- Some xBs have a glossy lower grille while others have a matte one so make sure you buy one with the correct finish. The links below are for the housing and bulbs only so you will need to source an OEM switch.

This is a glossy finish for 2011-2015 xBs only (which is the kit I purchased) This kit does come with extra wires and a switch you won't need because we are using the OEM harness. The included switch will not work with the OEM connector

Thank you Luminous Plasma for the accurate fog light install video. I used it during the installation of LED fog lights in my son’s 2011 xB (his first car).
On a side note: A couple questions on what I saw in the video.
Those look like Fiamm horns added to the high tone (meep, meep) OEM’s.
Q1: Did you use a relay or anything added to the stock horn wiring?
Q2: How does it sound with all 4 in concert together?

Nope! It’s a full oem install and not needed
hello can you please tell me which wire did you tap into. from the switch. im installing the fog light this weekend but dont want to the harness it came with
It appears he didn't tap into anything. It looks like the car came pre-wired with the fog light harness. Toyota just didn't include the fog lights.
Does any one know the wiring diagram to the oem plug bc I have two green one white and one gray wires to connnect any switch I just don’t know what the colors mean. Btw I have a 2012 xb.

Can you replace the fog light bulbs without taking the whole bumper off? Does that front grill piece come off?
I have an 08 XB and I can replace my bulbs w/o taking off the bumper. You just have to take off the plastic skid underneath the bumper.
I did it on my 2010 Corolla XRS, the skid plate will block access to the bulbs. You'll need to jack up the car and remove the skid plate or you can leave it off after removal, it doesn't really do anything. It just protects the radiator.
also will like to know if you used the factory fog light switch.

Yes, all kits on eBay will not come with a switch that works with the OEM harness. You will need to source an OEM Toyota switch that has this connector if you want everything to work as it was intended.
I have a 2008 scion xb. Is this all plug & play or do I need to install the red wire to the battery?
It’s all plug and play. Just make sure you buy the fog lights for 08-10

So the housings were plug and play from the oem harness? And the only wiring that would need to be done is on the switch? (i wont be buying the oem switch)

@@LuminousPlasma just installed mine today thanks for the guidance! I used the aftermarket harness and switch and ran the ignition so i can turn it on whenever and use it as a running light!

Stephen Siegel yep but you need to source an original oem switch for the xB. All these kits you see on eBay that come with a similar style switch are not compatible with the oem harness. Only the light housings and bulbs would be useable

Yep no problem hopefully installation will be nice and smooth. I also recommend upgrading to leds before putting everything back together

@@melvinfelipe just follow the video all you need is a genuine oem switch and then the fog light housings and bulbs and that’s it!
So wait that genuine oem switch doesn’t come with the set right ? I’d have to purchase that separately.
@@melvinfelipe Yeah the one that comes with all the kits you see on places like eBay will not work with the factory wiring and even though they include a “harness” and a switch you need to just discard them since all xBs have the oem wiring and plugs ready for just the switch and bulbs so the switch these kits includes is not the same connector

Yes, all 2nd gen xBs need their oem lower grille cut to fit the oem lights. Thats how they are installed from factory and why they keep those ridges to show where to cut
@@LuminousPlasma I was just about to ask if those marks were already on the grill but you answered that. Thanks for the video. I have a 2013 and were looking at buying a set on eBay. The set I'm looking at comes with the harness and switch. But it seems like there's already wiring there even if you don't have the fog lights as an option already from your video. So I won't need to run the wiring because the harnesses are already there? Check out this link and tell me what you think about these.

sorry for the late reply I’ve been busy with school lol. I haven’t found a kit on eBay that is just the projectors so I always ditch the cables as well as the switch when I go for the installation
Did you purchase the oem fog loght kit from toyota or were those aftermarket? Can u share info?
Yes actually I’m planning on uploading a link to where I got them in the description. They are oem style molds so they are a perfect match and line up perfectly. However the ones in the video were gloss black whereas the ones in the description will be matte and will match a lot better with the oem lower grille.
