I was thinking the same thing. Hopefully, schools will consider outdoor working spaces for students after the pandemic is over. I always enjoyed taking my students outside to read.
I like the way the state of California is not afraid of giving life to innovation. The proximity with nature is all we need to feel not complexed and the designs are not claustrophobic at all and pretty cool :) In France this looks like a dream ! We couldn't imagine our workplaces like this

My city has 0 coworking spaces, and it makes me so upset. My office was like a mini google so i miss it so much. I love to go sit at libraries, get private study rooms, or sit outside (at a park, campus courtyard, or even my backporch of my house). Its SO important to get a change of scenery in order to stay productive and motivated.
Shelby, I've been subscribed to your channel for a few months now but this video is thee one that made me want to comment. You do outstanding high quality work editing, retakes etc. in producing like someone commented below- it's obvious to see how much you care about your content and quality by viewing the finished product. I'm really new to coworking and find it quite beneficial up here in Ventura, CA. So keep up the great work that you're doing and I look forward to watching your next videos.
Super cool and definitely the best coworking space out there. Love the natural light and all the plants. It truly make you feel like you're in a tropical paradise than in the middle of Hollywood. Great video as always Shelby!
Yo Shelby, I like the affiliate links down in the description, but what I miss is a webull referral link for viewers outside the US or stake for viewers in New Zealand or Australia. Just my 2 cents
Please don’t ever compromise and allow anyone but you to edit your videos on this channel. This video is super well done! The place is beautiful, but the shots, music choice and the overall ‘ambience’ make it even better.
I think a lot of the concepts are applicable to work and productivity spaces in general, it could give you ideas for how to decorate or change up your own work space
I think it is a great space. I bet it is pricey for a membership. A space like this in Dallas would be great but way too hot in the summer, I remember seeing this space in other videos so it was nice to see it on its own. Great work on the video
Man this place looks so comfortable and warm! My company moved into a fancy new office 2 years ago and I thought it was great until after working there for a while. I realized I hated everything being gray even if was new and modern.
Such a brilliant idea! In the past, I've tried working in spaces, like reserved library rooms, but the atmosphere there pretty much stifled my work flow.
This is close to me and it's truly beautiful! I might start with the day pass. Paul Williams is a famous Black architect, so I'm glad they preserved his work. Great video.
That office space is beautiful, and definitely agree that it would boost your mood working in that kind of environment! Although, a thing about these shared office spaces during the pandemic, is that a lot of people who still work in the office don't actually follow guidelines (at least from what I've experienced). The shared office space that the company I work for is still operating, and there really isn't anyone enforcing rules there. Thankfully we are all working from home. This is also in the Hollywood area.
Love the video. As someone who stills goes into the office from time to time. I would love to work in a place like Second Home. But I live in Wisconsin and it gets bitterly cold here in the winter; I never see a place like Second Home being practical here. I have looked at co-working places last year but with Covid, most of them have closed up.
Hey shelby this outside inside coworking space looks really amazing! I think that every company in every country should consider to have one especially during the current situation with covid! Keep it up with your great content!!
As a rural person.......this concept is so foreign to me. This workspace is basically my back yard. And yet I tend to stay inside to work.....perhaps perception plays a huge role in productivity in any given area. I dunno......just thinking out loud here.
This particular place is beautiful, and I love the idea of having an outdoor workspace like that, but it unfortunately wouldn't be practical in a lot of places. Here in Edmonton for example I can't imagine it working for most of the year, but I could be wrong. This video definitely made me curious about co-working spaces in general, this is actually the first time I can recall hearing about the concept and it seems like such a good idea.
Thanks Shelby for the insight , keep the info coming love your podcasts or vlogs .whats the difference between the 2 ? you have a great day & keep smiling .
Absolutely gorgeous space! Great classic Faema espresso machine on the bench as well. Nice choice on the KeepCup...one of my favorite and most recommended coffee cups :)
thanks alot for the information. I'm actually working on my thesis , and my topic is biophilic co-working and living hub. you pretty much explained the spaces in details.
I checked out their site... I think the rates are reasonable for all the benefits you get and it’s such a beautiful space! I wish I lived in California now that I work from home lol! Great job on the vlog! ❤️
Tabitha Howard price varies depending on what you need, from 25$ per day with all amenities up to 675$ per month for a small space. That 3000$+ per month is for a larger space used for work teams or bigger companies maybe? I checked the site Shelby listed in her description box for this vlog ❤️
Amazing concept. I think we all either need those frequent breaks of natural right or at least have it there to break up the stale indoor working space. Great vid!
Love your content.. How you continue to come up with these interesting ideas.. Love it!! ove how informative your videos are Shelby, they’re so chilled, full of information and actually interesting 😁👏🏽🧡Wow , Shelby Church is absolutely just killing it with all the uploads lately. A young blonde was on vacation in the depths of Louisiana. She wanted to buy a pair of genuine alligator shoes, but was very reluctant to pay the high prices the local vendors were asking. After becoming very frustrated with the “no haggle” attitude of one of the shopkeepers, the blonde shouted: - Maybe I’ll just go out and catch my own alligator so I can get a pair of shoes at a reasonable price! The shopkeeper said: - By all means, be my guest. Maybe you’ll luck out and catch yourself a big one! Determined, the blonde turned and headed for the swamps, set on catching herself an alligator. Later in the day, the shopkeeper was driving home, when he spotted the young woman standing waist deep in the water, shotgun in hand. Just then, he saw a huge 9-foot alligator swimming quickly toward her. She took aim, killed the creature, and with a great deal of effort hauled it on to the swamp bank. Lying nearby were several more of the dead creatures. The shopkeeper watched in amazement. The blonde flipps the alligator on its back and shouts out her frustration: - Damn it, this one isn’t wearing any shoes either! 🤭 If you like the comment, please" write "on my channel ... Looks nice but the pods look cheaply constructed and crowded. Would just make the whole space open as possible, with just a big tent like structure for shade and rain. And they need more variety of plants perhaps.
That place looks amazing. The only thing that I could think of to improve it would be to install solar power so that it is a 100% renewable office. I remember when LA use to be smog city. The name "Second Home" sounds too plain for such an innovative place. I'd call it "Jungle Pods" ;) Jungle Pods Rock

The bits of music that plays in during the video is really cool. I wonder where she gets it from?
Maybe she'll reply to you and let you know?
I really hope this is the future of offices, this is so cool!! Great video Shelby
I love how verse you’re and how your videos are very insightful. Thanks you for always teaching. That space and scenery looks beautiful
