I'm 100% confident using Father Fish soil. My 20 gallon is proof enough for me, that tank is just taking off. Plants need trimming already it's only been up for about 2 months now. So I'm pretty happy with the results

What are the "what nots" to do? I am thinking of using at least some dirt in my tank but do not want issues. I have enough to deal with. What do you feel is the difference from using "dirt" and substrates like Fluval Stratum, etc., etc.?

So I have 3 planted tanks with planted substrates and they are all doing very well. I wanted to do a natural dirted tank. With that said my 20 gallon is done with Father Fish his dirt substrate that has all the supplements for great plant growth. I tried my 29 gallon with just straight compost but as you may have saw my video from yesterday that didn't work out. So I have order more of Father fishes substrate to redo the tank. Hope that helps
