    Objectively "which is the best" would be the obvious answer being the Sunday Soundwave. Now subjectively, is a different story. Everyone has a different budget, life situation, how serious they are or want to be about Bmx and so on. I personally am very happy with Sunday as a whole. The customer service is THE BEST in the industry. Someone tell me what other Bmx company takes care of their customers as well? Their warranty dept. is amazing!! I also think Oddssey is hands down # 1 parts company with Eclat as a close second.

    calibur cranks and the cassette are on the bike because they’re LHD and RHD interchangeable. The caliburs are also cheaper than the thunderbolts :)

      $700 for a complete bike with steel forks & bars and no double walled rims.

      Yeah you know, I love Sunday and odyssey for aftermarket parts, but I really think that they overcharge on the complete bike line. When you look at other brands with similar qualities, they’re usually significantly cheaper than Sunday. I don’t have anything against Sunday. But I do think that you can get a better bike for less money if you shop from a different brand.

      Hey man! I appreciate The well thought out, comment. I just had someone else comment on a different video saying that I’m so negative and I never recommend any bikes so it’s kind of funny to see the opposing views from the two of you. I agree I love the idea of actually having the bike and riding the bike in the reviews but it’s definitely not possible and doesn’t change the way that these reviews help people. Let me give you a few things to think about that might change your opinion.
      1. I started this mostly because when I was 13 I got my first BMX bike. It was a 19.5 inch top tube and I was about 6 foot. Just that alone made it incredibly hard for me to progress at a reasonable rate. The quality of the bike was full height and for steel single wire rims and it did not last me very long at all. Which intern cost me to upgrade my bike within a few months. I was clueless about specs geometry and quality so I just got the next bike that looked cool. This bike also did not last longer than a few months. It wasn’t until my fourth bike and thousands of dollars later that I started looking at quality and specs. When I started paying attention to those things my bike started to last a lot longer and my progression went through the roof. Unfortunately there wasn’t a tool like dougsterbob around when I was purchasing bikes if there was I would’ve save thousands of dollars. So I designed everything around that fact is how would I have helped myself not spend so much money on useless bikes and how would I help myself understand the importance of specs quality and geometry.
      2. I’m not tied to any brand so therefore I don’t have any reason to push a particular company. The reviews always favor the companies the provide the best value for the customer. The shops that do “reviews” are the ones you need to keep a close eye on.
      3. I use the term “review” lightly since my videos are more of an analysis on size/geometry and part quality. On the longevity of the bike when put under pressure from a “pro” level rider.
      4. I definitely agree that these reviews would be cool with the actually bike in hand. But few of the people who watch this channel ride at even a remotely similar level. It would be silly for me to ride a $400 beginner bike and offer my experience up as the “norm”. Also how could me being 6’4” riding the bike provide a similar analysis for someone who is 5’4”? Bmx is very dynamic and everyone is different height and weights and skill levels so my “test ride” of a bike wouldn’t mean shit to someone who is a different size weight and skill level. All I can do is analyze parts and geometry and help narrow down the options. Aftermarket parts are a whole different story and that’s why you don’t see any reviews on here. For integrity reasons, I won’t review after market parts without having them in hand and riding them.
      5. To really genuine test a bike or product you need to put it under pressure for months to years. Assuming all bikes were the same size and geometry for riders it would be impossible for me to test all bikes for a duration of time, maybe 2-3 PER YEAR if each one was ridden and tested for months at a time. Any other channel that rides the bike will do so for a day and out it back on the sales floor. Does that day of riding really prove anything for the bikes longevity?
      Either way I love what I do and have helped thousands of people make a smarter bike decision and did it for $0 for the first two years of the brand. Now I make a small percentage on bike purchases through certain sites but the only thing that has changed because of that is the quality and frequency of the content. Not the integrity. Love having you on the lives and in the community Ian but it’s not for everyone and I’m ok with that 🤘 still here for you when you have Bmx questions

      @COSMO a 20.5 will definetly help and feel better for your height, however i know peopel who are 5'4 and have a 20.75 and have good bike control. if you believe youre done growing in height and i were you i would return and get a 20.5. im saying this because long term it will be much better and much more controllable for your height.

    • @chumpy.
      @chumpy. 2 роки тому +1

      @COSMO and yes it is a big difference. when u start riding alot, like me, i ride a 20.75 and when i try a 20.5 i feel a difference immediatly. so i recommend getting a 20.5 if u believe you wont grow taller and will stay 5'4

    Otherwise good content, but You have the tendency to at one point say it`s good for something and at another point saa COMPLETELY different. Being said, you judge only the by the specs without testing it. The previous sentence is not related only to this video but gives the false impression on a bike. You should really test the bikes before telling someone that the bike is no good to certain things unless you have tested it.
