Small systems, small problems, stuff like this was my playground, now everything is automated and ultra advanced, we will see more changes as years go by, great video.
I buy brass caps and plugs in bulk and put them on anything I touch, including all manifolds, probes, hoses, micron gauges core remover tools and core depressors
Cooler or freezer? I mean r422b will straight drop on top of r22 “allegedly” 🤔 134 is fine if it’s a cooler but I don’t like it at all for freezers. It’s very inefficient at such low pressures.
Medium temp , i bought condensing unit and txv but got powerhead for 134a had r22 originally wasent shure which one to use so many replacements ,got another hobart medium temp when down friday i will try 422b
I’ve seen 422b literally drop right on top of r22 in low and medium temp systems without a hiccup. Others may tell a different story. Of course best practice is never to pic refrigerants for any reason. 😉
Is the cap tube blocked? Why is it down in the first place If it’s just gas - 422b to the rescue I wound change to the 134 system if you just need a charge
Sorry for the delayed response…. True talk I don’t. It’s definitely not an arbitrary poundage cu systems are all so different. I know from Chris @hvacrvideos the correct thing to do is to use the thermal to see the liquid level inside your receiver and fill it to 3/4. I clear the sight glass, give it time to stabilize and call it a wrap.
I have a few inside guys for the restaurants we own. A great training playground, and I’m about to start an intense training with another exclusively outside tech. I have a very unique approach with other owners and finding the right personality is hard hard.
Great job as always 😊

Excellent video thanks joe 👍
you have a loose screw on the black phase in the disconnect box.
That’s what’s amazing about you all!!! 👀
I was gona say that screw hanging out like that is waiting for trouble to happen
I didn’t even notice it.. I’m gonna blame snow blindness 🫣
Saw that too, just hangin' out there.... lol
Anytime system commissioned or refilled, reciever marked with 75% fill weight.
I was shook to when you tested the low pressure and appreciate your videos
Yeah ghost voltage coming back thru the windings. I should’ve known better when it was only 120 😮
Another great video 👍👍👍
6 thumbs up

On older hobart reach in r22 cap tube wats a refrigerant replacement? Or do 134a wit txv and new condensing unit wit diffrent oil??

Thanks much appreciated learn alot everyday is a learing day Do u recomend running that 422d power head instead of the 134a med temp ?

Whats your rule of numb after the sight glass clears on systems with a receiver/drier? Another two pounds? Thanks!

Jeez your company doesn’t have any other techs to send out ?
That’s a work in progress…. My company is of my creation
