Mongols of Ghenghis Khan or Greeks for me i think. I really like the fact that you have the option to do whatever you want with the Human Kingdoms army list. Thank you for giving us gamers some artistic licence. Keep up the good work guys
I have to admit, I was a little shocked by the stance on creating a Kingdoms of Men army. Shocked, but extremely pleased by it. Being able to use models from other companies says a lot about how Mantic see these games - for the pure thrill of hobby and seeing awesome painted armies. Well played Mantic, well played.
I love that you can use any models to play. Though i plan on buying mantics models, it opens up the game for people to play and try without a huge investment. Thats awesome.
Lots of good ideas in the video, I really like the idea of taking some of my old collection of GW dogs of war, that were sculpted by the perry twins and expanding on it with some of the newer sculpts from them so I can cover a wide range of different influences
A fw for me. A medieval/crusader like army/alliance that is allied to Basilea and there relationship is kind of like the European Kingdoms and the Papacy but taken in a different direction. Also was thinking of a Greek city state that often fight each other but united when each of their freedoms feel threatened. And the other is a mix of Samurai and Imperial Japan that is starting to become more outward looking since coming into contact with a Dwarf expeditonary force in nearby mountains.
Dark Elves/Twilight Kin would perhaps be better, or even Basilea (ignoring their "good" alignment). Basilea have the sisterhood units which are really good, including basic infantry and very nice fast cavalry. You could easily do evil spirits as Counts-As Elohi (tough, regenerating flyers that grant bonuses to Basilean units nearby).
The Wars of the Roses would be a pretty cool themed army ... or, I don't know how well it would fit but, English Civil War themed? Both would even fit two kingdoms at war with each other over some [forgotten] triviality, religious or border dispute ...
I love the idea of being able to completely customize your kingdoms of men army. I think I would go for maybe a Macedonian army, or an African tribes army.
I'd like to make a kind of caravan army. Not in the style of mongol/hun/those guys from GoT, but rather like an always walking kingdom of carts, living off the lands they pass through locust-style. I imagine lots of light-armored infantry with a chaotic mix of different styles of equipment, and the occasional warmachine or armored wagon. A way to spend all the bits I have lying around, in other words.
I always wanted a samurai army. I never really found models that I like a lot for it though. Most of the really cool ones were just characters in other games and I don't think I want to pay individual model prices for enough to make regiments and such. Granted it has been a while since I looked, maybe there is better stuff now!
I went for a typical human theme with pike and shot. Used mostly Renedra minis from War of the Roses. Painted in a colour scheme of black and yellow like the Swiss Uri.
It's not the most creative, but an army of Perry miniatures was of the roses models is the one I would go for I think, best on the market of that type of figure I think.
I would do an elemental human army. A few shaman type humans that are painted to look like a particular element is coursing through there very being, lighting striking forth from the eyes, vines sprouting from the legs and digging deep into the earth...that sort of thing.
Dark Ages army/ Viking of course but also Norman (shield wall and heavy cav) and Anglo Danish styles - lots of shield walls plus spears... Oh I have all those figures painted and ready to go...
Can you ally two neutral armies together? If it's possible I think a Kingdoms of Men army alongside some Ogres would be pretty great. They'd form the greatest mercenary army ever seen in the world of Mantia.
I think it would be cool to have a mercenary army made up of models from various ranges with like samurai, hoplites, camel riders... man so many things I would do with this army if I had the money
I do hope Mantic don't release any Kindoms of Men minis. Their list allows pretty much any models to be used, and I can get creative with my Perry Miniatures knights.
Eh, the fact that they do not have models out for this is slightly discouraging. Yeah, I like how they allow people to bring in other models from other ranges, but most other ranges look bad... Just my opinion though.
I'd make a Russian/ Eastern European themed army. Kossack light cavalry, heavy cavalry on bears, infantry with thick coats carrying axes, things like that. Great game!
How about a Zulu-themed army, supported by war elephants and led by a gunslinger-wizard? Honestly, what would be cooler than a wizard armed with a shotgun or tommy gun or something? How about this: the gunslinger-wizard riding a fire-breathing dragon, who's also armed with his own arsenal of guns/cannons? Beat all of that, if you can.
I would like to see sculpts for the humans of every type of era aka like maybe take the idea that they arnt uniform troops but as said in the begininng of the video persian romans norse etc the skys the limit!
Evil humans is the way I would go. Probably religious abyssal types using dark warrior monks and priests. They'd torture others relentlessly probably lead by Prior types ala Orai from Stargate SG1. "Blessed are the Abyssals"

A nice idea and breath of fresh air to allow all mini-lines.
Sally forth Lions of Lannister!
loving the flexibility of the use the models you want for these guys
I love that you can use any models to play. Though i plan on buying mantics models, it opens up the game for people to play and try without a huge investment. Thats awesome.
I'd go with something like a samurai-musketeer army, possibly supported by dinosaurs and minutemen.
Watching these videos makes me miss James. He was a real credit to the Mantic community. This is a great intro series to KoW!
I haven't actually looked much into the Kingdoms of Men. It's one I should probably check out. Thanks for saving me some effort in doing so :)

I'm looking into making a 30 years war themed army, pikes, muskets and cannon and some mounted sgts
The Black Company themed army. Yes!

Interesting. I am having a hard time figuring out what I could do with this one. Any number of options and themes sound good to me.
So many ideas.. I love that they don't tie the human army into a specific feel. As they said, there are so many different models available out there.
I was worried initially it was going to be another generic human force, but i totally dig the customization of it.
I like how Mantic lets you use whatever models you want for the Kingdoms of Men
Kind of nice to see them open this faction to use any human army you may have already...
The Wars of the Roses would be a pretty cool themed army ... or, I don't know how well it would fit but, English Civil War themed? Both would even fit two kingdoms at war with each other over some [forgotten] triviality, religious or border dispute ...
Loads of choice - nice approach KoW - Kudos!
I like the idea of being able to do whatever you want with this army, but that brings the problem of finding minis and bases that are the right scale.
Still loving these videos
i love this idea with the humans being anything u like from history or made up very adaptive well done thats awesome :)
Pretty cool about human armies, sounds like a good reason to pick up some more Saxon/Viking/Norman miniatures.
I still have an un-opened Warhammer Empire regiment that will now find good use. I love this game more and more
I love the idea of being able to completely customize your kingdoms of men army. I think I would go for maybe a Macedonian army, or an African tribes army.
I love the customizablility of this faction. Now to get myself some Samurai.

That's great that mantic allow models from other companies.
English Civil Wars-themed Kingdoms of Men for me. Or will be once the painting table's a bit clearer
Awesome flex option here. Egyptian force complete with chariots etc. would be good to see.
Love the flexibility of the list. Evil ninjas allied with abyssal dwarves for me.
Definitely a lot of possibilities. I would go with a Bronze Age theme sworn enemies of Elementals.
I love rule sets that let you create you own unique force.
an Aztec army with a big alter as the focal point drawn by horses and people being sacrificed to the wicked ones. that would be cool
I would do an elemental human army. A few shaman type humans that are painted to look like a particular element is coursing through there very being, lighting striking forth from the eyes, vines sprouting from the legs and digging deep into the earth...that sort of thing.
I am going to build a landsknecht/30-years war themed army
So many things you could do here. I've seen some great looking Roman models and Vikings...too many possibilities.
Dark Ages army/ Viking of course but also Norman (shield wall and heavy cav) and Anglo Danish styles - lots of shield walls plus spears... Oh I have all those figures painted and ready to go...
Nice video series indeed. I'd like to see more battle reports with Kings of War games, though
Great coverage guys, thanks.
This makes me want to play an army with a Samurai theme to them with some Heros being from Japanese Mythology.
I am thinking a Northern barbarian army, with warbear cavalry. Most likely ally with the Dwarves, and do a little trading with the Elves.
Are they going to post the Basilea expansion as a free download in their web-page?

Kings of War really have come a long way; not just a fill-in for WHFB, no?
I could see an Arabian Kingdoms of Men army like 1001 Nights.
Hmmmmm, interesting an open faction...really like the feel of using other models
Looks good, can't wait to get a chance to play!
Eh, the fact that they do not have models out for this is slightly discouraging. Yeah, I like how they allow people to bring in other models from other ranges, but most other ranges look bad... Just my opinion though.
This sounds like everything is possible. Just think about it an army of Friesian housewives wielding pots of steaming hot grits.
Entry 13! YES, YES, YES!!! Definitly my favouite faction, with Abyssal Dwarfs coming a close second
Ah, the kingdoms of men, what would life be without them!
I'd make a Russian/ Eastern European themed army. Kossack light cavalry, heavy cavalry on bears, infantry with thick coats carrying axes, things like that. Great game!
A samurai themed human army? I think yes.
Great video guys.
I've got a Carthaginian army that'll fit perfectly for the Kingdoms of Men!
guys what you think should mantic o in to moe comix design to divide/separate them from GW?
Watchful I Studio is making a Chinese themed miniatures. In case people like to know.

I hope I will win something at last ! It would be great to have mantic models in such number to pain specialy new angels ! and give it a try
I think an old Scottish themed army would look great allied with dwarfs
Debating between Celtic clan or Scottish Picts army
I am going for an ancient Greek army with Minotaurs and Cyclopes and other mythical beasts counting as ogre allies.
I would like to see sculpts for the humans of every type of era aka like maybe take the idea that they arnt uniform troops but as said in the begininng of the video persian romans norse etc the skys the limit!
I am thinking to do a gladiators army.
love these videos!!
KoW has very interesting take on humans in fantasy world.
kingdom of men archers mounted on huge treemen
mmmm, Ancient China. Love the style of Dynasty Warriors/Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
I like how open the army is but playing humans in a fantasy game just isn't for me
A few choices in army styles
It wouldn't be bad thing if you would add links where you can download rules
Better than last unboxing,
Being an Aussie I've always wondered about a fantasy Aussie army. Kangaroo cavalry anyone??
How many men do they have in Kings of War?
i really wanna start to get into this game, looks so good and WAY cheaper then GW
It's really good, totally worth it.
i thought of a cool human army, Aztecs or something with a southwestern US feel
Kings of war looks great
I would love to see on anti Undead army composed of very Middle Eastern looking men.
Evil humans is the way I would go. Probably religious abyssal types using dark warrior monks and priests. They'd torture others relentlessly probably lead by Prior types ala Orai from Stargate SG1. "Blessed are the Abyssals"
I want to make an army of naked human warriors.
Well.... Interesting options whbf mercs definitely doable
Roman type army would be cool.
As long as it's not supporting GW, I'm all in.
Oh so many options!!
They had me at samurai
an army of human witches maybe? or is that too dark elves
Awesome!
love the show
So many options!
I have just one thing to say. SPARTA!!!!!
Top stuff guys :)
Looks good.
