I never realized there was even a difference between literary and genre fiction. Now I know! I enjoyed the conversations as they seem like they could be based on a real life experience.
I really enjoyed this novel. Don't take this the wrong way because I love them, but this would make a amazing Hallmark movie. Enemies to lovers, with a perfect happy ending.
"Or had he just made a slight, 'Your mamma' joke." LOL Dang! I am really liking the way this author writes! Oh my gosh! I am loving (spoiler) the exchange between Emerson and Aden at the coffee shop (at 42:30)... Oh my gosh - too too funny! (5:22:00) wow, I don't know if this part (Spoiler) where Emma is hurt by that creepy critic because he was using her to get to her mother... I don't know if this part was supposed to be so emotionally piercing - but dang, my heart's aching and I'm tearing up. It breaks my heart for sweet little Emma. Aww man! Only five minutes left! I don't want it to end! This was such a sweet, thoughtful, tender little story. I loved the epilogue, sigh... It was cute and happy and everything a book should be! I loved the entire book. Really worth the listen.
Just heard a second book of yours! You are an incredible author! How much research goes into your work? I will be on the lookout for your book. Your narrator is also excellent!
I can't tell you how much , I enjoyed this book I live in , Seattle and love the places you include for the readers., Also thanks for giving us an insight about how really hard it is to write I always wanted to but life got in the way!! Thanks again
Aw, that's hard! I don't vibe with every voice either, BUT, if you try listening at 1.25 speed or 1.5 speed, I think you'll find you enjoy it. Not trying to talk you into anything! Just a discovery I made for myself. And I think by next week, I'll have another book up by a different narrator you can try!

Loved this story-very funny and sweet
I’ve never read this before. Super fun look between highbrow literature and reading people enjoy. Well done
I enjoyed your story. Thank you for sharing it with me. I've recommended you to my wife and her friends. Stay well, Ronald
Listening at a higher speed 1.25 helps with the voice.
I really enjoyed this novel.

I love the way they interact with each other
I lived on Whidbey island for 15 years. Makes me happy it’s set on Whidbey ❤
I've been lucky enough to say with friends on the island a few times, and it's so peaceful for my anxious little soul.
One of my faves!! 🥰🥰🥰
This was a great book. Enjoyed it very much. Look forward to hearing more of your stories. Opal M

The voice isn't terrible, but sure it might not be what you're used to. Certainly wouldn't justify not sticking with it because of the voice.
@@MelanieJacobsonAuthorPlease get a different narrator there’s no way to listen to this person
@@MelanieJacobsonAuthor tried, 1.5 worked best
So much better than AI !
I really enjoy light-hearted romance, but pass when the reader has a high pitched voice - as in this case...too hard on my ears.
Not at all a fan of the narrator (sorry!) but that wasn't enough to keep me from thoroughly enjoying this unique story.
Narrator's voice too loud for my liking. Bye.
Narrator's voice, and heroine's personality - didn't like both 😢
I couldn’t make it an hour because the guy was the most annoying adult I’ve ever heard of.
