Not sure why the downvotes, this was very helpful. I took a pick and cleaned out the epoxy, then applied heat like #Michael. Filipenses said, then proceeded to pry it off by putting the injector in a vice and leveraging just as you did. Came right off, did both in 15 minutes thanks to this video. Tyvm #74chevyman1!
My 2006 Sportsman 500 ho efi was just a clip, no epoxy. At that age the plastics are losing strength so don't mess with it in the cold unless you're feeling lucky! I bought it used so who knows what all has been changed. The more I learn the more I find wrong with the ATV. One thing is for sure, it is highly unlikely I will ever buy another used one but if you do, check every square inch and read the entire service manual prior.
Remove the wire retainer with small pick or screw driver, warm injector with heat gun for 20 seconds, clamp injector in vice, wiggle harness off, super easy.
I was trying to figure out how to get them out also.
Sounds like a bargain on the new injectors. Thanks for posting.
good info . . . I was going to get those you mention and on AMAZON for nearly the same price they have the input cables, so I went that route !

Yes warm with heat gun after removing wire retainer. Heat 20 seconds and wiggle harness off. Super easy
