  • This video goes through setup and initial use of the MBB SUP and Kayak Trailer. The trailer provides a way to transport your paddleboards or kayaks to the water with your bicycle or E bike. The trailer is both length and width adjustable, allowing you to carry boards up to 14' in length, and with width options that typically handle up to 3 SUPs, 2 kayaks, or 5 longboards. The seat post attachment is tool free and easy to use, and the front tow bar swings down to double as a kickstand for loading, storage, or simply using the trailer as a handy cart. Fat tires roll across sand and gravel beaches, and hooks on the side of the trailer hold your paddles securely. Spend more time paddling, less time strapping boards to your car and looking for parking spots. Use your MBB SUP and Kayak trailer for all of your paddle adventures.

I just finished building my MBB SUP/Kayak trailer. I had a browser tab open on this trailer for a year before finally pulling the trigger. Virtually no company makes a trailer for whitewater kayaks. I live in MD, just 5 miles west from the Washington DC line, directly adjacent to the Potomac River, a mecca for WW kayaking. This trailer behind my e-bike will allow me to ride to a variety of put-in points along the river, accessible by the C&O Canal towpath, avoiding crowded parking lots, some annoying portages, saving my back and shoulders from inevitable injury. I really like the accessory mounts for rear rack so I don’t have to attach to the seat post. My only suggestion would be to make it easier to break down to put in an SUV or van when traveling away from home base.

It hooks to the seat post which is too high. The center of gravity is much too high. This will push you over in corners. I had a kayak trailer like this and returned it. It was too dangerous for anything more than a crawl.

I beg to disagree on that point. If you had a low bar, you’d obviously bump it with the rear wheel in a turn as happens with the toddler bike trailers. While I don’t like to clamp anything to a seat post, they have a variety of accessory mounts for rear racks, etc. You can see from the videos, this trailer is pretty well balanced.
