the leg going up and down gives it all away, you simply loved playing this, I am 67 and this is possibly my favourite song ever. Bless you for the happiness you have given to me. David J Cooper
@@lalo2509 Jajajaja No amigo. Es un chiste sobre cómo a los ingleses les gusta esa canción. Es como la típica de las fiestas fresas de allá, aunque la canción es americana jaja
Always been envious of guitarists who have the techniques, songwriting skills and the ability to use the guitar within a composition without it having to be front and center. The guitar part is subdued, but without it, the song could not exist at such a high level I always thought of Alex Lifeson and Andy Summers playing like that. The Killers guitarist is cut from that same mold or at least similiar
Learning this now...the 4 individual parts aren't crazy difficult (other than that stretch from G to D!), but the transitions are hard due to odd chords. If you can play this, you're a pretty good guitarist...this guy killed it, well done!
The precision of the picking is really satisfying to see. Very subtle movements but hitting the right string every single time over and over again. Really cool.
This song and Snow by RHCP are two of the most frustrating songs to play; but not because the riffs are particularly difficult. With Snow, playing that riff throughout the entire songs is absolute murder on your arm and for this song it leaves your hand with what feels like carpal tunnel.
I’ve just started learning to play and this is one of my all time favourite songs that I want to learn to play so badly! One day I’m gonna be good enough to play like this!!!! You absolutely killed it man! Keep up the great work 🤘🏽
The intro isn’t that difficult as long as you can prevent accidentally muting the high e string, the hard part is moving back to the 2nd verse, not enough time to get back into shape for me 😂
The main part to practice is getting your hand placement right from the opening rift to the pre-chorus. Putting your ring finger and pinky on those 7th fret A# and C#. If you get that you got the song id say.
I know. Most guitarists write songs that alternate between riffs and chords to give their fingers a break but Mr. Brightside is nothing but fast riff after fast riff the entire song, and they all require complex finger shapes and stretching. It's like he was intentionally trying to write a guitar track that would make most people's hands cramp up LOL
I believe this is just the lead part. Sounds like there is a second guitar doing all strumming and I know the killers is a 2 guitar set up. Definitely very melodic lead part. Definitely a big part why the song is so great!
I feel the beginning of this song more difficult than the entire California hotel solo. I just finished learning it in less than 7 days. this intro of the song I have always had failures HAHA
This truly highlights the really great guitar work in the song. You nailed it, and I think I just found my next goal. Very well done, friend! You are very talented!
Holy shit so his just came on while I had auto play on and I didn’t even notice any differences in the guitar and song, I just thought hmm this sounds like a differently mixed version or maybe compressed something, a couple little tiny parts sounded very try slightly different notes wise so I was like hmm maybe it’s an alt (or maybe demo) version they released on some b side or something lol, but then I just see it was you covering it, well done sir!! I’ve got a pretty good ear having recorded and mixed a bit and been musician since pre-puberty lol so noice.
Lol my les paul is my workhorse guitar, I play a lot of teles and jazzmasters but the LP is my mainstay, super reliable, does everything I want consistently, playing Mr brightside on it isn't too bad, you just really have to shift the angle of the guitar very specifically for that part
I've been playing the acoustic as a hobby for a couple years now and I'm amazed at how you hit the right strings every time. Does it just come with practice to the point where you don't even need to think about what string you're hitting?
That intro turns your fingers into a pretzel!!!
Yes...it does!😅
U know it's hard to play when the guy who wrote it struggles to play it hahaha
And prechorus turns them into a pancake😂
give this guy with great comment a pretzel
@@Watch_over_us There is an easier way to play the pre chorus. But I see that many go for the difficult version haha.

Well...what can I say...thank you so much! This is all worth it! Bless you too and keep enjoying music! I will remember this for a long time!
The first time I played this song, three british people broke into my house to randomly party.
I live in Mexico.
Whaaattt...?? Incredible!!😅
Duuuude! Greatest comment EVER!

This song sounds so simple but upon further inspection it's quite a tricky song to play.
This is what i mean when i say i want to be good at guitar
That was absolutely superb. The girls must love you at parties lol
🤣☺️thank you!
Getting back to that intro chord for the next verse is a nightmare.
It’s the hardest part for sure!!
One of the best riffs of the 21st century, it's sad and hopeful in a very unique way.

Gotta say this is the best cover of this I’ve seen I can’t wait to learn this myself keep up the good work!
Nice to hear, thank you Ryan!
Omg the tone... nailed it!
You make it look so easy! Great job!!!
Ok but this song is lowkey HARD. Good job on this one!

Finally! Someone doing a cover with single coil pickups! Well done dude 👍🏼
Well! Thank you Reginald!
Just watching this makes my hands hurt. You are pretty amazing! Excellent playing. Thank you for making this!

I have never once played a full song, but having hypermobility in all of my fingers really helped for this song. I actually found the intro easy

Love that shimmer effect.
Thank you Colton!
For all the players out there that don't have gigantic hands..... that G chord stretch in the pre chorus is a bitch......
I cheat it when playing live , play a g chord and apegiate the last 3 strings open e and hit the e 2 times before coming back down
Been learning this for the last week, those stretches are brutal
The main part to practice is getting your hand placement right from the opening rift to the pre-chorus. Putting your ring finger and pinky on those 7th fret A# and C#. If you get that you got the song id say.
your amazing goood cover my friend .)
Very well done my Brother.
Tone is spot on!!
so!! good!! awesome guitar cover !!!!!

this is sick well done

Crazy how there are no strummed chords in such an iconic song...all picking, etc.

Damn, gotta respect the endurance. Those Chords just absolutely f me up after more than a minute
The tone 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 nailed it brotha, stay safe ♥️
Wow! Fun to watch, thanks. I read the Killers guitarist is proud of this song, I can see why
My brain: it seems easy.
My finger: You're joking right? Remember the time you try to play hotel california solo?
I feel the beginning of this song more difficult than the entire California hotel solo. I just finished learning it in less than 7 days. this intro of the song I have always had failures HAHA
Hotel California solo is really easy compared to this one
Mr Brightside feels hard to play if you have small fingers like me,same as Every Breath You Take even though the notes are simple
And message in a bottle all these songs have bastard stretches!
Totally loved it man
I didn’t know it was that intuitive. Good job
This is one of my favorite covers on UA-cam!
This is flawless...
Holy crap, why wasn’t I already subscribed? That was fantastic
Thanks so much Pierre!

I want to learn this but after seeing you… i think i need to throw my guitars.
Nice tone
Boom!
good job hahah i like it
Killed it man. Love that chord progression at the pre chorus
1:07
Beethoven's 9th symphony
My favourite part is the one that comes after that 1:19
Great job, man
That one stupidly stretchy chord at the bridge is what preventing me from playing this song. Good job on the cover my dude.
Thank you Winardi!
Hey man that sounds amazing. Any chance you could share what combo of pedals/effects you used to get that on-point sound?
Hi Conor, Timmy overdrive, flanger, tape delay and spring reverb into 5E3 style amp.
@@RobertBisquertGuitar Thanks so much!
Bringing a Mexican strat to this cover might be taking the name Mr. "Bright"side a little literally huh? 😂 Rock on dude sick cover, love the tone
I cant Imagine playing the intro on a les paul.
I’m currently trying for some reason
Cause it's all i have 😭

Gracias, me encanta 🎸
sounds nice. hold on posting videos)
Thank you!!
How do you go right back into the verse at 1:46 ...
sabrmagician its a chord shape which is easy to do, hes just playing arpeggios
Freaking badass broo
I've been playing the acoustic as a hobby for a couple years now and I'm amazed at how you hit the right strings every time. Does it just come with practice to the point where you don't even need to think about what string you're hitting?
Practice so u dont need to think about it
That's it! Keep practicing and playing the music you like, never give up! You'll get there!
hello, can u do a tutorial of this song, btw greetings from spain, very nice cover!
Thank you Ryan, sorry but I don't do tutorials, There are plenty of them so I'm sure you will find one! Greetings from Spain!
Impossible! 😶
This is very difficult melody but
how you can settings for guitar??
he's probably using chorus and overdrive pedals
I think he is using a delay, reverb and chorus with a light distorsion.
@@urgidover which is overdrive pretty much
@@urgidover i think you are right about the delay
