  • This video is about the band that runs up from the big toe to the back of the head, similar to the bladder meridian called the big toe sacrum band in Raynor massage therapy.
    The concept of "Raynor bands of tension" is a central aspect of the Raynor Massage technique developed by Australian naturopath Brandon Raynor. These bands of tension refer to areas of deep-seated tension and restriction within the body's muscles and connective tissues. Understanding and addressing these bands of tension is key to the Raynor Massage approach to releasing physical and emotional blockages and promoting overall well-being.
    Identification and Palpation: Raynor practitioners are trained to identify bands of tension through palpation and observation during massage sessions. These bands often present as areas of tightness, tenderness, or adhesions within the muscles and soft tissues. By palpating the body with their hands, practitioners can locate these bands and assess their severity and extent.
    Roots in Physical and Emotional Trauma: Raynor bands of tension are believed to originate from physical and emotional trauma stored within the body. Chronic stress, repetitive movements, injuries, and unresolved emotions can all contribute to the formation of these tension bands. Over time, these bands can become deeply ingrained in the muscles and tissues, leading to pain, discomfort, and restricted movement.
    Release Techniques: Raynor Massage employs a variety of techniques to release bands of tension and promote healing. These techniques include deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, acupressure, and stretching. By applying targeted pressure and manipulation to the affected areas, practitioners work to break up adhesions, release tension, and restore balance to the body's musculoskeletal system.
    Holistic Approach: Raynor Massage takes a holistic approach to addressing bands of tension, recognizing the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, and energetic aspects of well-being. Practitioners aim to not only release physical tension but also to facilitate the release of stored emotions and trauma from the body. This holistic approach promotes overall healing and well-being on multiple levels.
    Emotional Releases: Bands of tension are often associated with stored emotions and trauma within the body. As tension is released during a Raynor Massage session, clients may experience emotional releases, including feelings of catharsis, relief, or release. This process allows individuals to let go of pent-up emotions and move towards emotional healing and resolution.
    Long-Term Benefits: Addressing bands of tension through Raynor Massage can lead to long-term benefits for physical and emotional well-being. By releasing tension and restoring balance to the body, individuals may experience reduced pain, improved mobility, enhanced emotional resilience, and a greater sense of overall vitality and wellness.
    In summary, Raynor bands of tension are areas of deep-seated tension and restriction within the body's muscles and connective tissues. Understanding and addressing these tension bands are central to the Raynor Massage approach, which aims to release physical and emotional blockages and promote holistic healing and well-being. Through targeted techniques and a holistic approach, Raynor Massage practitioners work to release tension, restore balance, and facilitate emotional healing within the body.

    What are these bands? Muscle? Nerve? Is it like meridians?

    • @brandonraynor
      @brandonraynor  5 років тому

      Samantha Drennan They are muscle and tendons mostly. Similar to meridians but you can feel them physically. Some parts of meridians I can’t feel

    do u have to do bands every single time?

    • @brandonraynor
      @brandonraynor  7 років тому +2

      You don't have to, but that's where 95% of residual tension exists in the human body so it makes sense to and working it out from the roots is very important. see www.raynormassage.com for more details.
