    The shadow changes from soft to hard at 1:27 when you switch from Ambient occlusion to Scene lighting under Lighting scheme > Lighting method. However, this setting does not work unless you check On and Manual control under Sun Options and then adjust the Altitude under Sun Position. I do like the way this Display Mode looks though when the scene is fully set up!

    Hi RhiNoSerious-ly, by any chance you could provide an update for Rhino8 as well. This works really well on 6 and 7. Thanks

    Hello! Great video. It got my model a way better look. The only thing I didn't get is how you made such a sharp nice lying shadow on the ground

      hello❤️
      i used it many times and the shadows were straight and sharp, but last time i used it i found the shadows a bit zigzages..still sharp, but the ines tilted were zigzagged. idk why tbh. but if that isn’t the same case for you then maybe recheck on all the shadow settings in the video maybe something in the settings got changed?

      @CollegeContent  Рік тому

      also in the google drive link for the views you will find a view called “white and lines shaded” i believe..try that one. it drops shadows on its own. i hope it works

    Do you think sketchup is much more intuitive, faster, easier to use, more practical than Rhino for architecture? thanks

    • @CollegeContent
      @CollegeContent  Рік тому

      I believe sketchup is so if you use it enough to be used to it and can reach the forms you need through it. But modeling using rhino can be fast as well. And it’s not hard at all.
      If you use it through one project it’s enough to get better at it, I only learnt rhino from less than a year and though i’m not familiar with all the tools i don’t find that interrupting, any command or tool you need can be found and understood easily from youtube tutorials in my opinion. I didn’t give sketchup much if a chance cuz once i learnt rhino i focused on it, cuz anyway rhino can bare much larger files. And for architecture specifically, as in the need for sections and plans, clipping planes are wonderful. I’ll also make a tutorial on editing the view for clipping planes.
      If my reply wasn’t helpful tell me I’ll reply again.❤️

    Thank you very much! One question, why is it that sometimes the shadow appears on the ground and sometimes it doesn't? Another question, sometimes when I zoom in on the object, the shadow outline appears pixelated not as a straight line.... does anyone know why?

    • @CollegeContent
      @CollegeContent  7 місяців тому

      Hi❤️
      Make sure that the ground plane settings 1:00 have both “on” and “shadow only” ticked on
      For the shadow neatness it depends on how big the file is, unfortunately i found no solution to this yet, but if your file is big (big model or wide area is used) the shadows get zigzaggy…
      but keep alert for a new video that has a new way to make shadows neater than this method
