The nature of knowledge: Information, Knowledge and Understanding.

This video is the first part of a lecture that I taught at the Anna Nery Nursing School on 09/13/2018 in the Discipline "Theoretical Conceptions in Nursing", for a class in Rio de Janeiro and another in Rondônia that watched me through a video conference.
Throughout the class the emphasis was less on working theoretical conceptions and more on bringing practical consequences of these conceptions. In this first part,at the beginning , I present an operational definition of knowledge and then deepen the theme by presenting in detail the concepts of information, knowledge and understanding.
In the parts that will follow (in other videos) I will discuss the notion of wisdom, the characteristics of knowledge, and other topics about hypotheses laws and theories.
