There are some nifty hollow wall screws you can buy at hardware / wal-mart type stores. They have anchors that expand behind the wall and come in many sizes, weights. They're not expensive. You can usually find them in a pack. I used them to hang shelves with brackets and they've only proved a problem when I moved out and needed to remove shelves >grin
good info, except what do you do when you need to hang something and it can't be on a stud because it won't be centered correctly. What I needed to know is what KIND of screws or molly bolts(?) do you use to hang heavier mirrors, pictures, etc., on a wall in a mobile home.
Good morning and great question! I personally hang heavy items on studs because I don't want to fuss with screws/bolts that might damage the walls. Hollow wall screws with anchors/monkey hooks might be an option for your needs. Thanks for watching and have a nice day!
Good morning! I haven't tried monkey hooks myself but I think they are used on drywall so it's possible, just can't say for sure. Sorry that wasn't too helpful and good luck!
Are you saying that nails are better than screws? Thank you so much for explaining finding studs. Im a new home buyer, first time manufactured home buyer
Hi Nupeygirl, you're very welcome! I think it depends on what you prefer. I have clumsy fingers so screws are a little harder for me to manipulate. Best wishes on your new home, I'm sure everything will go great!
