Hello, I have a used 2005 Sportsman 800efi. Replaced the fuel pump it stopped working while doing that I also changed the Injectors and plugs now it just doesn't sound as it should. Top end running it was back firing a little. Did the Fuel Injectors get crossed by any chance ? Before I take apart again.
Have you purged the air out? Turn the key on, then off, (make sure you hear the fuel pump primes) do that 3 times. Then on the 4th time, start it. Does it sound any better? How old is the fuel?
Engine. That would be the most expensive part. Maintain it properly by doing regular oil changes, replace air filter, spark plugs, If something doesn't sound right, do some troubleshooting and fix it. Don't run it if it's not right.
