For folks experiencing this on the iPhone 11 Max Pro (iOS 14.7). Slight variation to one of the suggested solutions…I had the exact same problem despite all attempts, try putting your phone on Do Not Disturb and off DND twice (in settings > do not disturb not in quick menu), shut the phone down normally (hold top audio button and power, slide to power off), wait 2 full minutes. Turn phone back on, once password entered (if you have one) let the “Sim Failure” messages time out (may take a few “OK”s but do not let the phone go to sleep) and it should trigger the cellular data selection prompt. Once you select your primary, it should trigger the bars to search. Few seconds later it suddenly works. No other method has worked for me besides the aforementioned and I’ve been locked out for days…hopefully this helps someone and saves them time, sanity and money!
I was able to fix it by following your instructions of taking SIM card out , did back up first, then turn phone off reinserted SIM and it worked. Thanks !

I’m using an iPhone Xr running iOS 15.2 and ran into this problem earlier today where my cellular service was no longer working. I was feeling bad about having to generate more e-waste and buy a new phone but this video helped! My fix came in at 3:20 with the “Do Not Disturb” trick. I’m not sure how long this will stay operable but it’s working and I don’t need to visit the repair shop tomorrow 😂 thanks!!

All u have to do it is make sure u have no cracks in your glass screen back and front then set a appointment with your phone carrier to do a upgrade to a better newer iphone its better than buying a whole nee phone and throwing your broke one away but sure u try all the steps before u do that

My phone dropped while I was sleep and my service was gone when I woke up and got on it I tried everything and it still says no sim idk what to do I put another sim tray in it and it popped up
My daughter has an iphone 11. I used a paperclip and it does have to be done on top of a hard surface (like a table), push it in hard enough it will pop open. take out the case but leave the sim card on the case. Blow inside the phone a few times where the sim card goes into (like we used to do with SNES cartridges, then push the sim card and tray back inside your phone. Problem fixed.

worked for me i cleaned the sim card and turn airplane mode on and off
mine says it has service and ive payed the bill for it but when i try and watch yt or something it says no connecting
