Smithy walked 2 worms off a cliff and basically killed himself on that last turn. Not much to look at but still impressive after so many years. And I agree about social media bringing out the worst because it creates the most interaction.
As someone who recently accidentally kicked a cactus and got a centimeter long thorn stuck in my toe, I am very thankful they make tweezers that sharp.
I took the "if it doesnt bring you joy" idea to reddit and left any and all subreddits which had any negative connotations to them, now my feed is just cats and things about my real life hobbies. My feed is positive, so I don't leave feeling depressed, but also somewhat boring, as it doesn't evoke my emotions to keep me engaged. I end up scrolling less, overall.
You do know that tweezers are used for things other than plucking hairs, yes? I _wish_ any of my many tweezers were that sharp. Will have to make an effort to find a pair that is proper sharp...
Someone in 8th grade threw a piece of cheese out the window on my school bus. And it wasn’t a slice of cheese, it was I think a chunk of cheese. The bus driver pulled the bus over and the police were called cause of what happened.
the whole ditching social media i have the same as trot with twitter but with fb, the amount of shit i see and genuine unintelligent people get hundreds of likes just makes me sad and makes me actively think the internet being so free and open to everyone is just bad, people are becoming more stupid by the day because of it i feel
ay i need me some of those tweezers. im a welder and i sometimes get metalshavings embedded in my fingers/hands/feet that i want to remove. i usually use a knife and or a sewing needle. but those tweezers seem to be 2 in 1 kinda deal. digging and extracting XD
See, I'm not so sure that social media is intrinsically a bad thing. What's ensured it turns out bad is basically as Smith said: over commercialization. As soon as any gathering place turns from forming a community to being a platform for advertising, it's doomed. Advertising doesn't give a shit about anything except short term profits, and will destroy absolutely everything in service towards that end. Marketing truly is mankind's greatest evil.
The problem isn't just advertising, but the competition for "engagement". The incentive for social media platforms is to draw people in with sensationalism and keep them there by making the platforms as addictive as possible
True.. but that all leads right back to advertising. The more people are engaged, the more advertising money they get. The platforms don't really get any other benefit out of engagement, it's solely in service to pushing more ads.
It's also a lack of real feedback. If you say something horrible irl you get instant negative or sad responses. Wanting to be liked and or empathy will make normal people behave civilized. People online were toxic before the boom of social media/advertisement (ie. in-game chat)
I still have a relatively decent time on Twitter but largely because I only follow artists. On Reddit though I have a significantly worse time on and it might be my least favorite social media
God i hated Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the whole thing just pissed me off but maybe thats because i was forced to watch and over analyse it for weeks. But even without that it seemed boring as shit.
@@ButzPunk Well technically they don't exist at all. Nothing that happens in a fictional work is necessarily real but we temporarily allow ourselves to believe it is real for the sake of being immersed in the fictional world. Perhaps I misspoke when saying that 'not being born on earth' was the prerequisite for being an alien, when in reality an alien is a creature that was born in a place other than earth (a small but important distinction). For example: I would consider a human that was born on the International Space Station to be an extra-terrestrial (terrestrial meaning 'of earth') since they were born in a place other than earth. In the bible it is clearly stated that god created the earth, therefore he must have existed before the earth, therefore he was not born on earth. You could argue that god has always existed and therefore was never born or created, meaning he escapes the extra-terrestrial label on a technicality. I don't necessarily agree with this I'm not religious btw, I just find it funny when people believe in god but find the idea of potential aliens to be "madness"
Haha “believing myself to be rational” is a good choice of words. I’d still rather a world without pretty much all the major religions but i think I’ve come to the conclusion it’s short sighted to ignore the cultural and sociological roles they play whether we like it or not. I don’t think I’m apologising for anything.
@@alsmiffy1 I hear you, and I'm grateful for the clarification. In the latest few videos, some of your statements have made me worried ;). I agree that religion is a fact of life and can have a positive impact, but I think it's important to recognize that it exists solely due to superstition and/or as a means to control people. The reason it can have a positive impact is that people are flawed. As for being rational, the best anyone can do is try. On the off chance that I still have your attention: Thank you for all the laughs for so many years!
Idk why Trotts so against Blue Sky, its like how Twitter used to be before ads. Its completely based on what you actually interact with and #'s. If it sucks, it's your fault Trotti
Probably one of the poorest worm performances, great episode

Been sleeping like ass, you know what that means? 269 episodes of Trials
Ross Horby error preventing the literal Apocalypse, it's like the Cold War in 1983 all over again
As someone who recently accidentally kicked a cactus and got a centimeter long thorn stuck in my toe, I am very thankful they make tweezers that sharp.
Really sharp tweezers do seem stupid right up until the point where you have to tweeze a hair inside a can. Didn't think of that one, did you Smith?
sharp tweezers are for embedded splinters and speaking as someone who makes wooden furniture, they absolutely have a useful function
The idea that the pantheon of Greek gods were aliens that visited earth was the plot of a Star Trek original series episode
@@Ethan-tn4jc nope
I don't know about this Chris Trott guy... But I'd trust Chrak Twott with my life!
and my wife
Ofcourse he is still jacked, its in his name.
I now want Smiffy to read off the whole, _“I'm prawn again!!”_ joke, since it's especially topical.
These guys have been playing worms professionally for over a decade
“Professionally”
Eternal Sunshine and The Truman Show are all-time classics...

So absolutely unhinged before the minute mark hits. Love to see it
This has been one of the worst worms rounds ever recorded, great vid as always from the boiks
It’s seems born again smaff is suffering from his past sins
We would throw the halogen lights out the window on the school bus
Always fun when Smiffy takes on his arch nemesis, himself.
Now that it was mentioned, im gonna need a revival of Havin' A Bash just to see you play Club Penguin
This is the best worst game of worms 😂
12:48 Legitimately though Tumblr is the best social media site now. It’s just as bad as it was in 2013 but all the other ones have gotten much worse
Someone in 8th grade threw a piece of cheese out the window on my school bus. And it wasn’t a slice of cheese, it was I think a chunk of cheese. The bus driver pulled the bus over and the police were called cause of what happened.
Couldn't tell this was a worms video from the thumbnail or abridged title. Almost scrolled past it.

I've been liking blue sky - I mean, uh, yeah no it's horrible, everyone stay away
Ohhhh, so ross's audio sometimes seems out of synch in worms vids because we're watching a different perspective which has lagged.

WATER!
BSKY is pretty nice.
feels like twitter from a good few years back and I'm feeling pretty okay there
Worms clan wars remains my favourite worms game.
i found it hard to distinguish the map from the background on this one
You guys should do a Deadpool watch series!!!
This video was rife with alex smith errors
Trott definitely has the vibe of someone who prefers Threads tbh. This sounds like an insult but it’s just an observation
Chris trott they'd love you on Tumblr
His university failed and he got the 💩sued out of him v💙
Just gonna ignore I Love You Phillip Morris??
A comedy of errors that
Bluesky feels like original Twitter. My feed is nothing except what I follow, and I can tailor other feeds to only show specific content.
I still have a relatively decent time on Twitter but largely because I only follow artists. On Reddit though I have a significantly worse time on and it might be my least favorite social media
Delete the apps Trott. Do it.
Agreed! Getting off social media was one of the best decisions I've ever made
How much did Ross have to pay to get a win this round
God i hated Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the whole thing just pissed me off but maybe thats because i was forced to watch and over analyse it for weeks. But even without that it seemed boring as shit.
yipee
At least Bluesky doesn't have a "What's Happening" side bar that's filled with political news and ads for anti-LGBTQ+ media that you can't dismiss.
Me,myself and Irene. Best Jim Carrey movie.
I have those exact tweezers, they're very useful for getting ingrown hairs...
Well technically god was not born/created on earth, therefore he's an extra terrestrial (i.e. an alien)...
Does this mean every fictional character is an alien, since they weren't born on earth?

Smith becoming a religion apologist is a disappointing development/regression. He used to take pride in believing himself to be rational.
