Great vid! I’ve been whacking them over here in North Texas on traps! Fathead Minnow year round and Sparkle Silverado is deadly year round. All the ones you mentioned 100% Fish magnets!
Hard to beat the RatLTrap!
Newest of the rocks
Beware of the rocks could be good but danger zone too
👍 thanks for watching!

Ken always comes through with the answers!
Just getting back into lipless cranks after focusing on blade bait’s for the past couple of years… I figure for the colder months of the year why not have a blade bait, Rat L Trap, and a one knocker tied on along with a jerkbait and a big ( 3-6oz )swimbaittied on… pretty much all bases covered… probably toss in an A-rig in the line up🎣
You’ve got it all covered!
Will you be throwing other stuff too if a lot of people are throwing Rts what would you go to next
I’d say a chatterbait would be next!
@MattBeckerFishing my next would be a jack hammer then a dt 6 or 8 to 10 then a spinner bait
Thanks for sharing your top 5 colors!!! Got get'em in Fla.!!!👊Stay Safe & God Bless!!!!
Thank you sir!
Good advice. Traps were some of my first baits when I started. Still hold a soft spot for me. Side note: If you tie the front and back hooks together with those small black hair bands, they don't tangle up near as much. The trick is remembering to out the band back on, after you're done throwing the lure. Does you no good, off the hooks. 😄
I’ll have to try that!
Rat-l-trap has been one of my top confidence spring baits for as long as I can remember. Easy to use and you can bomb them out there. Thanks for the color tips, Matt, I will be picking a few new colors up for this spring.
Awesome!
Loved the video. I love red and gold as my favorite colors too. I seem to do best on stop and go with most hitting on the pause. I appreciate what you do.
That’s my favorite way to fish it as well! I love that “thump” on a slack line!
Very cool colors. Junebug purple should be a big producer for you in Fla. Ever try the trick by drilling a small hole in the belly and removing the bb’s. Put a little water back in and epoxy the hole. Give it a try for a dif. Sound
I’ll try it!
