DDOS is a federal crime as it affects core internet routers and every device which that traffic passes through. Those people should go to jail.
Not only that i am sure that its hella againts terms that you agree too when you install. You're responsible for damages, Imagine Respawn starts suing people for damages.

Fully agree respawn/EA need to give us a better rank system or fix this cheating issue bc it’s sad how far apex has become from what it first was at the beginning. There is no fix to cheaters tho. Riot I would say is the only company with an effective anti-cheat, but even then they still get a lot of cheaters. Even if the cheaters get banned they just get another account because they spoof, so a ban essentially does nothing. With TPM 2.0 it his much harder for a cheater to come back if hardware banned, but not every developer is using that technology yet. Riot is the only one that requires that I believe. There is an AI anti-cheat in the works which looks very promising, but it's hard to say if it's effective. The only solution right now is to put known cheaters into cheater lobbies and normal players in to normal lobbies. Right now FPS games are just infested with cheaters. Tarkov, COD, CSGO, Apex or any popular FPS game is infested with cheaters and it's extremely hard to stop with how advanced cheat technology is now and it costs a ton of money in investment to combat which I can imagine companies don't want to do.

I was ratting on broken moon with 11 squads left. I was legit on the edge of the map in a corner. Have been there since 18 squads. Randomly a level 26 pathfinder jumps around the corner prefiring me…….. he didn’t have a scan character on his team. It was lifeline loba pathfinder. I’m just so tired of actually trying to play this game and dying to stuff like this.
I had an octane , path wraith just pre fire hop onto me. I hadnt moved in 5 minutes. I was behind a rock playing edge... I would understand if they stayed there but nope immediately go back to where they came from.

As a dude who works 10 hours a day, I just want to be able to come home and play something without having to worry about getting hacked on, cod ranked is just as bad as apex, and nothing but a tweet will get done about it, they say they work on getting the accounts banned, but like you said they just make a new profile. Fps gaming is just getting so brutal the past few years.

It’s definitely not unreasonable to say that they should be fined. At the end of the day, it costs these games more money to police this stuff/repair their game when this stuff happens. It is, in a way, a cyber attack.

I love this game and I take in so much content of it. So, to see it in a state of disarray because some lunatics like to come home and make others suffer is just something I personally will never understand. Respawn/EA have no excuse, yes they have publicly accessible servers but they should really put more protection such as a connection limit from a particular IP. DDoS isn't new and new methods do crop up but honestly it should be SSDD at this point. pivot and adjust accordingly respawn!
You could at least start jailing people at the top... If you cheat and you've ever competed in a tourney that has money implications. Then you could do a criminal charge. Start at a misdemeanor, in the charges get progressively worst. So at least it will scare some people from cheating.
It should definitely cost the DDOS'r $$$ every time they're caught, and scale up the price every time there's a new violation.
Something will come where it will set precedent on hackers in video games... it has to. The tides are turning, people are getting sick of cheaters in video games and in real life
You're 100% right man. And it's not just Apex. All these indie companies like Riot, Blizzard, Origin, and games like Valorant, Cod, Apex should focus more on helping build stronger Anti-cheats rather then producing more cosmetics. That's why I stopped playing a lot of these games. There was a point in my life where I added a hacker just to see how he got them. That's how bad it got and how desperate I was. I got tired of it. I never got the hacks. To make things worse someone hacked into my Valorant account and then my steam. Shits a fucking nightmare and annoying.
Cheaters have always been an issue but with all the changes this season a lot of people and attention is back on Apex and it only takes one cheater to ruin a lot of fun for a lot of people. I think I hit like 4 cheaters in the last week which seems a lot higher than my usual but the problem is we can't report them anymore as they have cheats to stop us from reporting them.

Last night I got lagged put 5 times 20 the day before about 7 the day before that and I'm about to be back in platinum here probably tomorrow. And those lobbies as well as diamond lobbies are plagued with hackers. Either way caught almost 10 wins yesterday and clutched a ranked match so hackers still stuck

It can't be that hard to DDOS cuz it seems to happen in every rank, in every rank game.
I remember when WaterGotHim use to DDOS servers for clips and make rank faster. The XBox problem was just an unintentional bad glitch. Now, people are doing targeted DDoSes with malicious intent again. It's even worse in pubs, which is strange. I've lost count on how many times I've seen entire squads drop, and just stay still in one spot for the entire game. It's so strange when you're one of the teams that didn't get affected. You're running around while everyone else is stuck in one place. The team that is full of DDoSers just rides around on a Trident picking people off like nothing. It's beyond cheap and pathetic.

I think the best way to solve this is ban devices from using the game. I know that games like Clash of Clans ban phone devices from ever using the app even after creating alt accounts.

I've been saying this all season, and everybody on the apex sub is just guzzling the devs nuts and pretending like the hacking and cheating aren't a thing. I've been playing this game for several season, thousands of hours, and the cheating is out of control. It was never as bad as it is now, and the mixtape playlist is literally full of cheaters testing out their cheats aimbotting, walling, everything.
I'm glad Nickmercs is saying something about it because his experience 100% matches mine, and it says something that he's the only one talking about it while all the other streamers are pretending everything is just roses.

As a person who plays MW2 it is bad but now down bad. I really enjoy it, People just have to hate on every single thing that changes that they don’t like instead of realizing that they were using that tool as a crutch and don’t get better just cry about the shit they don’t like.

Try blacking out your game screen from the before you even ready up, until you have landed and got your loadout, will help from streamsnipers and people getting into your games to target you broski!

I watched a TimtheTatman vid yesterday and his most liked comment under this vid was a guy selling scripts and a VPN service for COD. It's crazy that people can't just play a game honestly for fun.

I installed walls and aimbot on an alt account to prove a point to a friend, took Respawn/EA 4 months to ban the account. Blatantly cheating, and took them that long. It’s sad, I come across cheaters all the time. Ranked and Pubs..you report them, and nothing happens..
They release people who've committed violent crimes in real life so we know they ain't gonna do shit about video games unless it starts to effect their wallets
