Word Study: parákletos (Greek)

The Greek word parákletos occurs in the Bible in only 5 verses and is translated to "Comforter"(4-times, as spoken by Jesus) and "Advocate"(1-time, as spoken by John) in the KJV. These are important texts since Jesus said that the parákletos is both "the Spirit of Truth" and "the Comforter".
