It does feel that way..in one game I was getting gold after gold.. good in the day..not so good at night! I had the same thing in Relic last night..I rolled 5 (count 'em!) sixes in a row for the enemy.. damn dice!
0.0 @ 17:10 "Flee for your lives for the destroyer is returned brothers! If she senses the artifact we're all doomed! Our only hope is the General and his approaching army....may god put the wind at their noble backs!" (Hey, tell me I'm *wrong.)* ^ ^
I like it !! I want to level up before reaching the camp and labyrinth, so burning a monastery sounds ideal...let's see... i hope to play next round tomorrow :)
When assaulting the mage tower at the 10 minute mark, you could have called the war beasts to join the fray and used the siege to kill monks, assign damage from the beasts to the golems and used intimidate+golems to kill both of them, gaining 8 fame and no rep (since intimidate negates the bonus from killing rampaging enemies), allowing you to level up and recruit another unit.
Good stuff ! Any advice on what my strategy for next round should be ? (although I blew my plan of exploring a core tile on this round..maybe I'll do better next time!)
I wonder, why you did not play a card sideways for another move before provoking the Orks. This way, you would have ended on the mine a turn earlier and at least been able to explore the central tile before Volkare cut off your way. Which brings me to my main question I had, which probably won't be covered in this walk through: Is it true, that you still just have to reveal one central tile to make gold units available in the expansion? In the base game, this means, that you first have to explore all green terrain, but with this setup, you are allowed to just rush through one new explored green tile and explore a central one as your second to add them to the units offer. Is that right?
hi Markus: yes, I discussed the Move from 2:30. My intent was not to go for the Orcs initially, but once I'd moved I'd moved, then I changed my mind and went for the Orcs :( Hindsight is a wonderful thing for sure! And yes, you can explore how you wish to get the Gold units available with this setup; you just have to explore and reveal a Core tile. Neat huh ?! Thank you for watching! R.R.
I really appreciate your video gameplays/walkthroughs! Thank you! At 7:05, you used three movement to moved to the mine, but you move from an adjacent space with monster to an adjacent space of the same monster. Doesn't that provoke the monster? Or is that not the case because it is a Mage Tower and not a rampaging monster?
I don't know if you've reached the same conclusion on the MK dice as I have, Ricky. I think they are horribly unbalanced because you'll run through the same 2 colors in a full 6 round game way too often. May need to pick up some precision dice to replace them.
I always wonder while watching your playthroughs of Mage Knight: your Mana crystals are so shiny and colorful, the ones that I got in my (German) copy of the game are quite dark and sometimes you can't even tell blue from black... I wonder if it is due to your lighting for filming the video or if it is because of the production of the different publishers? Btw, I would love to see another MK or Robinson Crusoe playthrough some day ;)
Too bad you didn't provoke the rampaging enemy when you were on the mage tower. Taking 2 wounds (3 damage with brutal make 6 vs 3 armor) and fighting with your Guardian Golems (+2 attack) with intimidate (3 attack) and healing after the fight with your +2 heal skill (you didnt you use Guardian Golems and the +2 Heal skill at the end of the round) That way you should have reach another lvl. But good video anyway. I really love this game.
Learning MK in 2020 watching these incredible videos (third playlist of yours I'm going through). Job well done, thank you very much!
hahaha, Call to Arms to use movement on a peasant. Sometimes you just don't have a choice, but I find that so funny!
Great Job as always!!! I learned to play the Game with your videos, and now I'll learn the new mechanicals with these ones!!
Thanks Ricardo. After a while it gets easier for sure, but you gotta stay alert.. so way to miss things. Thanks for watching, Rick
Much obliged for the clarification. I only recently purchased and began playing Mage Knight - your videos helped immensely!
Nice video dude. Really like your MK play through. Do more of them! Keep up the good work
That's right. Only the ones out in the countryside (not in a fortification) are rampaging and provoked . Thanks for watching! Rick
Yes keep going! Excellent work!

@@BoxofDelights Thanks for the fast reply! And thanks for your videos, too. They are awesome and really helpful!
When is the next episode coming up? Cannot wait to see you confront the general.
hopefully one round per week... not bad going.. but it's tough finding time. I'm itching to get back at it...!!
Thanks lords.. there will be more, most def !
Hi Tom, thank you !
Playing Volkares quest. If I defeated over half of the enemies do I get fame from defeated enemies before next turn? Thank you!
hi, good question: yes, you do.
Thanks John ! Me too :)

Keep doing the vids as you do. I learn much from watching.
I'm a bit scared now... it feels pretty tough... and the cards I've picked up are not giving me the best synergy.. we'll see :)

Wil's shows are great.. I gotta leave that stuff to the pros !
thanks diamond! Gotta keep you guys in suspense a bit longer.... :)

yes, why don't you summarize mage knight into 5 minutes? :p
Buddy, get other people to play with you. Wil Wheaton has a show... go take a peak and plagiarize. Play 25 min and summarize in 5 min.
