  • Creating dimensions in drawing views can often be a time consuming process. This is especially true when there’s a lot of views included in the drawing. To make it easier to add dimensions to views, SOLIDWORKS can move or copy dimensions from one view to another. All it takes is a single keystroke combined with a mouse drag on screen.

    Hi all,
My cursor does not update and I can't control/select/drag or shift/select/drag a dimension to another view.
Is there a system option which enables this?

    Hi,
"shift" bottom can move the dimensions from the parent view to the projected view.
But what about detailed view? Can you move dimensions to detailed view?
