    Hey there! Back this spring to follow your video once again. Hope all is well. We're getting ready for another great camping season and knew exactly where I'd start the process! Doesn't matter how many times I do this, it's nice to have these videos to make sure I'm getting it all done right.

    Great video! I really appreciate this because we just bought ours - same model and the walk through was pretty fast.

    You might have told us to plug the drain back up first for the new camper owners. Lol I've flooded my path to exit the camper after turning the heater valves on

    I would always be worried about residue if I wanted to drink from the faucets. I did watch one guy air blast out the lines a couple of times and only put anti freeze where the p-traps were and some in the toilet and lid. Didn't put any in the water lines.

    • @SmallFamilyBigDreams
      @SmallFamilyBigDreams  3 роки тому +1

      @denrizza I run plenty of water through the lines before we use them for drinking or anything really. We haven't had a problem.

    Hey! Thanks for this video I used it to de-winterize my trailer as I have the same exact model. However my water isn't getting hot and I left the valves like you did with the bi-pass valves facing in toward the water heater. Is that how they're supposed to be left? I just want to make sure it's not a problem with my water heater.

    • @SmallFamilyBigDreams
      @SmallFamilyBigDreams  2 роки тому +1

      Yes they should be pointing towards the water heater for use and pointing towards the bypass line for winterizing. All I can suggest is making sure that you have propane flowing by lighting the stove. We had an auto lighting water heater so if yours is manual I not really sure how to reset it.

    If you use the pump to winterize, is the pump itself full of antifreeze?
    So when you use the city water connection to de winterize, you’re not actually flushing out the pump?
    So in the future if you decided to use the pump/tank option you’d have contaminated water?
    Thanks

    • @SmallFamilyBigDreams
      @SmallFamilyBigDreams  8 місяців тому

      Yes the pump will be full of antifreeze, correct on the not flushing of the pump, and its supposedly non toxic but I'm sure it has a terrible taste. You always want to flush out anything that has had antifreeze in it

    I love all of your videos! We bought our Coleman in November and your videos helped me tremendously! Where did you get your mirror in your bathroom> Amazon? Do you have a link?

    What did you do with your watery antifreeze in the gray/black tanks? Dump it at a site? I don’t want to drive with anything in the tanks.

      I just left it in until we got to a campground. It's not very much fluid to tote around, maybe like 10 gallons total.

    You mentioned you have 2 spare tires, where do you keep them?

    • @SmallFamilyBigDreams
      @SmallFamilyBigDreams  2 роки тому

      Typically we would just throw at least one of them in the back of the truck with the bikes.

    • @tinaspaniol528

      @@SmallFamilyBigDreams Thanks so much for your reply! We have been doing the same with the tire, but I’m trying to find a more permanent place for it in the camper. We are trying to get it under the bottom bunk bed this weekend. The bumper was not sturdy enough to hold the tire, unfortunately.
      I love your videos! You really walked me through winterizing my camper in the fall and I just got it ready for the new season. Thanks again!

    • @SmallFamilyBigDreams
      @SmallFamilyBigDreams  2 роки тому

      @Tina Spaniol I actually purchased a spare tire holder for a truck that I was going to mount under the camper somewhere. I would like to make a video of it soon on our new camper but would be kind of a universal solution for most campers. I just haven't gotten around to doing that yet but maybe in the near future so stay tuned. God Bless and safe travels.

    What about tire pressure?

    • @SmallFamilyBigDreams
      @SmallFamilyBigDreams  Рік тому

      Yeah definitely give everything a good once over and follow the tire manufacturer recommended pressure since they are all different and wouldn't want to tell you wrong.

      Flush the system out with clean water and then reverse the valve back

  • @cdawgRJ
    @cdawgRJ Рік тому

    So you don't have to add Bleach to the water system, do you?

    • @SmallFamilyBigDreams
      @SmallFamilyBigDreams  Рік тому +1

      No we don't do that. You can add a fresh tank additive. You can get it off of Amazon or at Walmart

    Hey man we just got our a few months ago. Flushed out all the lines have water in the hot water tank and gas is on but the hot water heater will not turn on? Is there something I'm missing? There's no switch inside or anything it looks just like yours

    • @SmallFamilyBigDreams
      @SmallFamilyBigDreams  2 роки тому +1

      Is yours an auto start or manual start. If it's a manual start you have to light the pilot from the outside. If it's an auto start I always light the stove to help with the gas flow in the lines. It always seemed to help with the water heater doing it this way. Hope this helps
