Thanks. Yeah, Derek has pretty much the same stride rate from an easy recovery run to almost 5k pace. Meanwhile, I feel like I’m in a Roadrunner cartoon. 😂

Had I seen this video before, I would have bought the metaspeed edge. Bought the vaporfly instead.

Last time I could get the Edge plus easily but Sky Plus was always sold out.. Now vice versa.. Sky Paris available but not many buy it Edge Paris sold out.. I of course need the Edge Paris 🎉

My Edge Paris came with the bandit color matched socks the influencers got. Must’ve switched out the boxes at the warehouse! 😂
Only used them for a treadmill workout and enjoyed them, but the outdoor long run will be the real test. I suppose if I don’t like them then the Sky Paris is still easy to find to switch them out. Seems that it should be clear which of the 2 people prefer, and I went with Edge as I enjoyed the Vaporfly 3 a lot.

I bought both the edge and the sky because im not quite sure which style of running I do. Will have to do some testing in them to see how they feel and just return the other pair. I am leaning towards the edge but im not sure if the sky wouldnt be the better choice as it seems to be more propulsive.
I’d be interested to hear what you decide after giving them both a try. Since the airing of this video, Derek had a chance to try both, and he’s decidedly a Sky guy.

@@thecaptainchas2820 I tried both and went with the Edge Paris (I'm a stride runner). I couldn't activate the plate in the Sky Paris it just felt like i was bouncing on the midfoot with no roll. The Edge sinks me into the forefoot so I toe off better. I think I would get achilles soreness in the Sky Paris like I do in the Sky Plus (although I still like that shoe).
Did you say Endorphin Elite is softer? More stable at slower pace?
For my mechanics, yes. I may be in the minority on that. But the Edge Paris has a lot smaller surface area making contact with the ground, even though the Elite has that lateral cutout.
Question! I train for 5k and 8k would the edge paris still be a great option? Or another one would be better?
Absolutely. I think it might be one of the best (if not the best) of the supershoes for those distances. Since this review came out, I raced a 5-miler in them and took fl1st place. They feel good running fast.
Would you say its faster then the Nike alphafly 3 for 5k races. Thank you.
That would depend on the runner. But yeah, I personally would probably reach for the Edge Paris for a 5k over the AlphaFly 3. Especially if there are some tight turns.
Sizing question.. Edge Plus is TTS for me. Is Edge Paris longer..?
I don’t think it’s longer, no. Maybe just a more accommodating upper. I think you’ll be fine TTS. The Edge+ is a tad big when I go 1/2 size up and the Edge Paris is snug but appropriate when I go TTS.

It sounds as everything that I'm hearing and seeing from everyone that the edge is for shorter distances and the sky for longer distances.
Not necessarily. They are intended for the same purpose. They just suit a different profile of runner for that purpose.
I run 1/2+ races and was looking to add another shoe in the rotation as I'm fond of the Superblast and run in Pro 3's for the longer distances, but it seems as if the edge is not quite as comparable to it? - the pro 3. Can't say I'm strictly a forefoot runner - more mid to back but can tire over the longer distances - is the sky more forgiving? I also have a shorter stride for a 6'1" person to conserve energy.
@@042766 no. For me, the Sky+ is just as unforgiving. I’d rather run a marathon in the Edge+ than the Sky+, but I wouldn’t choose either of them over the Pro 3 for that distance.
However, the Edge Paris and Sky Paris are more forgiving for that distance. But there still might be other marathon racers that are more suited to the full distance.
Thank you - you just might have solved my problem - stick with pro 3 for marathons and see if I can get the edge for not only 10k but up to 1/2 marathons. I do have TK Sen 10's but train in them.
I received mine today but the upper feels tight on the inside arch…worried I might get rubbing/arch blisters like I have done in alphaflys so will then have to try and sell them used and at about half the price 🥲 Did you experience any issues with this at all? Thankyou!!!
I did not experience any arch run or blisters. But it is a snug fit. I did get arch run in AlphaFly 2, but not AlphaFly 3.

Mine arrived today and are definitely more red than orange
Yes. I’d say bright red. In certain light, they look orange, in other lights, they look almost pink, but IRL, they’re red.
