I never realized there was even a difference between literary and genre fiction. Now I know! I enjoyed the conversations as they seem like they could be based on a real life experience.

I’ve never read this before. Super fun look between highbrow literature and reading people enjoy. Well done

Listening at a higher speed 1.25 helps with the voice.

    I really enjoyed this novel.
Don't take this the wrong way because I love them, but this would make a amazing Hallmark movie. Enemies to lovers, with a perfect happy ending.

"Or had he just made a slight, 'Your mamma' joke." LOL Dang! I am really liking the way this author writes!
Oh my gosh! I am loving (spoiler) the exchange between Emerson and Aden at the coffee shop (at 42:30)... Oh my gosh - too too funny!
(5:22:00) wow, I don't know if this part (Spoiler) where Emma is hurt by that creepy critic because he was using her to get to her mother... I don't know if this part was supposed to be so emotionally piercing - but dang, my heart's aching and I'm tearing up. It breaks my heart for sweet little Emma.
Aww man! Only five minutes left! I don't want it to end! This was such a sweet, thoughtful, tender little story. I loved the epilogue, sigh... It was cute and happy and everything a book should be! I loved the entire book. Really worth the listen.

I've been lucky enough to say with friends on the island a few times, and it's so peaceful for my anxious little soul.

Just heard a second book of yours! You are an incredible author! How much research goes into your work? I will be on the lookout for your book. Your narrator is also excellent!

    Can’t take the voice

Aw, that's hard! I don't vibe with every voice either, BUT, if you try listening at 1.25 speed or 1.5 speed, I think you'll find you enjoy it. Not trying to talk you into anything! Just a discovery I made for myself. And I think by next week, I'll have another book up by a different narrator you can try!

The voice isn't terrible, but sure it might not be what you're used to. Certainly wouldn't justify not sticking with it because of the voice.

I really enjoy light-hearted romance, but pass when the reader has a high pitched voice - as in this case...too hard on my ears.

Not at all a fan of the narrator (sorry!) but that wasn't enough to keep me from thoroughly enjoying this unique story.

I couldn’t make it an hour because the guy was the most annoying adult I’ve ever heard of.
