    Step 6 avoid distractions, My husband is a carpet cleaner and roped me in to housecleaning for his clients. Through that process we took on janitorial and construction cleaning. Are you saying I should give all these up and just focus on housecleaning? Should we separate the carpet cleaning from the house cleaning since we operate under the same license and name? This has always confused me. Thank you!

      To achieve the highest levels of success it's always best to focus intensely on one vertical at a time. But I wouldn't necessarily give up revenue that you've already attracted! I recommend that you separate the carpet cleaning revenue and expenses in your bookkeeping (easy to do if using Quickbooks). The problem with the distractions is it will tend to busy you up so much that you don't focus on building one solid, profitable vertical, like house cleaning. If you can focus on house cleaning and he focuses on carpet cleaning it could be a huge win-win. You can be a power couple!! Good luck :)
