Trichomoniasis CAN and DOES survive in the mouth too and can be passed on via oral sex also. i'm actually going through this right now. i was diagnosed with trichomoniasis and i never had vaginal sex in my life. i only received oral sex from another man and i'm being treated for trichomoniasis right now.

Getting trich is worse than getting a yeast infection because it came from another person, which is horrid for the psyche. lol Bacterial vaginosis/trich are both horrible. Yeast infections sometimes seem to happen on their own and oral meds clear it up. Getting sick after a new partner just sucks though.

Love how its never really explained how Trich is formed in men. That's the biggest question i have. How do men contract it? Couldn't it be contracted from a woman who might've had a vaginal bacterial infection, now the man is infected asymptomatically and then passes it on? If I'm hypothetically speaking (since there's no explanation in how man contract it), couldn't that be possible?

The doctors tested me for all of the mainstream stds, all tests came back negative. They finally settled on "it must be all in your head". I spent 14 years wondering if i was crazy. At age 18 a man brought me to a strip club and forced me to let him give me oral. I was scared so i submitted and was raped. Antibiotics can refer to any substance used against microbes. This is in distinction from the more specific term antibacterial, which refers to substances used in the treatment and prevention of bacterial infections.
I was going to say this too but I looked up the preferred medication, metronidazole , and it is both antibacterial and antiprotozoal. I do agree that the video should say "antiprotozoal" to make the distinction that this is a protozoa infection and not bacterial.
Elliot Engel tinadazole is another treatment option & is only active against protazoans. Tinadazole is a true "antiprotozoal"
there are drugs that can be used against bacteria and protozoan, as metronidazol with Trichomonas or agaisnt Helicobacter pylori or TMP-SMX

I got it and did not have sex.
shit went into the prostate, or rather has been there for years without symptomps, because it came back after the metronidazole + broadspectrum antibiotic for like 2 weeks, and worse in that, now waiting on modern medicine from France, because the medicines in my country are of less quality and are more harmful to the useful bacteria, which is why I only complicated my condition with them. Trichomones munch on other bacteria via phagocytosis so having healthy bowels is important and the antibiotics ruin the bowels so we have a paradox. Oh well...
Doctors cant do much but perscribe metronidazole and tinidazole. Dont stuff yourself with the same antibiotic waiting for a different outcome . I started a healthy diet - NO alcohol, little cofee, a tea for the urinary tract in the morning and evening, propolis dissolved in ethanol in the morning, and generally avoid shit food and eat more fruit, veggies, lots of lemons and less meat and bread. The symproms basically went away.

This disease is more common at the period of greatest sexual activity. It was always believed to be a sexually transmitted disease. But, an extensive literature search showed that nonsexual transmission of trichomonas can occur through fomites like towels and toilet seats and from swimming pools.
