Thanks for the info. I've been using the turmeric and black pepper capsules you recommended. Not only have they alleviated the inflammation on my scalp, but they are also helping with the inflammation in my knees! A definite 2 for 1!!😊
Hey Lynn! Thanks for taking the time to update how it's going with your regrowth journey. I learned a lot! My comment is about hair porosity. Years ago I saw a video on UA-cam saying to determine the hair's porosity, take a clean, freshly washed, strand of hair with no products on it and place it in a glass of water. If it sinks to the bottom, your hair's highly porous. If it floats on the top, and still there minutes later, it's low porosity hair. I have 4c/4b, low porosity hair. So, retaining moisture is a struggle. But, I'm also very lazy when it comes to hair care...😞
You’re welcome! Thanks for the reminder about that tip! I’ve seen it but don’t remember to do it until after I’ve already put the leave-in on😂. One of these days I’ll remember. lol
thanks for the info but I am currently searching for the right products. Moisture is definitely a problem and itching. Nothing works yet for the hair loss
I could be wrong and please correct me if I am. You seem to be focused on the products you put on your hair more than topical remedies for the scalp? Are the products you are putting on your hair beneficial to the scalp also? Thank you in advance for your answer.
Thanks for asking! My priorities for the treatment process have been internal first (hormones, gut health, eliminating food triggers, etc.) and then external (hair products and topical treatments). After working with my dermatologist and hair stylist we decided to not use scalp oils/serums as a primary treatment option. I have used a topical steroid periodically, as recommended by my dermatologist. I'm not against topical remedies and I've heard that many have seen benefit with them. However, for this part of my journey, my hair/scalp has been in recovery with minimal use of a topical/scalp treatment. Hope this helps clarify!
Really great video, thank you so much! I was wondering if you incorporate any oils when styling or moisturizing? I'm currently using a good amount of oil and I'm wondering if that is fueling my inflammation.
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching! I have tried oils off and on but I'm not consistent with them. Curly Chemistry has some really good videos and tips on how to use oils for hair and scalp.
@@nourishyourcrown yes, she does. Ms. Tony S. Lane (curlychemistry.com) does mention Rosemary and rosemary oil. You mentioned DHT, which is notoriously known to give men issues with their hair. Recently it has been revealed that it reeks havoc on the hair of many women as well. Rosemary has been shown to rival Minoxidil. Rosemary cost less, can be purchased in the supermarket, grown in your garden, and prepared in your kitchen...
@@nourishyourcrownhello, new subscriber here! Please advise which serum you discontinued. I just bought a melatonin serum from Amazon and it smells like pure alcohol :(
Hi - welcome to the channel! I stopped using the serum shortly after I purchased it (this video was first recorded a couple of years ago). Like you, I had an issue with the alcohol smell over time.
Don't worry about pronunciation. Some of the chemical names will twist the mind and tongue. You did well. The steroid (generic): "Mo-met-a-sewn" "fuur-oh-ate"

Don't give up. You can do it. You are worth it. Square one is ok. As long as you are alive, there is hope. Be encouraged. You are not alone.
Wonderful information, thank you 😊
You are so welcome!
Yes, I agree that this is well done and very transparent, which is helpful when one is trying to determine if something may be personally useful.

Hello ma'am could you please do a video on melatonin serum that you bought? Thank you! New subbie going through hairloss 😇
Hi @RiyaSunnyofficial0312! Welcome to the channel! I ended up stopping use of the serum, so unfortunately, I'm not able to give a full review.
