I’m a preschool teacher, new in the ec industry. My centre was unable to find a cleaner for around 3 months now. Thus, my principal instructed all teachers to clean the school(vacuum, mop, sweep, wipe cubbies, wash toilets etc). I found it very disturbing as this cleaning duty was outside of my job scope. I helped for awhile and recently I bought it up to my senior teacher and she told me that I need to be a team player and help out when the school face a difficulty…..
I want to say as an HR. it has to depends on how powerful the ops is in the company. If they are bigger and ego, HR no power already la. And of course not all companies are like this. Sadly this happen for me. Is the culture issues ba. Whether you like it and have patience or not is whether the company is suitable for you. Not suitable then zao ba.
All I can say that in local banks, the HR will normally side with MD levels. Those rank below the MD will normally get marked by HR for insubordination.

It is Not specific to any generation. Work relationships are Not friendships. And bitching is ranting, Not gossiping.
