved, leading to a longer lasting experience, with a more mild flavor, taking it slower will both dull some of those intense spearmint flavors as well extend the lifespan of your gum, while you can actually use similar technique to bubble blowing: Flatten out and spread the gum on the inside of your mouth, for a more intense chew and to really wring out all the flavor and life from each piece as the flavor starts to dull.
Thicker = Longer less intense chew, that's not for blowing bubbles.
Thinner = Shorter more intense chew perfect for bubble blowing.
In hindsight, the one critique I have with this experiment is that it was done in one sitting, with no consistent chewing technique decided on beforehand.
Shorter times could've just been due to more bubble blowing rather than actual thorough testing.

I love the idea of Ollie running the channel when he’s older. I will miss you MatPat but this video showed me the better reason that you quit, to spend time with this future food theorist.
i do think this is actually important. when dealing with retirement like this the important and wholesome reasons for doing so needs to be shown not told. as much as protecting the kid from us is also important, getting us on board with this will be pivotal to us accepting santi and the others.
