I actually have both installed on my s23 ultra, and I agree with you. Beeper is 💯 times better than sunbird. Beeper has fast response and sending over sunbird. Also beeper sends videos extremely fast and ultra clean and clear over to both iphone and Android. Beeper for the win so far👍🏿💯
I just got access to Beeper and I've been using Sunbird which is still buggy. I've mainly been using Bluebubbles and I'm curious to know your opinion on if Beeper is better than Bluebubbles
Thank you for the thorough overview and explanation. I had trouble finding a video that really explained what Beeper does and how it does it, so I could understand if there were any risks. I believe I’ll use my own Apple device to route my Apple ID through. I have a few extra IPads and other Apple devices I should be able to use.
Had sunbird for about a month - 2 months..... Just got access to beeper about 3 days ago. Definitely like how quickly they messages send on it vs sunbird..... But my media messages are blurry af and if I want to send full quality it sends a link instead. That's trash
I don't care about colors of bubbles but i do care about receiving/ sending pictures and videos in terrible quality. How do these apps handles texting media between Android and Apple?
I haven’t had any issues sending media between Android and Apple. The people I was texting never mentioned pictures/videos being overly compressed or anything like that.
Thanks for the comparison! Was wondering which one I should go with - seems to be Beeper for now since my main use case is actually the unified messaging. I wonder how Beeper compares to some other unified messaging apps like unipile, disa, element one, IM+
@morm2173 I may be incorrect but I don't believe old iMessages can be recovered. And under settings there should be a toggle that says use phone contact list. I have that turned on and can use/see my contacts.
If you have an active sim in an iPhone and use Beeper on your Android, it will show your phone number. But, if you only have an Android phone, it'll show your Apple ID. help.beeper.com/en_US/chat-networks/how-to-use-imessage-on-beeper-android This link explains it a bit better. Hopefully, they can find a workaround that will let iMessages be sent from phone numbers on Android.
Nice! Great comparison... I just tried to download Beeper and they also have a waiting list! "Thanks for signing up for Beeper! Over the last few months we have had a record number of people interested in using Beeper"
Thanks! I apologize for that, I should've clarified its available to download but still has a waiting list. With Sunbird you can't even find it in the Google Play Store yet.
I just got accepted on beeper and still waiting on sunbird. Beeper works excellently as a combo app for the messaging portions, as well as for imessage. No FaceTime or audio/video calls, but that's fine
Great video! Would love to see more on this topic as iMessage on Android options become more developed/mature!
Anything new that I learn about, I'll definitely try to share.

Sunbird definitely has some catching up to do to polish up to Beeper's level.

Hey man great content, if i can make a suggestion...please get a mic, it would be alot easier to listen to you
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.

No problem I’m glad you enjoyed it. Beeper is definitely the better option at the moment.
@@nrmlcnsmr installed it yesterday and for the most part things are working - the help chat/staff are very proactive for any bugs etc
Beeper is giving me an issue with imessage says fetch validation data
I haven't run into that one. Have you reached out to the Beeper support team?
@nrmlcnsmr yep they helped a bit
@morm2173 were they able to help resolve it or still getting the same message
@nrmlcnsmr to a degree but another issue is it doesn't really look like the imessage on my old iPhone also it won't show contacts
@morm2173 I may be incorrect but I don't believe old iMessages can be recovered. And under settings there should be a toggle that says use phone contact list. I have that turned on and can use/see my contacts.
When you text someone on beeper, does your phone number pop up or your email for imessage

Bro the mic audio is super low.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll make sure to avoid that going forward.
You're welcome. Thank you for the comparison. Definitely helped me to go with beeper instead. I have finally received the invitation email.
No problem and I’m glad you got the invitation email. I know some people get the invitation quickly and for others it takes awhile.
still waiting to be let into beeper :(
😞 hopefully you’ll get in soon

Beeper is definitely the more polished option at this point. It would be a game changer if they ever find a way to integrate FaceTime calls.
