I've created about 75 journals and coloring books in the last two months or so.... however, no sales as yet. I don't have money to pay for ads, professional book covers, etc. Im pretty creative and my covers are good, but I wonder how long it takes before generating sales? I've watched many videos by different creators and have learned a lot.

Hi, Caroline - long time subscriber here. I'm finally getting serious about making an income with self-publishing. 2025, do or die - literally. Ultimately I'd like to write medium content children's books, even wrote a story and began looking at options to get it illustrated, when I decided I'd better start smaller for my first effort. Have you (or someone you know) created a detailed video or online lesson on getting a low content book researched, created, uploaded, illustrated, and marketed from start to finish? I have ideas, but get overwhelmed right out of the gate with not knowing if the idea is even a good one, and don't want to waste time on a steep learning curve only to discover at the end that I have a guaranteed loser on my hands. Can you direct me to the right place? :) Thank you for the hours of helped your videos have already given me. I always trust your advice and get a shot of hope every time I watch one.
I think if see this video for sam barnes about amazon kdp full course you'll learn something from him, he explained how to make and sell coloring books but its still good information because its 3 hour course here on youtube he published before 2 month and he explained in details everything, good luck ❤
Trying to have ID verified for/by KDP for the past few days. Their capture software appears to be mis-coded, and the customer service (yes, I know it's holiday season) has been insultingly abysmal. Maybe the needlessly redundant verification - they already have all other vital info, including everything that's printed on the ID plus!, no troubles - just won't recognize the photo ID) means this isn't for me after all........
I live in South Africa, and also went through the same process regarding uploading our personal details, ID pic, both sides, etc, but must say it took me about two hours or less. Just keep trying instead of giving up so quickly, you will get it right eventually. What have you got to lose? Dollars ... which we all need, so just stay determined and focused on your goal. Don't give up. I'm glad I didn't. I haven't made any sales yet, but it's only been about 2 months ago that I started this. If I can do this , so can you ..cos I'm a 66 year old granny!😅 ❤
