First you wow me with monolithic thermally broken ICF concrete pours, then the eco-finish system! I’m looking forward to more in depth eco-finish content and installation on ICF. Total game changer for finishing pools. Nice job!
Your videos and insights are the no joke best on the subjects, and as complicated as a lot of this is you do a really amazing job of squeezing a ton of great information into every minute. All of that said, and I am by no means some random hater - quite the opposite, you guys REALLY need to take the PPE/MSDS full tilt serious. Speaking as an older guy who ended his working career prematurely, thanks to an industrial poisoning accident, it all catches up to ya, and often w/o warning. I was a superman, ex SERE instructor Billy BA who didn't need no stinkin' mask. Acetone, epoxies, urethane, etc., all poisonous crap that doesn't play well w/ human physiology. Just me being selfish 'cuz I don't wanna see ya get sick & not be able to keep making these awesome videos. Beautiful job, professional as ever, just take better care of yourself, 'cuz makin' a good living only matters if you live a healthy enough life to enjoy it.
The work you are doing is so innovative, I eagerly look forward to the videos on ICF and EcoFinish. We have no where near this level of innovation in Australia. You should consider opening up a business here and bringing this can do attitude down under.
Amazing to watch going in real time! Would love to see this available in So. AZ. Great weather this time of year 😉. Can you provide a rough ratio/comparison of cost per square foot ecofinish v vinyl liner v sidercrete (simple rectangular pool)?
You are very good at what you do to teach us by keeping our attention. Your sound and video quality is on point. The heat made your camera focus dance a bit but so would I. I wonder if I watched to the end to see if the one wheel would show up? I look forward to seeing this finish on an ICF pool.
Curious to know your thoughts on longevity and cost difference between Eco finish vs full tile? ICF structure obviously. Thanks for the detailed video!
Full tile is the premium diy way as you’re equipment cost is nil…. That said most pool grouts, even epoxies, give a route for water to get behind the tiles, so I do give an edge to eco for the fact that it’s 100% non cement based and completely ph neutral…. Thst said I love tile too!
Great video, thanks for explaining the process. Any suggestion on how to keep the waterline clean? At our pool the waterline is also ecofinish but a lot of grease of probably suntan sticks to the waterline with probably alges making the waterline look very dirty and green, our poolguy has having it very difficult to keep it clean as we want our ecofinish waterline to be as pretty as can be for our guests.
It looks more like sunscreen waste which is turning greenish, how can that be removed easily or more prevented to attach to the ecofinish as different poolguys have difficulty cleaning it
What about polyurea? I know the spray machines are pricy. You think ecofinish could be used to waterproof a shower instead of using the various membranes like schluter? Thinking about the possibilities with this product(ecofinish), makes me giddy.
Might work but not specifically made for the chemistry of pools or to be underwater 24-7, eco is, I just trust the designers of the product to a degree that I think it’s by far the answer!
maybe the wife will change her mind on your backyard pool if you let her run the flamethrower?!? lol, great vid Aaron, lookin forward to seeing how this combines with ICF.
I love this product with the icf pool an contractors in the north east ga area? If so can I get the info or the training to diy it or part of it thanks
Can this eco finish hold up with an saltwater set up and how much would an 16 by 36 pool a deep of 3ft 6in and an tanning leage 16 by 12 ft and an swim spa pool hot tub pool deep being 4ft 6in with that size being 16ft by 36ft with alot of tub and swim jets all with eco finish and an two water fall into one pond about 8ft to 10ft high about how much
I have a client with an icf pool and sider crete. Is this a candidate for eco finish? Eco finish said not to apply with icf in case it burns the foam. Is this true?
Ecofinish gives pretty stock answers without understanding the process if you don’t articulate beyond saying icf…. As to your first question it’s our opinion that sider is not a very good product and shouldn’t have anything applied over it to repair, but basecrete will work although they will not guarantee that the sider below will not cause future failures
Remember to try Ecofinish on ICCF blocks! The surface is more porous than the solid EPS slabs on each side of a traditional ICF and they are almost fireproof. No "cold joints" either!
How do they not have cold joints??? Also, eco did try it and didn’t like it, they are scared of a lot of icf methods too btw and aren’t doing a ton to get the final answers but I’m positive will be harder to install on than icf
Question(s)🧐. Better than any product........even tile with grout?? Whatz the lifespan of it? Does that include color stability? Do you simply wash the acid-etch directly into the city sewage system....no problems doing that? About the first resin coat: i was told in a commercial fiberglass shop that watering down epoxy prevents it from properly settin-up. Comments??? -Thankx😊
So if the diluted epoxy tie coat penetrates the substrate then it must be porous, follows that if you acid etch the surface prior then this acid can also get absorbed to below the surface causing future damage to the substrate. Acid will absorb in but is impossible to neutralise once it has dried below the surface.
Ya so either you didn’t watch the whole vid, u are a troll, or not smart…. What makes epoxy PAINT inadequate is it’s instability against pool chemicals and UV light, as a waterproofer and bonding agent it’s great, just ask the boat industry…. The ecofinish is thermoplastic, which is the layer exposed to the water and chemistry of the pool, which protects the epoxy from the elements that harm it, the system is a layered composite that’s pretty genius…. It was pretty clear;)
@@all3pools Pretty sure you first PAINTED two layers of epoxy first. Not even sure i would use icf forms for a pool. Once you have a leak the styrofoam will absorb all that water over time. Great concept thou.
Ours will be finished tomorrow. This is the best video i have seen on the ecofinish process

Your coworker should probably have at least some ppe when using the flame gun. Very cool process. Thank you for all of the videos and great tips!
How do you keep it from melting the ICF foam layer? What is the base coat over the foam?

Will get to that once we’ve got the icf version dialed in, probably around Christmas for that bid

Can this be done in a blue color, also what would be the charge for a service like this on a refinish so remove old and add?

It seems I may be winning that battle atm, assuming permits go through, I’m pushing setbacks to the mm:)
@@all3pools ...sweet!
How do apply ECO-Finish near skimmers, returns, things that could melt, etc…. Thank You.
Silicone tape and silicone plugs!
Will you use the ecofinish on pool decks or outdoor patios?
You could but eco is pretty pricey compared to other products that work well on decking, but those products don’t work under water!
What did this pool cost to do.

what is the most chosen color for ecofinishes?
Not sure lots of blues and greys, perle noire is popular too, commercial pools only have a few approved
@@all3pools I have just hired a local company here in new Mexico. I think I will be going with pacific blue for my pool

Where can I buy ICF pool plans
Stay tuned! We are launching a website in January, not sure about plans specifically but we will have tons of resources!
Just like bonding in the dentists office 😆

It’s actually not a great epoxy that they over coated. Maybe Aquaguard 5000? Ultra guard has a video on that
