As a newcomer to the series I'm going back and watching it from the begining. When you go to Mercury in Destiny the zone that you are in is called the fields of glass. I think that the Vex need a power supply to activate their time weaving ability, they need a planets core. That's why they turned Mercury into a machine so that they could harvest the power of the plants core and they used their power that they must of saved up to have the Templar turn the planet into a machine in days but they only had enough to use it on a small target so they choose Mercury.
Sir Wallen - Lore Seeker Maybe because the Vex goal is to turn the world into their vision when the Traveler stopped the Vex from reaching the other planets a handful of Vex had landed on Venus because Venus is right next to Mercury the Vex only had enough power to set up a base aka the vault of glass and the Vex need some kind of internet to stay active that's why when you to the Black Garden you see all the frozen Vex. So when you see the vex Tower in Venus that may be like a power generator and the vex on Venus are storing up power and when the time the time the Templar can turn Venus into what they want it to look like.
Also maybe Athon is the core the center link think about it he able to bend space and time at will why would he be the most protected he is the main Gate lord when their system of links their always has to be a something that's giving the lesser links alive Athon that one he the core for the vex Network on Venus that's why he is so power full one of the center links he give the vex the power to teleport out side of the vault.
That sounds pretty spot on. Aethon is the largest and most powerful Vex entity we have faced thus far. It would make sense if he was potentially the gate keeper of the Vex time networks.
Amazing lore video! Your idea is brilliant pure amazing. The size of the vex is huge the vault of glass is but a fragment of the power of the vex devouring all other enemy. As you said why haven't they killed us yet? Why I think our solar system is a playground for the vex a blank canvas that the vex are painting on. I love your videos and I hope you get this even if this is a old video. Good luck
The 3 Vex we fight in the Black Garden look very similar to Atheon. I think that the Cex in the Black garden pay tribute to the worm, which then allows Atheon the power control time and generate the Vault of Glass.
I hope the next expansion plays more on this. Like, somehow the vex are able to recreate this power outside the vault and since they control time and space, bring back a future atheon that was more powerful or a new atheon like being that would have been if atheon never died or something.
I think since it is out of space and time or whatever if you try to glitch pass the door there should just be a giant rock wall blocking the whole thing so you have to create the spire to get in the vault
I think that the Vault of Glass is a direct link to the Black Garden. The Vex learned everything from the Hive. The Vex likely eventually realized that they needed to worship the Worm in order to gain powers like the Hive have. To me, Atheon is basically the Vex's equivilent of Oryx and the Vault of Glass is their version of the Ascendant Realm.
Fun fact: the Sol Progeny were not made do host the Black Heart's essence. They were originally made to bring the VoG's power out into the real world. It wasn't until the player arrived that they were used for a different purpose.
I think the FWC is the vex or atleast made the vex. Many of the factions in the tower seem have similarities with the factions out side of the city: New monarchy and the hive(unified under one rule and dedicated to retaking and protecting what is 'thier's'), Dead orbit and cabal or Golden age humanity(trying to flee and run from somthing) and Future war cult the vex, the FWC has access to technology that allows the users to see alternate timelines and frequently mentions time and even the black garden. The FWC's core belief is that of no peace and war is enevitable 'the vex, an evil so dark, it despises other evil'. -the exo stranger. The reason that they cannot destroy humanity is because we become them and the darkness was either was them or caused the collapse created them or they came from another timeline and created them selves ect. The alternate timelines might explain different types of vex and the possibility of Aetheon being an Atheist and not worshiping the dark heart.
I have a question. You said the Oracles are just "fortune tellers" so to speak and that they must transfer those thoughts to the Templar. How is it then in the House of Wolves Vault of Glass mission are the Oracles so dangerous, and if we do not shoot them we are marked by them and die. There is no templar (this takes place after the Vault of Glass raid) and there is only oracles, so how can they wipe us without a Templar?
NinjaPups though I'm not Wally himself, you bring up a very interesting point. It's like during Atheon those who travel through time get marked by the oracles and die, even though the Templar does not exist anymore. If I had to guess, it be that the Templar speeds the oracles prediction up. Like in Greek Mythology whatever the Oracles say usually come true, and they are rather unclear on when the event will happen. But the Vex inside the vault are not bound by time, so it would be possible if the Templar was just able to bring the time of your demise faster than if it wasn't there. That's just my theory though
I think the primary problem in theorizing about the Vex is assuming that they haven't *already* achieved their goals. Consider the following: We know they perceive time differently, that they are unimaginably powerful, and that, paradoxically, we can defeat them. It is theoretically possible that the Guardians are simply that powerful, but it is much more likely that the Vex simple don't *need* to win.
The Vault of Glass lore may be confusing, but that's because our current heuristic of scientific naturalism functions on a uniformitarian axiom that the universe is governed by natural law. The Vault of Glass is not constrained by natural law, and instead the properties of reality inside of the vault are defined by the will of the Vex. Aetheon, the Templar, and the Gorgons manipulate reality as you or I manipulate the muscles in our body. However, we can can only conceptualize the Vault of Glass in the abstract due to the limitations of the aforementioned heuristic.
How far does the time traveling powers of the Vex stretch? I have a theory that they can only go back to places/portals they have visited, because if not, they could go back to any time and win the war with the Guardians. If they have no limits however, that would suggest that they know/are waiting/cultivating something in the future, possibly near. Does anyone else have theories on Vex time travel/dimensional powers?
So, I was Reading grimoire cards and I was reading the Vex gate lord one, and in the last paragraph it was saying and I quote "could we find a Vex gate that opens onto a place and time before the Collapse, and somehow forestall it?" So imagine if we could manipulate the Vex technology inside the Vault Of Glass, travel to the past and prevent the Collapse? It certainly gives food for thought
I would like to say your videos are really good and well thought out. I would like to know if you plan on making one for the Vault of Glass on the story line. In the story I think there are alot of hidden information.
Well we know from the Grimoire Cards that Kabr was the Gaurdian that was in the VOG and that the Relics were created from the skin of the Gorgon, that he never died. So I mean there is alot, of the myth of the VOG. I really think that if you can capture it. This guy really knows a lot of it. www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/77088284/0/0 Would like a video of it. Thank you for the reply
The Vex's hive mind is Rasputin in the future if the Guardians fail to defeat the darkness. They say it thinks like a human and given enough time who know what a warmind can do.
Atheon is actually a prisoner which is why he is guarded by multiple enemys such as the templar and the 3 gatekeepers in which is why the harpys are called supplicants since atheon doesn't like the vex he was imprisioned for wanting there destruction he is locked away and is protected by gatekeepers thats why there in the portals of the relic cause there how he can be released
OR: what if the traveler was running away from the vex and the only place he found where there wasn't any vex construction and he could create his own army (guardians) to defend him was Earth?
the oracles are(if in-game mechanics are to be taken into lore) the first or at least some of the oldest of the vex intelligences and they serve the purpose to see and to shape said vision and they do not predict the future(there is no future past or present in the vault) they serve in the vault as the eyes of the templar whereas the templar serves as the will of the oracles the oracles can shape a future in the vault without anything that hinder's the vex intentions(like guardians) while the templar can take such a vision and turn it into the current reality so the templar is blind and the oracles are powerless but one completes the other the gorgons on the other hand have the abilities of both the templar and the oracles although their abilities appear to be limited to the maze and nowhere else atheon was created by the vault(or at least after the vault) and ended before the vault(as we are teleported to both the "future" and "past" of the vault...and atheon is not present) all of that ties in with kabr he forged the relics from the shell of gorgons and the relics still holds the power to "will" certain things out of existance or at least serves as a catalyst through which guardians can enforce their will upon the vex within the vault the relics literally break the vault for the vex since they cannot be "will out" nor can they destroyed the relics so they try to keep the relics from us but a funny bit is: atheon did not exist at the beginning of the vault(as he isn't present in the vault's "past") nor will he exist after the vault(as he isn't present in it's "future") and yet the relics are present on both so i wonder if it could be that kabr managed to send relics both before and after atheon to keep them out of his grasp and to be left as help for whatever guardians might come before or after kabr himself to try and defeat that which lies within the vault? and could kabr have figured out how the vex time gates work to have accomplished such a feat?
Seems like the explanation of the Vex Should have gone before the VoG, but that's creators choice. I'm Really loving this series, and you do an amazing job of breaking down all the overwhelming meta-physical concepts so they are easy to understand.
Oh my god me and my friend were playing the vault and we had a lag spike in the gorgons lair and no matter how many times we got spotted we didn't die it counted as being spotted but no deaths except one. So we tried to kill them all but they respawn and we got spotted 49 times. XD
Sir Wallen - Lore Seeker You forgot to mention that Atheon is a synonym for a Greek word Atheos, meaning godless, without a god. I don't know if you know that or not but if he and the other vex with him are under his control are godless then are we the enemies? To prove this somewhere in the Grimoire or dialogue (possibly cut dialogue) states that not all vex follow the same god.
Sir Wallen - Lore Seeker Probably, but that's what people have to do is to talk to one another and give out information and if it could possibly be incorrect than make it true. By the way other than that pretty good video because Destiny does have a lot of Greek influence. Also did you know that when your in the tower and when you look at the words on the ground "ATRIVM PROPVGNATORVM" is "Court of Champions" in Greek?
I agree with alot of the theories displayed, with how much Bungie tries to tie these guys directly to the greek lore, atheon is a front runner, pulling the chariot that pulls the sun, hence why he is a god of famine. In lieu of that, it could be extrapolated that he is the first real initiative, he is trying to become a part of the universe at it's most basic forms, just as atheon pulled the chariot that pulled the sun, day and night are part of the basics of reality in our universe and more than likely his "supervisor" would be one of four greek figure (helios, ares, hector, and pallas) but atheon is always a work horse and tends to mean burning or shining (hence his eminent glow) but makes me more curious when you compare it to the undying mind strike on the dark below expansion that sony players get. it might also be safe to guess at the fact that the head of the vex, the primary driving force of the conquering front, quite possibly every action could be zeus, or kronos. the thing about the vex are that they really are a poetic understanding of space/time physics as a whole. When it is mentioned that gate lords keep safe areas locked out of time, they are implying space. we tend to think of them as separate concepts but the reality is that space and time are the exact same thing, abstract concepts the define position in the universe that we exist in. if you can think of coordinates as relating to a position on a map, the vex do something that was originally theorized by einstein in that if you could map out the entire universe on a time scale, you could also teleport because some of the more complex theories on time relate that perhaps all galaxies are loosely connected by being different versions of our own galaxy, and that our system is actually one long time line for planets, like mars is what we will become and venus is what earth was. essentially the Vex are one giant playground with which bungie can play with all the different scientific theories about time. Especially when you consider the higgs boson or time dilation fields for deep space travel.
I think Aethon is the first one we are going to see, I don't know how much time they are going to go into the greek mythos, but if they do, they can pull an abundance of information/inspiration. I'm not too experienced with theories of time and space, so I can only make conjecture to those points.
an even better way of describing the power of the Gorgons is they have the ability to rewrite history so that you never even existed in the first place
It's kind of sad that these kind of fascinating story elements weren't implemented into the main campaign at launch.Hopefully bungie gets its shit together.
Great vid dude. I only just found your lore series and it's about time somebody has done one. Bungie has said that there is a lot more to the VoG that the players haven't even gottwn to yet which leads me to believe that Atheon is a distraction. I've come to believe that to go deeper into the VoG the way Bungie makes it sound is to destroy all of the Gorgons in order to unlock the next phase, which is incredibly difficult to do I know, but I believe that should we do so we may wind up somewhere on Mercury instead of Venus since the Vex have totally assimilated that planet already supposedly. What do you think? We may wind up facing the "real" boss of the VoG and I don't mean Atheon.
I know its been a long time since this was posted, but when you were taken about Atheon you used the word 'casual' as in not serious. The word in the grimoire is actually 'causal' a word relating to causing something to happen.
Love the lore! Your videos are awesome! I was getting frustrated with how you guys take on Atheon though. Was this an early strategy? Weren't so efficient in taking him down or even the portal team. Just wondering cause you could have done it so much faster. Now if you were all just having a fun run then by all means do it whichever way.
Isn't the VoG the Vex underworld? I remember dinkle it saying that in one mission. Also Atheon means " no god" in Greek. This says that he does not accept the black heart as a god, likely being the reason he is in the underworld.
I'm just going to put this out there. Before the dark below when there were too many theories, I thought the Exo Stranger was Praedyth. The grimoire cards, the weapon descrips of the praedyth weapons, atheon's epilouge and the strangers rifle makes things blur together. Though people say Praedyth was a guy, that quote is written by "unknown" meaning, praedyth either exists or semi exists, but "unknown" does not, yet belongs to Praedyth, meaning it might as well be talking about Kabr even. I went on planet destiny and saw the stranger's rifle as an exotic and a quote about Praedyth and now I'm absolutely convinced they are the same. The evidence is close to the point they were on the same fireteam, but far enough to say they may not have been the same person as much as they were both killed the same way. Here's to hoping that the theory community will be correct for once ever, besides Gravity Falls and AT.
cmon bro. you completely forgot about the aegis, it is the very thing that allows you to complete the vault. i would really like you to do an in depth about both the aegis (and the sword from crotas end)
Just FYI Sir Wallen.... because I dig your videos so much.... Grimoire is actually pronounced GRIM' war... not Grim'Oray. Just thought I'd help. Your channels awesome dude. Keep it up.
The Vex are by far the most fascinating faction. I hope that we get an expansion in which we can go back to the Black Garden and explore it in greater detail and find out more. I think it's beyond idiotic that 2 of the 3 known expansions (Dark Below, Taken King) are about the Hive. They're goddamn space zombies, there's nothing more you can do with that shit.
They are killable i have killed one with help but what i noticed is that once i killed one it came back 30 seconds later as a yellow gorgon (maybe its stronger form)
What if the vex aren't really evil? We see them worshiping their gods throughout the game, well what if it was ancient vex that created the universe? Or possibly their gods created them as guardians of reality outside of the immortal world. Maybe they are carrying out orders from their gods to start over. Maybe humans are not ready for the universe and the vex were sent back to our system to remove us, and the traveler tried to stop them. Is the traveler another god? Is the darkness actually evil?
Vex doesnt have gods, they are gods themself. They see religion as a mechanism, like we see math. We can count things with math and solve problems, its a tool.
The weapons stand as testaments to the power of the Vex and those it has claimed.
-Hand cannon: they control the fate of others who challenge them
-Auto rifle: Atheon still lives, even in defeat - just in another time
-Scout rifle: they see things that would shatter what we consider reality
-Pulse rifle: explains the fate of Praedyth, a Hunter flung aimlessly into the timestream
-Shotgun: the Vex, quite simply are the ones who have the found verdict on other life
-Sniper rifle: further explains the fate of Praedyth - still lost in time
-Fusion rifle: another ode to the power of the Vex - they can erase what hasn't been yet
-Machine gun: the power of the Corrective programming, (meta)physically
-Rocket launcher: the summary of the Hezen Axis Mind
...and the Mythoclast, a weapon that exists in a future where the Vex have fallen to humanity, crafting tools from their weapons to further our future.
Destiny would be a sick book
Or a D&D game.
+Andrew Gatto im working on that actually!
movak 1400 U got permission?
well its mostly a long fanfiction
im not actually going to publish it
It would be like a million pages 😂😂

(I hit post too early) perhaps each enemy type is a facet of the darkness
Thomas Keller It could be, I'm still in the camp that only the Hive are working exclusively with the Darkness, the rest of the factions are motivated by their own ambitions.
That is true, but there wasn't enough information about that item, it most likely is of the Darkness, but it does not mean it is exclusive with it.
That is very true, prehaps they are all working with the darkness and it just isn't explained fully.
That could be very well on the lines of what Bungie is shooting for, that there are pieces of darkness and each of the enemy faction represent that in their own way. Thank you!
Love this series, great job man. The Vex are my favorite enemy in Destiny, hell my favorite video game enemy of all time. They are just surrounded by so much mystery, it's awesome.
who would have thought that a game that lacks so much in story delivers so much in backstory? i'm not bitching, but someone out there is.

I am quite a fan of Greek mythology and knowing it is heavily referenced in the vault is phenomenal
Beautifully narrated my friend. I love the videos and look forward to more.
trevorbradley Hell ya! More every week.

Ddnt know you played destiny.
Dion Stonom then u haven't been following much of her activity on here :)
Well she isnt the only friend i have ;). Interesting though. Do you play destiny btw?
Dion Stonom Yeah! Do you have it on PS4 or Xbox? If you are on a the PS4, then I could add you.
Nope Xbox one only. Would be cool to play though
I'm a new comer and I freaking love this series and hope you continue them.
As long as I have stuff to talk to about, I will continue to do these!
Hey man you do really good work, but I have some tips for you.
1- Try turning the gain down on your mic a bt to remove back noise.
2- if that fails, try using royaltee free music really low to cover it up
Lol, you are one of the worst youtubers. That's why everyone mocks you on the forums. Sir Wallen, keep your videos how they are, you're doing great!
Lachlan Martin People always talk shit about each other behind each others backs, it's just the cowards who keep doing it even after they are adults. You know that's called gossip, and women do that. Now run along back to your little forums and tell all your friends what mean ole Protomario said.
Lachlan Martin but proto is actually good lol
+ProtoMario how the hell do u have 300k subs?? (don't say some stupid cheesy shit...)
Dark Relix Honestly I just kept at it, I kept uploading and putting my work where people wanted to watch similar videos.
Wow great job! Glad I stumbled onto this. You've got a real knack for this stuff and good commentating voice man, keep it up! Subscribed :)
Thank you, I release new lore every weekend on sundays, and I try to keep the content as professional as possible.
Loving this series so far. Keep it up.
Thank you very much man, the next one will be out tomorrow.
Can't wait!
One of my first liked videos, funny to see it again 8 years later
Seeing content on this aspect of the game is rewarding and unique. Looking forward to the next installment. Thumbs up.
Well said, I feel like a small child at times though, clawing at things that may not be there.
Remember the guy that survived in the battle of the Hells Gates, made famous in the movie 300. He made it back to tell the tale. The stories need to be told. Didn't Leonidas have a potato etched on his shield. I think he did.
If he didn't he does now.
Thank you so much for making these videos. This is great stuff and I too love that detective work that goes into looking for the myths and facts that exist about interesting in-game places. i dont mind bungie putting a lot of story into the cards but i wish they could be read in game. it doesnt make sense that they force you to read the background of the story outside of the game itself.
I feel you, that is a large complaint from a lot of players.
Wally Maybe they can add in a little codex/grimoire tab in the pause menu, a lot like the ones in Mass Effect. Although I doubt it.
That would be awesome, the guy who voiced those in Mass Effect was superb.

That could be very spot on. I'm not sure exactly why they took the planet, but your idea here could be it.
Hold up, what do you mean "Go to Mercury" ????
Took me a while to realize that whenever he said "Gre-mo-ree", he's actually saying the word "Grimoire" (grim-war).
If only every aspect of this universe was implemented right now. The story of this game if you look into it is absolutely huge and fascinating
If I could go back in time and play everything in d1 for the first time again..I would with no hesitation
I would too, maybe at 60+ fps, but I'd be there
dude you make extremely well thought out videos on the factions.
Well thank you man!
Amazing lore video! Your idea is brilliant pure amazing. The size of the vex is huge the vault of glass is but a fragment of the power of the vex devouring all other enemy. The 3 Vex we fight in the Black Garden look very similar to Atheon. I think that the Cex in the Black garden pay tribute to the worm, which then allows Atheon the power control time and generate the Vault of Glass.
Kabr drank from the oracles while they sang their song, consuming kabr For Templar - let us not burden our remembrance with a heaviness that's gone.
oh my god this video is so well constructed. You definitely deserve my sub
Welcome to the family!
Awesome Series. I just found it but I am definitely gonna watch the whole thing. Nicely done!
Great lore video, once again. Good job!
Thank you and I am glad you like these, MORE TO COME!
Good news.
Thanks for uploading a great video once again.
Thanks for stopping by to watch!
Sir Wallen - Lore Seeker I wish i knew about this channel earlier. I could watch these videos all day.
No worries, still a pretty small thing we have going here, but I love that about this. A lot of awesome people are getting involved.
I hope the next expansion plays more on this. Like, somehow the vex are able to recreate this power outside the vault and since they control time and space, bring back a future atheon that was more powerful or a new atheon like being that would have been if atheon never died or something.
Destiny has one of the best stories ever. It's just too bad we can't access it in game.
still the best raid
I think since it is out of space and time or whatever if you try to glitch pass the door there should just be a giant rock wall blocking the whole thing so you have to create the spire to get in the vault
I heard somewhere that in the original pre activision story Atheon was a good guy and we were involved with the darkness
You have made the Vex VERY intriguing for me.
AS they should be.
This is really great you deserve more subs
mother of god your making me love destiny even more.
I one time called it the house of mirrors because that was the first thing that popped in my head.
I could've called it the castle of glass too.
Could be true, I don't think Aethon was an atheist though, more of Vex attempt at creating a God akin to the black heart.
Thats stupid
***** Hmm that could be. Never thought about the oracles at the Atheon fight.
NinjaPups hopefully we get more information on the oracles when learning about the fall of praedyth
***** man i can't wait.. the lack of actual facts and story about this stuff kills me. But people's speculations and theories are so good.
Why is there nothing about Kabr the Legionless or any of the other Guardians who attempted to raid the Vault of Glass?
I remember when DLC lady said something like "evil that despises evil" then crushes the Vex haha.
So many of these questions in this video are actually answered in the mission "Paradox" in the secret ending. There should be a video on that.
tranceduo secret ending? How do you get the secret ending?
It is a pretty interesting possibility. Maybe we could find something on those lines.
This gave me an idea for a story ten thousand times better than the original one bungee made
I'm interested let me know!
Say dud...wheres that story thats so much better?
+Sir Wallen You are the codex for Destiny.
Thanks, great video. Keep em coming.
I would like to say your videos are really good and well thought out. I would like to know if you plan on making one for the Vault of Glass on the story line. In the story I think there are alot of hidden information.
I am thinking about putting one together, in sort of a Theories series that would run alongside the current lore series.
I will see what I can do for the future, thank you for giving me this to work with.
Wow there's a lot of things i didn't know about destiny i have the game but wow lots of new things for me to learn
The Vex's hive mind is Rasputin in the future if the Guardians fail to defeat the darkness. They say it thinks like a human and given enough time who know what a warmind can do.
pretty cool and interesting stuff man, thanks for sharing.
No problem!
I think that with killing gorgons and not being able too leads to the saying "what can't kill you makes you stronger"
There better be a cabal raid they are challenging but fun and there better be one on Mars
I'm sure it will be.
Yeh, they want your money
The next raid is a fallen raid and I dont know if there will be a cabal raid since they didnt announce more expansion passes
***** Theres a Vex expansion DLC coming out. Thats all im saying.
NuclearFusion Gaming how do you know this? the next dlc is fallen and they only announced two dlc things (so far)
the oracles are(if in-game mechanics are to be taken into lore) the first or at least some of the oldest of the vex intelligences and they serve the purpose to see and to shape said vision and they do not predict the future(there is no future past or present in the vault) they serve in the vault as the eyes of the templar whereas the templar serves as the will of the oracles
the oracles can shape a future in the vault without anything that hinder's the vex intentions(like guardians) while the templar can take such a vision and turn it into the current reality
so the templar is blind and the oracles are powerless but one completes the other
the gorgons on the other hand have the abilities of both the templar and the oracles although their abilities appear to be limited to the maze and nowhere else
atheon was created by the vault(or at least after the vault) and ended before the vault(as we are teleported to both the "future" and "past" of the vault...and atheon is not present)
all of that ties in with kabr
he forged the relics from the shell of gorgons and the relics still holds the power to "will" certain things out of existance or at least serves as a catalyst through which guardians can enforce their will upon the vex within the vault
the relics literally break the vault for the vex since they cannot be "will out" nor can they destroyed the relics so they try to keep the relics from us but a funny bit is: atheon did not exist at the beginning of the vault(as he isn't present in the vault's "past") nor will he exist after the vault(as he isn't present in it's "future") and yet the relics are present on both so i wonder if it could be that kabr managed to send relics both before and after atheon to keep them out of his grasp and to be left as help for whatever guardians might come before or after kabr himself to try and defeat that which lies within the vault? and could kabr have figured out how the vex time gates work to have accomplished such a feat?
U have to make these more tense for sentimentel
Seems like the explanation of the Vex Should have gone before the VoG, but that's creators choice. I'm Really loving this series, and you do an amazing job of breaking down all the overwhelming meta-physical concepts so they are easy to understand.
Well, that might be because I don't understand them. So I explain in layman terms cuz I am one.
Oh my god me and my friend were playing the vault and we had a lag spike in the gorgons lair and no matter how many times we got spotted we didn't die it counted as being spotted but no deaths except one. So we tried to kill them all but they respawn and we got spotted 49 times. XD
What grimoire card where you reading from at 7:50?
Sir Wallen - Lore Seeker You forgot to mention that Atheon is a synonym for a Greek word Atheos, meaning godless, without a god. I don't know if you know that or not but if he and the other vex with him are under his control are godless then are we the enemies? To prove this somewhere in the Grimoire or dialogue (possibly cut dialogue) states that not all vex follow the same god.
Aethon from the information I pulled is the God of Famine and one of the horses of Helios.
Sir Wallen - Lore Seeker άθεος is the word it means godless/atheist in Greek. In English it's spelled out atheos.
Interesting, I must have different information of Greek Mythology.
Latin, but ya it roughly translates over to that.
True and super sketchy.
It's kind of sad that these kind of fascinating story elements weren't implemented into the main campaign at launch.Hopefully bungie gets its shit together.
I have faith, regardless I do enjoy the kind of detective work required to get the full story.
I'm a new comer. And I love this lore
Welcome to the family man!
Im not sure, I honestly think Aethon is it, they may have meant more or less, that players haven't found everything in terms of Story.
Now if you were all just having a fun run then by all means do it whichever way.
lmao at the way you were trying to kill Atheon!!!
llewellyn237 Check the record date. :)
I miss d1 so much. I would do the old raids every day but none of my friends play the game anymore :(
i love this series
Thank you for being here!
of course! it helps that you make amazing videos :D
Isn't the VoG the Vex underworld? I remember dinkle it saying that in one mission. Also Atheon means " no god" in Greek. This says that he does not accept the black heart as a god, likely being the reason he is in the underworld.
Will you be doing a video o the founding of City and it's early years?
nice stuf and content, if would please explain some stuff about Ishtar, i heared its an old godess ?
wait, Onthological Weapons? Doesnt Oryx have one of those as well?
Awesome vid!
Wait wait wait wait wait...were u using gjallahorn and hard light at the same time?!?!?!?!?
No, I don't have a gjallahorn, just the hardlight.
Ok I thought ur rocket launcher looked like gjallahorn
No worries you are good.
Well loved the video and keep up the good work
I shall thank you very much!
Was the gameplay your first vault run or something? Seemed like no one knew what they were doing in that Atheon fight.
Check the date.
Maybe the darkness is the vex that transcended existence
Thats a pretty awesome maybe, it could explain a lot of things.
Sounds like star gate with the replicators in the time dilation field
I only watched Star Gate SG1
Just FYI Sir Wallen.... because I dig your videos so much.... Grimoire is actually pronounced GRIM' war... not Grim'Oray. Just thought I'd help. Your channels awesome dude. Keep it up.
What weapon are you using in the beggining
Hardlight
The Vex are by far the most fascinating faction. I hope that we get an expansion in which we can go back to the Black Garden and explore it in greater detail and find out more. I think it's beyond idiotic that 2 of the 3 known expansions (Dark Below, Taken King) are about the Hive. They're goddamn space zombies, there's nothing more you can do with that shit.
CommanderKK i completely agree, VoG and the Vex are definitely the best part of this game
i think there are actually a few unfinished/unused black garden missions.
+CommanderKK The DLC after the Taken King is going to be Vex themed so look forward to that.
SERIOUSLY?!?!?!
Hive are as interesting as vex
They are killable i have killed one with help but what i noticed is that once i killed one it came back 30 seconds later as a yellow gorgon (maybe its stronger form)
I believe they get stronger and stronger the more you kill, and I haven't heard of any team killing all of them yet.
destiny is one of those games that has a lot of lore even about some weapons
Reminds me about dark souls
can someone tell me y every time i start the vault of glass im alone? no other people to fight alongside?
Do you have a personal favorite class? Also you have earned a sub
It does raise a lot of questions, but I sincerely believe the Vex aren't the good guys.
Vex doesnt have gods, they are gods themself. They see religion as a mechanism, like we see math. We can count things with math and solve problems, its a tool.
The Exo whether if guardians are bad guys or not. We fight for our survival.
I think the reason the Vex didn't destroy humanity is because humanity is or made the Vex in the future and then the Vex went back in time
So in other words they know how to use the izanagi and izanami?
